This is amazing, and to all the people out there who have been saying 'They think they can do better than the La's' well think again, cause i had to learn this for music and it isn't exactly easy, so they did very well and are very good at this!
Great performence ; you can really hear "the song" apart from the flashy instruments / production gimmicks ...thanks, Wombats !! (never though I'd get to wirte THAT sentance !)
@Snnijp í mean there might be some move ... when i hear the text, and i watch the video and i see him singing, it really doesnt look like he´s singing what i hear ... at the moment ... yes, he´s singing it, but the voice or video is faster... i guess
the intro aint that bad,but the rest of it is pure shite...sorry,but i love the la's,and i've never heard a good cover yet.i think maver's voice is massively overlooked an all,its full of raw emotion..perfectly suits the song if you like, like ian brown's and shaun ryder suit the roses and monday's respectively, like you can't imagine anyone else singin it!

words cannot describe how much I love The Wombats.
I am extremely proud to be from Liverpool right now :'3
This cover gets the Pirate's stamp of approval
The Pirate Has Spoken
there they go, there they go again. they are so awesome.

ah wow, i went looking for this when they first did it then forgot about it! thanks for uploading
Excellent come back, love it.
Nice song about Heroin! Love it, a great cover.
that is an excellent cover, murphs voice is amazing on this track
I like how they say thats scrape ourselves through this one, its quality
omg this blows me away every time i listen to it, its actually amazing.
i really like the twang that the banjo brings into the song, aswell as the backup that dan and tord do
Everything they do is just so cool!!!
i'm glad you put this here
the videos on the new triple j tv website don't work for me
Just brilliant as always
I love this! Like a Version in Trple J has got to be the best segment ever. Have discovered so many good bands from it.
to be fair i prefer the la's version but still respect to the wombats for doing a good job plusd there version of patience by take that is sick
love love love
quite a good cover
BANJO!!! theyre awesome!
Proper good.
No they are not, 2 are from Liverpool in the UK and the other is from Norway
the new triple j tv site fails
just fails
I loved that show! It would have been the la's version.
i think they did a pretty good cover

Yeah I have to agree
hahahah
there she blows.
Angriest.Indie kid. Ever
Just for the record; the lyrics are actually 'There she blows'
so its not just a wombats thing :|
does anyone know if the tabs of the wombats version are somewhere on the internet?
why are people saying this is better than the original? Its alright not a patch on the La's though
aaaah gimme the la's
it wouldn't work for me or anybody else from the wombats forum either!
ukulele??
they have two guitars and a BANJO. lol.
people should learn the names of instruments >.>
triple j website that is
@Imferio Its the right video, Its not in sync with the music tho
play reading
the video doesn´t fit with the music, does it ?!
imo? could you please explain to me what that means?
download
why did you say that for.
Yay murf
Everything about this cover is great, apart from the lead singer's voice, which is not all that pleasant. Love the banjo touch though - beautiful.
sublime
song about heroin o'corse
one of the brothers in the la's
major skaghead
thats not slanderous :]
Urghhhhh
you don't cover that song
i like the original better
the intro aint that bad,but the rest of it is pure shite...sorry,but i love the la's,and i've never heard a good cover yet.i think maver's voice is massively overlooked an all,its full of raw emotion..perfectly suits the song if you like, like ian brown's and shaun ryder suit the roses and monday's respectively, like you can't imagine anyone else singin it!
nowhere near as good as the original
UKULELE.
I don't get paid to do it better, so there's no need. Anyway, the La's nailed it long ago, so let's just leave it at that.
what, your comment or your poor taste in music?
Couldn't agree more, just a really poor band
their not even changeing anything, its the same melody etc. boring imo
he sounds tone deaf
