    Do you still tint lens? I recently had a prescription did buy Walmart and they aren’t tinted dark enough.
    I have at least 15-20
    pair of eyeglasses.

    • @freeprescriptionlenses
      @freeprescriptionlenses  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I do but its hard to tint a lens after the fact. Meaning that the lens is tinted and then the scratch coating is applied. The scratch coating acts as a force field around the lens not letting any scratches as well as more tint to be applied. Anytime we start with new lenses we can nail what you're looking for.

      I can do just about anything however I do not do any mirror coatings in house. I would need to have one of the various labs that I order from do that for me. Polarized are not a problem. The only thing I do not do is the actual material of glass because of safety concerns. I prefer using polycarbonate, trivex, plastic and Hi Index.

    • @freeprescriptionlenses

    • @freeprescriptionlenses

      Nowadays you have to know in advance of the lenses being made if any tint will be applied. There was no anti glare added to these lenses that enabled me to tint them myself. You you know if you have any anti glare on your lenses? If so the heat from the tint would damage it inadvertantly.

      It depends on the material and the prescription as to how dark we can get it. If you want really dark go with a mirror coating. A tinted lens absorbs the suns rays, a mirrored lens reflects it back making it 30 to 40% darker for the wearer.
