    Currently in school to become a water resources engineer. I’m happy that some of the work I saw you do, I had knowledge on :)

    This is the first video I’ve watched of yours and I found you hilarious. I’m about to start my first engineering job as a design engineer and so I wanted to get an idea of what it’s like. Instantly subscribed. Thanks for the laughs!

    I got a Bachelor degree in Business (only had 2 ENV science courses, one discrete math course and one statistic course. All graded A). Can you give me a few tips to prepare myself in the next 6 months if I get admitted to the Water Resources Eng Master Program this Fall 2023? 😬 Thank You!

      Since you are coming from business, I will advise you to take courses on stormwater management as well as hydrology and hydraulic courses to understand the basics. In your spare time learn some GIS techniques and hydrology tools. Hydrology tools or applications depends on your country of practice.
      Hope this helps and Good luck.

    Question for you, I want to be a water resource engineer. I have a degree in Geog & Environmental science
    My main focus was water resources. I have GIS exp. I have worked on many rivers, surveys and what not. What are my chances of getting a job in that field? Even if I don't have a engineering degree

    • @aussiesisi
      @aussiesisi  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think you can be an engineer without an engineering degree. However, you can work as an environmental scientist or consultant in the field of water resources. Truth be told the salary disparity BTW an engineer and scientist in the field isn't that much. Good luck

    I am from Vietnam 🇻🇳, I have a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering and I am looking to study for a master's degree abroad. However, I see that the Master's program is mostly about wastewater, but I want to specialize in Water Supply and Sewerage for high-rise buildings, should I study a Master's degree? Can you give me more advice?

    • @aussiesisi

      I suggest you do a masters by research rather than coursework. This will give you the opportunity to gain the knowledge in the niche you desire
