Hello, my my is Peter. I have a traumatic brain injury. When I was 7 years old, I was hit by a car while riding my bicycle and in a coma for 11 days. When I awoke, I needed to relearn how to walk, talk, eat and use all my muscles again. Growing up with a brain injury was tough. I was taught though to never give up, think positive in life and not negative, take one day at a time, every day is a new day and you can do anything you put your mind to.

Truly sad to see all the stories here. But also heartwarming in knowing Im not the only one who is struggling, and to see people succeeding in giving it their all despite their tragedies

Some of that is part of the hospital and doctors carelessness i had a friends one herbaby passed away tthrough lock of oxygen during birth process, the other ohr she was bleeding and the doctor sent her back home and told ger ti elevate her legs .when tgey got home her bleeding got worst and they couldnt save the baby. The other one the doctor did not do emergency c section when tge babys heartbeart was dropping instead used a vaccum , the result baby did not breath for atleast 10 minutes and bow she is suffering birth brain injury, cant eat, walk and talk she only eat through g tube

Hopefully they catch it when the child is young. Imagine having TBI and living for 40 years struggling to get through school, socialization, work and other regular expectations for healthy people… except no one ever knew you had TBI. Here to tell you that it’s way worse to live through the abuse and struggle involved with living a life with that level of suffering than acknowledging the brain injury of a child and making the necessary adjustments, educational and otherwise, to create a tolerable life. I went through hell on earth because numerous doctors, teachers, parents and other health professionals missed the signs of TBI in a child. At least in our modern culture it’s being brought to light, but more needs to be done so people don’t have to be tortured all of their lives.

@@Carmeno05 I’m learning that many of us have had these injuries and unfortunately it’s very overlooked. I’m still scratching my head at 34 years old wondering why my parents didn’t do more or understand the gravity.
I use meditation and DBT therapy today to help cope. But life has not been normal for me by any means. The fact that you’re 17 and questioning things is AWESOME! Life CAN still be what you make it, I know this from experience 100%!

What is the definition of a concussion or getting hit on your head, I was hit by a car when I was 4 old, and fall from stairs in my aunt's outdoor home (from age 4 to 10)
Hit an edgy wall when I was playing a hide and seek game, I was looking for other kids I was playing with and boom
They got me back to the health infirmary
That's in the primary - middle school period
In the last year of middle school, I got up into a fight, I was trying to do some street fighting-judo or karate or whatever, I end up doing that martial art move on my self and I kissed the asphalt floor with my forehead, I heard those noises 🔊
This one was hard and I noticed that something wrong happened, a blackout screen maybe (I don't remember )
Before this last incident, I was good when speaking, even though I'm a shy/introverted person...
Football incidents or in the home from time to time you hit something, you miscalculate the distance to your pillow, place and you hit the wall, sometimes it's strong contact
So yes medically speaking, it makes sense that I have learning difficulties, disabilities, slow learning or whatever you call it
Specific subjects, and fields I find very hard to acquire even if I plan, learn from the best sources, try different strategies, going with all out with the productivity and tools mindset, growth and fixed mindset, take my time and try different methods
      Getting enough sleep/nutrition
Tackling the limiting beliefs and thinking positively
Notimeself when I'm in a good mood, and no stress or depression episodes of those issues, differences are still there and yes they were there
      Putting X2, X3, and X4 the effort
There are problems and issues I face that no one can relate too
I'm convinced that my brain is wired differently
(Sense and think and feel and act differently)
      Feeling /Thinking [input]=> behaviour [output]
      I'm neurodivergent and that's a fact
So don't fucking tell me next time you are not trying hard enough, you are looking for excuses, you are just assuming, you want something to make you feel special
Older golden generations lived normally, there are agendas behind these diseases and classification
Yeah, I fucking now from the high school and before I started searching on this matter
First, I was searching for why I'm dumb, why I'm slow, can I be smart and dumb and then I followed everything in this matter (masking, cognitive science, behavioural psychology, ableism, neurodivergence, sensory overload PTSD and character mental disorders mental social disorders, anxiety & depression (bipolar, borderline disorder, general anxiety, "social anxiety"..)
(Adhd/add attentive and inattentive type, autism, autism spectrum (asperger), autistic traits
I tried Exposure, putting myself out of my comfort zone, throwing myself in danger, and self-sabotage to know the ultimate truth that if I'm having something or I'm not
I noticed also the people around me, my big brother is the one that I think has some traits (adhd)
+ I had problems with my digestive system (lactose and gluten intolerance)
I watched my videos when I was young and I was so energetic, my look seems pretty different, getting frustrated easily, crying when sad or angry or with the slightest change of voice tone

