listening to this album rn after a really heated argument with my mom because of me being stressed out over school,, anticon is how i got thru high school so far :DD
@@mikesmith95 idk there 2 dif entites. The anna version is like Yoni leaving a voicemail to his bro while his bros out of town and this versions like his bro just str8 up never came back to town...shit didnt even exist
This album is such a complete opus! God knows how I stumbled upon it 20 years ago, or how I ended up listening to it 5000 times all the way through. But that kind of playing time was previously only reserved for Op Ivy's classic and Sgt peppers before it. Bravo "all places in this world are prone to natural disasters but being swallowed by the earth in Manila beats a slow death in the Midwest..."
What year did this come out? Like early 2000s? Thanks for sharing, I've heard nearly everything Yoni has done but I don't believe I ever heard this album in full.
i like the reaching quiet concert the studio album sounds like a sort of teenagers demo debut album effort (whether recording conditions lacking a decent budget equipment material gear or part of the artistic direction kind of overly lofi sound) relatively many vocals don’t make it somewhat unlistenable in comparison with live rendition good concert

This album is a delicate flower & should be treated like one !!!!❤️
one of the best albums to ever come out of the anticon era... damn i wish yoni, dave, or adam would get together and do something super lofi again.

Legend. Classic release. Nuts. Brilliant. Probably a very specific time and place for this release to come out.
Legendary album
Broken Crow is the greatest song ever made
The live version on WHY? "Almost Live From Anna's Cabin" is amazing if you're not familiar.
aye the anna's cabin version is the one. unreal

That song hits so close to home
This album changed my whole thinking on what music could be. It's a masterpiece of audio collage and pop music.
just when i think ive heard everything yonis done. this man is a monster
You Choke is incredible
if the "it's a good life" episode from the 1983 Twilight Zone film was an album this would be it... like a maddening LSD cartoon.
Self Portrait Hand Puppet 8:53
Is one of my favorite pieces of art of all time.
No arguments

i feel like nothin beats wolf + nosdam, the only other person that i can think of that can handle the obscurity of nosdam's beats gracefully is geti
What about Doseone
I put this album on when I’m going to bed.
A simply brilliant album. Out of Live Wires and Twisties is one of my favorite all-time songs.
Listening to this after recently watching the 2002 Mush tour. This album is really fucking good. Yoni Wolf never ceases to amaze me. :)
Just got this on vinyl
I had this on CD, haven't listened to it in years. It's still really something special

Fucking 18 years since this came out! This album could vote! Fuck I’m old.
Now it can drink, it seems.
Needs way more attention
the progenitors of vaporwave.
New to me. So awesome@!
The Vowels is just complete obliteration
This one goes out to the one with the bright ideas.
Finding out Michael is also a fan of whiny crooning psychosexual indie folk is a fascinating moment for me
Yes best album ever!!! Takes me back
