Thats interesting as I noticed you put the paper on using UNDILUTED PVA glue!!... All the other videos I have seen use 50/50 water/PVA dilution....Perhaps your way stops the paper shrinking by the water??....Thanks....Laurie NZ
Exactly, low water content means less stress on paper when drying. But less water means thick glue so possibility to use too much glue so more weight. It is compromise, but I will rather have slightly heavier build than wrapped wing.
We need to prepare rib template for the cut, and add something to ensure smooth rolling of the wire cutter, glue the sheeting together and ensure balsa grain run parallel to both TE and LE and sand them to same thicknes, cut the slot for aleiron caps, TE and false rib for the tube to attach to, more sanding too. All of that needs properly cut foam core, a build of wire cutter, and a flat surface(flat surface is hard to get)... I am building one, and I could have if it were balsa wing :)
At about 2:37, what kind of paper did you use? Looks like normal white printing paper or was it a fabric? At 3:32you had a translucent film over the wing while it was set to dry. Also what looks like a thin film of plastic. Why? Nice video. I enjoyed watching it.
Nice video. I have a balsa Guppy 1 and it flyes like a dream .There are 2 videos here. I want to try your foam core wing. Can you sent the templates for cutting ?
it was regular 80gsm white packing paper and glue was PU foam glue, that will foam during cure, therefore create pressure against negative mold resulting nice finish.
Very nice! What did you use for covering...That sheet on which you applied glue before placing between the mylar on foam bed? Doesn't look like glass...thanks!

I couldn't figure out how to message u but how did u make the foam cutter cause I'm trying to make a wing for a rc shweizer 2-33 that's for my air cadet squadron just message me ur response
I disagree with that. Compared to laser cut balsa, foam core wings takes more time to do, it needs plenty of templates, but with proper foam core building, you can built one straight wing, or incorporate twist equally for both wing. But if you are building more than one wing, foam core is faster than balsa built up, because of the reuseable templates.
Making foam core wings in building process saves a lot of time. A great video demonstrating such building technology.
Suuuper Video 👍 very, very good
I am quite surprised by the answer. I must admit that you have a very professional attitude to the demonstrated bulding technology.
I hope your plane still can fly till today...very beautiful...nice work
+Rodzi Osman She has been sold, but as far as I know, she is still flying.
Beautiflu build , I liked it very much would love to make one like this , is it possible to share all details like plan, electronics used ?
Based on your video I will be using these techniques on my next glider build. Well done.
woow very good job

Nice build sir, love it 👍

Die Kerne sind super geworden👍🏻
what kind of resin/glue in the bottle? Excellent work!. šikovný chlapec ...:).
Beautiful! Congratulations!
Nice video
as cover what material you used and with which glue
thank you
Nice ! Very ! Very! Nice! What a freakin nice work! 💙
good job and nice result!
Beautiful job.
Great job on your video!
Quickly and simply.Nice
Nice Finish...
that's mean your DIY plane is tough and strong built...I will build one based on your technic shown in the video...well done..

Exactly what I want to do. Cheers.

Great job dude !!
In therms of weight, how does this compare to balsa?
I don't really have acces to balsa wood, and i will try to make full foam glider.
excellent work
great video if you made the fuselage yourself cany you share a video about it.
Hello ! gwhich is the material you use, the transparent.
you have a great idea about the construction of the wings. very well.
what was the paper and glue ? please.
it was regular 80gsm white packing paper and glue was PU foam glue, that will foam during cure, therefore create pressure against negative mold resulting nice finish.
Wow.
Thanks. This video help full 😊👍🏻
That is awesome! subbed

I like it
How does compare to the original wing ?
Could you send me material list about covering. I just try produce UAV and being hesitant.
what kind of resin/glue in the bottle? Excellent work!
What paper you use?
Alguien podria decirme que material y pegamento usa para forrar las alas en el minuto -3:56
Which airfoil do you use? Tq
Hello. What density is that foam?
Hi, just normal EPS or XPS will do the trick. EPS is lighter but XPS is stronger.
paper saturated with wood glue? Thanks
Why didn't you just use the wire to cut the spar?
Which type glue used
well done

you have the bluprints?
I want to know how to make it
@ Scale Soaring
End weight?
What kind of music is played in the movie?
At 5:00 what is that thing you put on your drill to make the hole for the servo?
+Felipe Forlin Hi, it is high speed grinding dremel
what is that foam and where can i get it?
It is normal EPS foam.
+Frank R. Pilot It's styrofoam. You can buy sheets of it at many hobby shops or online.
Y los planos?
