A couple thoughts. Make all the Chrome, a Blue Chrome. Think when you heat metal and it starts change colors. That Blue! Dig the name Blue Elephant. In the vane of “Mecha”, obviously go big, but install bulletproof or “unbreakable” parts. Akin to the transmission Chris recently installed on a customers bike. Think that would make for a very interesting and super informative build series. 🤙🏼

That intro was epic. I Have a suspicion about why we react the way we do to motorcycles and riding. I grew up on a 20 acre horse farm. I was riding horses before i could walk and rode one horse in particular for almost 15 years before he passed. When i got into motorcycled.... literally because of @Blockhead and his video's a few years ago.... the feeling, the relationship between a bike and a horse was and is VERY similar. A car is sterile, you are inside it. you are not EXPERIENCEING the road, the weather, the wind, the view together.. you are insulated from the world, simply traveling through it. I have gone exploring on both horseback and on my bike; and the feeling is the same. The bike roars and rumbles and and shakes and works WITH you instead of just doing it for you. I love it. My bike is my Iron Horse. I can hear her breath, feel her heart beat beneath me, feel her react to the her trail. watch her work. Block if you ever have a chance to develop a relationship with a horse, it will feel very familiar. Maybe its because we spent so much time on horse back before the industrial revolution. maybe we have a Genetic Memory or some shit of trusting the animal under you to get you where you are going. but its there, whatever it is. I've felt it. and Ill never not have a bike in my life.
@@RTJsims but can you do wheelies on a horse! :-p j/k im lucky to be living in dubai where ive got ranches with the world's top line breeds of horses. i really want to pickup horse riding but its not cheap here. i like how there are others out there who also feel what i felt on my bike. since it is almost impossible to explain into words to someone who does not ride recreationally. an empty long stretch of the road you can hear the bike wanting to go fast. taking a hairpin turn by just thinking about where you want to end up is like the bike is an appendage and knows what you want it to do. cant imagine how much it would be with a 1200lb horse. cant wait to get into horse riding now!

I feel like the channel has been out of sorts for a bit…since the shop. I was really excited about it but the content hasn’t been as interesting…the bagger giveaway build I was super excited about and the videos haven’t been quite what I was hoping, which I think is mostly because you’re waiting for parts and that’s been a nightmare for a lot of us. Anyways, I feel like this build will get me excited about the channel and the content again and forced induction Anti Goldzilla build sounds amazing! So, I’m excited to see it all coming! Congrats on getting your old bike back

That intro was beautiful. Glad you were able to recover the bike and have the opportunity to bring it back to life. These machines become a piece of us, and to use your words, become a part of our soul. To regain a piece of our soul that was once lost is poetic. I'm definitely looking forward to this build.

Not gonna lie, seeing the Dyna LRS in that condition literally caused me physical pain. Thankfully she will rise like a Phoenix and be better than ever!
Have to say your introduction to this video was one of the best I have ever seen! Why do we love motorcycles, been riding since I got my motorcycle-only license at 14 now I'm 72 and still riding! I say lean mean fast machine, watch out Goldzilla your baby brother is coming for your Throne!

You know, I always want to see you mounting a supercharger bike! Honest review over how it goes, how engine maintenance becomes with extra power, etc. I hope this project will teach us that! Now we need to find the fxdr hahahha
Electric blue with silver leaf accents . Balls to the wall of course. Drag bars, fat rear tire,sustainable rake, Trask turbo,baker grudge box,insane titanium exhaust, 200hp+ twin cam. The reason is no one else has 1 or has built 1. BAM!🧨
As much I want to say go big, to me this bike will always be the blue elephant now. Another option is do what car companies do put Easter Eggs on the bike that represent the blue elephant but still build it big.

