Android Framework - History of Android versions

Many of us will be using Android phones . Most of us will be in M or N version by now and some of us in O . Android phones have become part and parcel of our lives .
Android is now a historically big Operating System . Android development started in the year 2008 and its almost been 10 years for now and Google has come up with 15 different versions of android . But , do we know the feature Enhancements done for each version ?Need not worry if the answer is No .

Thanks.. Your posts have been really helpful.. Especially the Multimedia framework. If you have worked on Android framework, can you please create a series on how to compile and run Android from source? I don't think anyone on youtube have touched that part of Android. I'm definitely sure it can be a hit.
