Okay, folks have mentioned that Jeffrey Combs played Thy’lek Shran in Enterprise, and Weyoun and Brunt in DS9, but let's have a run-down of all the Trek characters he has played, shall we! Shran, Andorian, Enterprise. Weyoun, Vorta, DS9. Brunt, Ferengi, DS9. Krem, Ferengi, Enterprise. Kevin Mulkahey, Human in 1953 (hallucination or maybe not!), DS9. Tiron, unnamed species (creep alien with the hots for Kira!), DS9. Penk, unnamed species (coordinator of the bloodsport Tsunkatse), Voyager. (The same episode that had The Rock as a fighter!) Suldok, Romulan, In 2003’s Star Trek Elite Force II video game, but I think it still deserves mention. And finally, Holosuite Guest, Unnamed, Human, In the series finale of Deep Space Nine, our main cast enjoys one final performance holographic lounge singer, Vic Fontaine. Among the guests at Vic’s club is Combs sans makeup, in a 1960’s style suit and tie. Is he a hologram? Is he another Starfleet officer who felt like dressing up that night? He doesn’t speak and remains in the background, so we’ll never know for sure!
I just thought of something. Both Dr. Sam Beckett(Quantum Leap) and Capt. Jonathan Archer(Star Trek ENT) participated in a fight to the death in one episode each to my knowledge.
He also played one of the ferengi in the episode where they went to the other defunct station that was a sister "vessel" to DS9. I think it was called something like 'the ferengi code' or 'the ferengi way' or something. Bet you like his ferengi character too. Bet you want to "lobe" him into submission don't you? Thats sickening. I LOVE IT. Your awesome.
I really fullhatred hated the CHARCTER Weyoun... even a Ferengi will take joy in killing Weyoun. As commander Shran - I wish the Andorians come to us as First Contact instead of the Vulcans.
No. You don't....Shran is a VERY rare example of an Andorian that didn't let his pride and paranoia ruin chances of an alliance by shooting the "pink-skin" first and asking questions later.
I bet the women go crazy for all the things he can do with his anteni's. Isn't he the same guy that played the prodominant Vorta commander in DS9's last two seasons???
I agree with garry o´neill - we must make every effort to make first contact with the Andorians before the Vulcans get here. Andorians and humans are a good match.
The problem is, they're TOO much alike...The only reason why pinkies and Andorians had a chance to get along before one blew the other up is because, thanks to the Vulcans, Humanity had tech to keep up with Andoria. Had Andorians come across the post-WWIII Earth, with humans just beginning to rebuild...I don't think they'd have such respect, and would think of them as a species lesser than they are. Andorians _are_ known for being paranoid xenophobes, after all.
Jeffrey Combs was so awesome as Commander Thy'lek Shran! He was one of my favorite parts of the entire series! lol
Jerrery Combs really brought the Shran character to life. We (fans) actually admired him (Shran), felt something for him.
