Congratulations on your new boat, I bought an Alaskan 20’ last year, love it. Fished mostly for walleyes. I have a 115 4 stroke and find my best cruise speed is about 23-24 mph. Fast enough for my purposes. Good luck
Bought a used Lund at the end of last season for the same reason, I wanted something that was more versatile. Still need to finish rigging it up, but it's ready for bass season at least.
I’m considering ordering a 1875 Alaskan. Do you still like it? Has the quality held up well? I’ve heard it doesn’t handle chop well. Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks
I can get it down to a slower speed for trolling. When I go into the waves it is perfect. Going with the waves I do put it in neutral multiple times while making a troll. That trolling motor at the bow will be used more to troll with in the future if I need to slow it down.
Not sure if you tried this but you can always drop trolling motor in water while using big motor to drop some speed. Adds some resistance and helps bow hold line during troll. You don't even need to power on trolling motor. @@SmallmouthCrush
Lund. Beard. Multi species. Trav you’re shapeshifting into Al Linder. Garage looks sick btw!
always hilarious!

hahaha. I was thinking that the uniformity of color and lack of grays are suspicious.

I floated the South Fork of the Flathead river from Jenny Creek to Hungry Horse in a Grumman 17 foot aluminum canoe in 1970.
The exact boat I’d just love to have.
Great looking boat!!

Missed out on waterproof compartments and better live well by a year haha
Sweet set up! Are you able to go slow enough with that motor to troll or is a kicker in your future?
