If there is no ore, they will not deploy. Even if you deploy them, they will still pack up. Can't compare to an Ore Refinery as Slave Miner is a hybrid of a mobile unit and a building, whereas the Refinery is permanently a building.

dude, should've sold more walls to capture that construction yard, its stupid but the engi needs to be at a certain place to go in and capture. seeing that the engi couldn't go in means he has to be going in from somewhere ur walls are blocking him
