I received the James Hill Duets For One music book today! So excited! It's great and I went the audio access with the special code and it includes a player that slow the audio down so I can learn it at a slower pace at first and then hopefully speed it up. I notice that the book says everything is played (picking and strumming) is just with the thumb; and, in your video you are doing it that way too. that is soo cool! 🙂 . thyank you so much for suggesting this book. I am so happy! 🙂 Your video posts are inspirational and make me want to learn the ukulele more. Keep the posts coming! Great 👍 job!

I was a pupil of Kiyoshi Kobayashi’s class ten years ago(but I cannot play perfect and musically as you). He is a good man.I think he thanks you for playing his arrangements beautifully. “Ukulele Sweet Jazz”also contains good songs as “Someone To Watch Over Me”. ところで”Memories Of You” まだ聞いてないような、、、上がってますか？
Maybe the song added after in revised version. In my book which is published in 2012, there are only 27 songs. 😣 Wow I so envy you that you leared from Mr. Kobayashi! I'm sure he is such a good man because of his beautiful and kind arrangement! Thanks for telling me this! ☺☺
I have learned from another TH-cam video upload but I think I'm going to learn your version aswell. You have some nice countermelody some parts of the song. Also the beautiful part from 0:47 to 0:53
Usually I use thumb only but in that part I used 2 fingers together. It makes two notes sound at a time, not like thumb makes time difference. So two fingers make sound more firm and strong I think. Wow you are so sharp to see that difference! 😲😲😄😄
hi! i recently purchased kobayashi's book because of your wonderful channel, and i've been slowly learning some songs, i wanted to ask you why is it that you usually do the fingerpicking with your thumb instead of the four fingers, is it a personal choice or is it the way kobayashi plays it too? i also noticed you do the strumming with your thumb, but is it ok to do it with the index finger instead? thanks for your beautiful videos and hopefully your reply :)

I wish I could also learn that song which were arranged by sir Kiyoshi. The book made by him is pretty expensive and I can't find his work online. Hoping you do tutorial on this or you can also post/share the tabs.

The belt is hand made one. from small leather craft shop. :D