This has been probably one of my most favorite videos you have made in a long time!! Im a new rider, i just started right before last winter and that intro was chilling!!! Me personally id rather see the blue elephant. Og dyna has alot memories and even more character now. Id like to see more attention given to it that trying to make it fast! Either way the bike i know will turn out incredible just as always!!! You have an awesome team next to you i cant wait to see where you go with it!!!
I think she needs to have the GSXR USD fork conversion. Make it handle well. Blue frame and tins, black everything else. Make it pissed off. The full Blue Elephant
I like this direction. Don't rake it out, bring the front wheel back just a pinch and sharpen the handling up. Maybe not GSXR, but maybe the Fat Bob Softail USD forks or VRSCR Street Rod front?
That would fit the idea of drag/sportsman bars or clipons nicely!

Amazing!!!!, I'm overjoyed thanks @blockhead the moment I saw the scratched twin cam badge on the intro it all clicked and I knew exactly what it was. I remember sitting watching your dyna videos with my sporty in the garage thinking one day.... Now I'm like a kid on Christmas seeing this announcement with my fxdls in the garage knowing that you and your channel had a huge impact on that decision. Love the channel! Long time subscriber! Glad to see the bike back and looking forward to the project. Just my opinion but I would like to see it go in a different direction. The Iron already went the "Drag Bike" route. Personal preference, I don't like the low bars look. I think if you went that route it would be just more of the same old thing. I would votes to turn it into a modern version of a 70's Northen California (NorCal) chopper! Completely over the top and crazy! Raked out 8" over front forks, crazy Helephant Paint scheme, Crazy power, King and Queen seat, etc... make it one of a kind! tons of Chrome and no black paint. That would be my vote.

Haven't posted before but I'm extremely excited about this bike personally due to the fact I have a 2017 FXDLS and would love to see the direction because not enough people give love to the twin cam 110...keep kickin ass, ride safe brother!!!

I would envision the Blue Elephant as a fat, low, streetlight to streetlight, torque monster. A modern-opposite of the Sucker Punch... a performance, muscle chopper.
Alternative idea... an adaptive trike or chariot style sidecar for a wheelchair user. Then donate it to a disabled veteran through DAV (Disabled American Veterans), PVA (Paralyzed Veterans of America), or the WWP (Wounded Warrior Project).
Man, you are a better man than me. I'd have been livid to see it in that condition. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

I’m for the Blue Elephant 🐘. Having two crazy powerful Low Riders doesn’t make the most sense. Goldzilla is already a beast, have something else that serves a different purpose for you. You also already have another powerful bike, with the OG “F-You” Sportster. Build something that compliments your garage, instead of something that competes. Just my 2 cents 🤷🏾♂️

Your beginning statements were very cool. I feel very attached to my bike, She feels like my best friend. And all 3 of my bikes have different personalities. And I love them and baby them all. I totally understand. Weird but true.

@Blockhead and crew, I genuinely shed a tear when you revealed her in her current state... You could do almost anything to the bike and make us proud by bringing her back life. That said, if you are still taking suggestions... Have you considered making her into a titanic hyper naked. Kinda like a GIANT XR1200R, or a Giant version of the new sportster that just came out. Hike the back up, reduce the rake. massive power. I don't know if it could be done, but I doubt its been done before on a bike this big. If you are making the ArchNemesis of Gold Zilla; going for a hyper naked stance might be the ticket

You've got enough crazy bikes, so I kinda like the idea of making something that's comfortable and accommodating and that's not gonna make you break out in a cold sweat when you just think about taking it out. Fix what needs to be fixed, and if it's broken but you don't need it, leave it off. Kinda bobber-ish but with room for a passenger.
Both ideas sound pretty awesome, but I like the sound of the Blue Elephant. Looking forward to seeing the process as you navigate the decisions ahead of you!

