  • Free Admission - Visiting the STRANGEST Park in the World. Off to our next exciting hidden gem, the Oslo’s Sculpture Park and lets challenge myself to uncover the hidden stories behind some master pieces in Frognorgparken! Frogner Park is a public park in the central West End borough of Frogner in Oslo, Norway. The park is historically part of Frogner Manor and is Oslo's largest park, open to the public at all times
By now, you can see there is not trip to Oslo without at least vising this sculpture park. After all, this is the most visited attraction in Norway, attracting more than two million visitors per year.
The Rose Garden, better known as the Frogner Rose Garden, with more than 14,000 roses spread across 150 different species and covers over 45 hectares which is 111 acres of land. Not only is there a rose garden, the Japanese Garden, and the English Garden with many miles of walking and bike trails that lead to a beautiful and peaceful time within nature.
Another fascinating location in the park is the bridge. Its 109 meters long (or 328 ft) and 16 meters wide (or 49 ft). This wide bridge connects the main gate to the fountain inside the park. Lined with 58 bronze sculptures that was designed by Gustav during a span of 8 years, from 1925 to 1933. This area of the park was the first to open to the public, in 1940.
Connected to the bridge, we come to The Fountain which is a large bronze sculpture in itself. This fountain is located at the end of the through waay from the main gate and the wheel of life which we will touch on in a minute. This foundation is surrounded by a black and white granite mosaic and 20 statures presenting many different stages of human life spanning from youth to old. This fountain is surrounded by trees that surround the area with flowers and mini fountains to express man’s relationship to nature while leading two sets of stairs up to the tower.
The tower is called the Monolith and is 17 meters tall (or 46 ft). This attraction is the most popular part of the park. This monument is carved granite from a single block of stone that weighs hundreds of tons. This monument is made up of 121 human figures including men and women with children at the top
