ive been playing this game for so long and i usually get bored when theres nothing new to learn. So i reached plat and left the game for a couple months. There were atleast 3 techs i didnt know about in this video that really impressed me and opened my eyes to new possibilities and rapid movement. Thanks for that, have a sub!
very good advanced tech tutorial. not many exist for brawlhalla, and as a tech nerd myself im happy there's something i can refer people to the naming of some of the things isnt community wise- short dashes are often called lag dashes, and platform falling "dashfalling" great video regardless!
Thanks! :) Actually none of my videos are monetized, but TH-cam started putting ads on pretty much every video (including non-monetized ones) around December 2020. It basically works the same way as monetized videos but TH-cam gets 100% of the money from those ads.
it's great to see a video that's spreading the mechanical amazingness of brawl to all it's players, such information makes the game so much fun to play and also more interesting great video, keep up the great work
@@BennyFPS actually it does, at least for me if anything it must be either because of ur hardware or because of connection issues coming from client side and/or even server side
@@testhekid I should've added the fact that I'm talking about european servers. And a gigabit connection should be fast enough on a ps5. Though I feel like the PS5 is dropping more inputs than my ps4 prior.
something i realized today is that you can do the dash+fall through platform thingy by pressing down and dodge at the same time. it's pretty tight, cuz doing it too slow will cause you to just dodge down
AYOOOOOOOOOOOOO THANKS MATE SO MUCH I DIDNT EVEN KNOW 10 of them really thanks i know them all now almost perfected too really appreciated although moonwalk is sick buts hard af
Just want to point out you are making the quick ground pound a lot more complex than it needs to be, after the backdash you only need to hold down when pressing dash and heavy attack, as down is a forward dash when on hard platforms
Thanks for pointing this out! It's true that you don't need to hold forward for this, but I don't find this one extra button press to be any harder, it seemed natural to me to just hold forward to dash forward. It's kinda like the neutral attacks / recovery in combos, some people prefer to release every button and some people prefer to hold up. Also, in the following example where I do it with a Scythe Nair, you can see I don't press down at all (because quickly switching from down to up would be harder than holding forward). But it is indeed unnecessary for blasters groundpound, and this tech is pretty much only useful for blasters groundpound anyway, so yeah no need to hold forward, it's up to preference.
thanks bro some how when said buffer forward dash for fast groundpound i knew how to do it and when i got the spacing right i did it 3 time consecutively under 7 mins thanks❤❤❤❤❤❤
So its still kinda useless but that moonwalk has a weird use. It can actually be used to slide charge pivoted moves without pivots. For example chase dodge reverse nlight unarmed pulls you back really hard when you pivot it, but if you moonwalk into it and then pivot the move, you end up with slightly less stun frames and no pivot. Pretty cool stuff
@@Rhododo one question though. In unable to do the platform dash fall without losing my momentum. Am I not hitting my keys fast enough? It seems like a difficult move. When I try it and hold down I either snap to the platform and dash or fall with no momentum
@@JadseyBH Well, bad wording from me in the video, it actually doesn't keep the dash's momentum for very long, after falling through the platform you quickly go back to walking speed. The useful part is the initial burst of speed the dash gives, which is mostly useful to surprise an enemy with a quick long range dash falling attack (like the blasters sair shown in the video example)
Thanks for your comment! :) I sadly don't have a controller version of this (since I don't have a controller). I can only think of one video that shows controller inputs, which is Stephanafro's "A WAY Too In-Depth Guide on Artemis". At 16:27 on the video he shows you how he inputs Dash Jump Fastfall Sair/Nair on controller. (also his video is amazing)
On 00:21, you can also reverse slide charge with a back dash. By back-dashing into the edge and then using the momentum of the back dash, before you fall, input a sig ( you can also cancel the momentum in which you are falling to by holding back but makes it a bit more harder ) it's easier in my opinion because you don't need to turn around in the last moment but depends on you if it's harder or not, also may i know what program do you use to record those keystrokes in your keyboard?
Interesting, thanks pointing this out! I still prefer the forward dash most of the time because I'm used to it (and forward dashes are faster than backdashes), but yeah it is a bit harder to do, both should work well! For the keystrokes I use nohboard, there might be better software for that nowadays but it does the job
Well, I don't really see what I could explain about the combo system, limitations can be hard to define because there's a lot of factors (stun frames, recovery frames, fixed force, variable force, your position when landing the attack, how far away from you is the enemy after the attack, how far does the hitbox of the next attack go, etc...) For example you can jump out of Katars Nlight Dlight at 2 dodge frames but you can't jump out of Gauntlets Slight Nair at 3 dodge frames, because Katars Nlight's fixed force pushes the enemy too high. But I don't really see a simple way to explain it because of the amount of factors that can affect combos
Hello! l check some yt videos and still don't understand: how to jump quickly after chase dodge for true combos? I tried to attack-cd-release forward-jump but is doesn't work.
I can't think of any true combos that use chase dodge + jump because of the extra frames it takes, usually it's just one of them. For example Sword Dlight Jump Dair (no chase dodge for this one), or Hammer GC Dlight CD Recovery (no jump for this one)
@@Rhododo yes, i understand. But what about gauntlets dlight nair? How i hear, to do this 100% true, u need or do it from GS dlight, or from dlight cd jump (not jump cd!). I tried simply - jump cd. But for 2 hours i did it true 4 times and usually was 1-2 dodge window.
@@aasarchives7104 Ah, Gauntlets Dlight Nair. This is a very hard combo to hit grounded, and tbh I never use it because Nair doesn't have true followups at this height anymore. I prefer to go for either Dlight Slight or Dlight DJ Dair for damage + read setup, or Dlight CD Sair to send them offstage. But there's basically two ways to do it: The first way is to Dlight Jump CD Nair. It's oddly hard to do because the buffer for this combo is glitched for some reason. And the second way is Dlight CD Jump Nair. Now here what happens is that since the buffer is glitched, it will swap the inputs and your character will jump before chase dodging. Both ways are very hard to do but apparently most people seem to prefer the second way. I think you have to input the chase dodge quite fast after you hit the Dlight and buffer the jump too just after, but I'm not 100% sure.
One thing that I feel should be used more often is dash jumps after a ledge cancel. This is essential in higher level play where players may read the ledge cancel.. For instance a dash jump after the ledge cancel allows for you to reach a place faster (dash jumps cover more distance than dashing) or evade something like an axe dligbt, aerial or signature. It’s a good mix-up.
You might want to try it out on a new person though. A dash jump is also useful in the case of one player being hit by a stray axe dligbt. That could potentially end badly if you weren’t quick enough. Another important thing with dash jump, is timing. You must make sure to land precisely on your mark and move quickly once there. A mistake will result in injury as well as loss of health. If you don’t take note when you step up onto the ledge you’re going to miss the mark entirely. If you don’t pay attention during a jump there is no guarantee you won’t fall.
bro can you answer 1 question ? when we groundpound or edgeguard someone in brawlhalla the oppenents legend start sweating why? eg - when we use spear and use down recovery(helicopter) in edge then when it hits the enemy , his legend starts sweating why?
i dont know if im blind but i didnt see it in the video, how do i make a platform midair and use a ground signature? ive seen people do it and im sick of not being able to do it so please help me on this one
