Hey folks, unfortunately the Ollie theme dashboard and onboarding wizard was not allowed on WordPress.org, so it has been temporarily removed. We'll be adding this feature back shortly via a plugin, stay tuned!
I downloaded this theme ollie and setup wizard is missing. I am setting up a brand new WP site. What do I do next since I am lost without the setup wizard and am a newbie to WP and design? Help!!! When is this fix?
Ollie has the easiest, coolest setup process of any WordPress theme I've ever used, fantastic job!! The Ollie Setup Wizard is brilliant. You are be making WordPress websites truly accessible. Thank you for all you do!
I'm just a curious guy who recently learned PHP and JavaScript from himself, so my opinion is not coming from a pro. I'm using Bricks as a page builder, but for more simple and fast development, I use Gutenberg. I've found Ollie now. So far, so good! I'm using Ollie with Editor Plus and Editorskit, a really nice combination. Congrats! I'll come back to give my final thoughts once I have more experience with Ollie. Cheers from Lisbon, Portugal!
This is awesome. I really want to try it. I love FSE but there are many things going on the dashboard as we need to jump here and there to make a proper configuration. From the explanation, the theme doesn't only save time, but also helps a lot of users to get better steps in preparing the site. Thank you!
Why doesn't the pop up appear after activating Ollive Theme on the new WordPress version that I installed Version 6.4.3? Please help. I like the theme but just started having problems with pop ups not appearing
Hello, nice theme, thank you! Could you help pls to understand why after Instal the theme wizard setup didnt open and I cant find itin my WP panel. I see only usual wp themes settings like all another themes
Hey Chris, Yup! Ollie ships with a sidebar template that you can use on posts and pages. To modify the sidebar contents, you'll need to modify the sidebar template part in the site editor.
Hi Mike, on seeing the Setup Wizard there's two questions that come to my mind: 1. Wouldn't it be nice to create the main navigation in the wizard? Nothing fancy. Just let the user choose a few pages and order them to replace the fallback of all published pages right away. 2. Why isn't this in core? Honestly. It's the same steps every single time... And thanx again for Ollie!
Hey Peter! Navigation is definitely something we'll add in the near future. Core was still going through some changes in navigation when the wizard was coming together, so we held off. But we'll tackle it! I'm getting a lot of comments about something like this for core. Who knows, maybe this will be an inspiration to the core workflow! A few years ago, I was creating patterns before there were patterns, so you never know. 😎
Hey there, the Ollie setup wizard had to be removed from the theme due to the rules of the theme directory. Instead, we decided to move the Ollie setup wizard and theme dashboard into Ollie Pro, which you can find out more about here: olliewp.com/pro
@@davidsonzed Unfortunately not! We wanted it to be available to everyone, but the rules prevented it. However, it's better in the pro version because we can really fine tune it to the experience we want to give users without compromise.
The whole concept around Ollie and the Site Editor is that hopefully you won't need Elementor with this setup. So I'd say try to learn the block editor and site editor and see if that can cover your needs instead of Elementor.
Hi Michelle, unfortunately we had to remove the setup wizard for now, but it will return in the next few days via a plugin. I'll be making a video to show how to use it.
@@OllieWP So even your own download from your website, has the wizard disabled? And do you offer made up ready to go pages, for example for gardening ?

And that is just the magic of the Ollie Theme! Too bad WP doesn't allow a bit of competition of changing the dashboard so easily
Status update please.

For new WordPress users, this feature is a game-changer.
Brilliant, Mike. Loving the progress you're making. The Ollie Setup Wizard is a very nice and welcome addition. Cheers!
Glad you like it!

Love this! Keep working on this. Has great potential.
A suggestion to add to the setup wizard would be time zone, WP typically ships with +0 UTC as default.
Great introduction! This might be the right theme for me when refactoring my site!
Truly good content, thanks!
Smart! Like it soo much

I tried your direct download instead from your website, but that doesn't load the starter wizard either? How do I solve this?
waiting for the same thing, hopefully it will happen soon
Does Ollie support customizable sidebars on posts or pages? I haven't seen an example of that yet.

Hi Mike. Thanks for the video, but when I activate Ollie there's no pop-up to head to the setup wizard and I can't find a link to it anywhere.
Hey there! This feature will be available in Ollie when it ships on WordPress.org very soon! Stay tuned! Hopefully this week.
@@OllieWP OK, understood. Thank you 😊
I was also had this question. It's going to be handy.
Can anyone tell me how to change the site logo for my website that I'm using ollie theme on?
I got this when clicking the popup builder "Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page."

Ollie Theme Dashboard and Setup Wizard are still unavailable. At least locally. Regrettably..
Hey there, you can get the setup wizard and dashboard by installing the Ollie Dash plugin. Visit olliewp.com/download to get the plugin!