@@abdelhalimyahya9791 I share a similar perspective as you. I like to say that we have evolved to adapt to head injury. People may not like us for it. God knows we probably don’t like ourselves. It’s ok. I’m going to go hiking in the woods. I’ve noticed I do a lot better in nature then most people. Getting back to the basics of human existence is what everyone wants and we have the perfect reason to do so. Good luck battle buddy.

I was hit by a line drive while pitching during a pick-up game of baseball when I was 13. The incident caused me to have a fractured skull near my right temple and a blood clot between my brain and skull. When I got to the hospital the doctor's had to perform immediate surgery to remove the blood clot. I'm in my early 40's now and life is a daily struggle and nobody seems to understand. It is very frustrating. Take care and please make sure your kids wear helmets. Peace

wow,how do you survive daily activities and mental work. My story has been one that i still want to grow from. i have tinnitus and chronic anxiety. my brain and body looks fine but inside its a lot of suicidal ideation especially when people are expecting you to be someone they have known to be a kid who was sharp and apprehensive in the past.

@@mays_beauty_touch2819 Hello Marian. I hate to hear what you are going through. I can relate because I also have tinnitus and anxiety. I think that both the tinnitus and anxiety started after my head injury. People don't understand that some scars can't be seen. Humans can be very cruel. Some people rather bury their heads in the sand than try to understand and help. Anyways, I just try the best I can. The SSI disability is a scam and can't wait around on the government to try and take care of me. As far as the tinnitus and anxiety, I believe they go hand in hand, at least in my case. The tinnitus is always present, but gets unbearable when my anxiety increases. Although I don't like to, I do take medications to help calm my body from anxiety and have found out that a white noise machine does help ease the tinnitus symptoms when you are trying to sleep. Try and stay away from caffeine and drugs because they only make anxiety worse. Take care and I hope you can find relief and peace.

My foster mother put me on a horse when I was five without a helmet. That fucked my life. I understand where you're coming from. Took 13 years 7 vehicles, thousands of miles traveled, dozens of MRI scans, hundreds of blood tests, becoming homeless for five years, getting bullied, told I can't do things to take care of myself because of my condition, and two brain surgeries just to feel a little more normal. And now that I'm more normal people see me as weird because I never had a normal life to begin with. But hey we the pain that we carry with us is our protection.

This is used on children as well. California courts have proved traumatic brain injury outcomes from the use of electroshock/ECT. Electrical trauma is also recognized by the brain injury centers as a mechanism for same. Long term outcomes from electrical trauma can include CTE and ALS. Dr. Bennett Omalu of the NFL injuries also is stating and noting that CTE is anticipated secondary to ECT as well. Patients are now entering into traumatic brain injury programs and brain injury support groups. If you have had ECT please contact the DK law group of CA involved in a current national product liability suit to see if you may qualify to join. The procedure and devices associated with ECT have never had FDA testing for safety or effectiveness. Patients are showing damages on testing. Involves up to 450 volts and greater. See ectjustice and site Life After ECT. Book by Linda Andre called Doctors of Deception.

Hi , Im'ma from (MIT) university freshmen. I've encountered a recent incident that has left me in need some advice . I wanted to share that I recently experienced a concussion 3 days ago, and unfortunately, it has occurred again in the same right side. I'm wondering, would a sudden sideways motorbike collision with a cycle at a speed of 30 km/hr., causing a forceful movement of my torso to lurch and my head in relative (lateral flexion) in the same area of the first concussion ,can it potentially cause some DAI and possibly axotomy to the previously concussed neurons ? very worried since i am difficulty speaking like finding right words and articulating fluently and even slight difficulty understanding words and its been 1 month no recovery? i initially have no symptoms after the incidence like nausea or dizziness , does it cause any permanent deficits or it is just temporary ? and Does this injury lead to the diminution of a handful of neurons?