Ever since the "Blue Elephant" was spotted... We all were curious. It wasn't until I read the description on this video, that got me thinking hard. With the hint you gave, my mind was racing. Was it? Could it be? The OG Dyna? I had little doubt that is wasn't it. Upon watching the Premiere with 500+ viewers. I was beyond happy that you got the Dyna back in your hands. I was however shocked and saddened, seeing the condition of the bike. MAN! SHE LOOKS ROUGH! But I'm excited to see what direction you guy's take it.
Now all you need is an FXR and the collection is complete

I loved this bike when you got it. If you're going total custom, and thinking "Blue Elephant", how about a cross between a Breakout style and a V-rod? Super low and stretched with a massive back tire, clip on bars, etc. Could be really sweet!! I think it would also look real good in a Cobalt Blue metallic with Gold accents and even some Gold leaf and wicked pinstriping. But, just an idea. I agree, no club style. I also think the "Mecha" theme would be cool too. Tough decision! Have fun building it, no matter what idea you go with. I can't wait to see it when it's done!

Make it comfortable for long trips. Something you can cruise on all day long and not be hurting at the end of it. I’m so happy for you the into had me almost tearing up thinking about my first Harley (second bike I owned). If I could find it I would buy it back in any condition. My two cents' worth: you guys are already up to your eyeballs in performance builds. We KNOW Chris can kick out performance bikes all day long. Go a different route. Make the Blue Elephant a custom SHOW bike! Not a chopper... that's done to death. (Yeah, I know you want to do one, but not yet!) Go full on into a pure aesthetic build, and put up a bike show beauty queen to rep the Blockhead Garage and put you guys on the motorcycle MAP!

I have loved electric blue all my life, which started way before yours. So I'm picturing electric blue chrome with a lot of gold in it, everywhere. Can you get that on the edges of the fins. That would be one unique engine. By electric blue I image the antique blue that has some gold all through it like you see on some rifles. Go gold on the rims and the headlight grill, etc. Just brainstorming. What do you think of it?

We grew up on bicycles as kids with all our friends. Our parents knew where all the kids were by all the bicycles out front of neighbors house. We modified our bicycles. We worked on our bicycles. That tradition or heritage continued into motorcycles as teens/adults.

Crazy idea, a performance chopper. Like bigger rake, springer front end, but a seat that actually holds you in with an engine that is supercharged. Just really go off the deep end with it.
If you do the mechgoldzilla, you could possibly name it doppelganger.

Loved this bike. This was the bike you were riding when I first started watching. I think you shouldn't go too nuts with the 'blue' thing.. maybe some small airbrushing on the tank or fender, but keep her black. Call her blue elephant but it'd be cool have that 'code' name with a story behind it for years to come. Look forward to seeing more on her.
I say go blue elephant. I Luke the high power build of goldzilla, but it's not always about balls to the wall. Go with the blue theme and just make it as reliable as possible. That's something I would like to see. Blueprinted motor build, bombproof low end and transmission. That's my 2 cents.
I like the Blue Elephant theme. You mentioned twice in the video about a different swingarm. Definitely go the fat tire route. The elephant needs a good contact patch. I can see the frame and swingarm powdercoated blue. Elephant grey accents with chrome accesories. And a big cube motor cammed more for the mid range.
My suggestion is three words you said. Low, Lean and Mean! I would keep it streetable but it would haul ass.

First of all : that intro... Wow. A piece of art. Great work.
As for the bike - I'm not a fan of overpowered bikes. I leave that to crotch rockets / sports bikes. I enjoy watching you guys work your magic and bring crazy numbers of them but there's a point where it doesn't seem safe anymore.
Anyhow I like the direction you started taking two years ago with the clip on bars and a lower stance maybe a bit bobber or sort of drag style (witch sort of goes against what I said above). You could also keep all those rusty parts and go sort of ratrod/mad Max style to go towards the mecha goldzilla route. I also think the whole blue elephant background story is kinda cool so it would be cool to a least show a tribute to that name somewhere.
Do a Vicla build on it. 💯 I’m sure the Mexican community would love a low rider build. Big apes with the spoked rims. Low rider fenders. Oh yeah. Even put a get back whip on it
