1:43 -ta da 4:46 -oh oh for the actual exercises starting. Loved the whole video and your explanation, but im just leaving this note for myself when I come to the video just to practice
I listen to your great vocal lessons every day when I wake up. You inspire me to do better. I lovesinging and since I am one of the contestant for AGT. I was so happy that most of your video have helped me a lot with my voice. Love to sing and My father was a a choir director and a conductor. I never did take singing seriously at an early age but now I feel like singing all the time. Now Im a contestant for AGT. i am glad I found you and god bless you and your training ideas I super happy I found you. thank you and thank you again for all that you do. Lwould like to improve some runs and rifs. been watching this morning on your rifs and runs exercise. Thank you again Millie.
You are the best maverick You Tube coach that elucidated riffs and runs simplisticly. I actually can perform these simplistic vocal techniques. Thanks so much.
Liz Love yay !!! That’s so great ! Congrats !!! Make sure you rest your voice when you’re sick ! Hope you get better ! Drink chamomile tea with fresh ginger ! Always cures me !
Funny thing for me is this....I started singing when I was a HS student and I was totally against the whole idea itself. A couple years after I graduated, I started training my voice how to riff and it wasn't easy. I gradually learned how to do it throughout my 20s. I'm now in my mid 30s and I'm still trying to perfect them. I live in a small city and no other singers do it.
Your lessons are good but the reason I'm commenting is to tell you that " Your beauty is BREATHTAKING...". Music is beautiful but you are adding more beauty to it.
Thank you for this exercise 😊 love your vibe 💫 I tend to sing “wow” of “woh” instead of “oh”. Will it still have the same effect or should I really concentrate to sing oh instead?
If I’m not mistaken, remember you from the early 2000s doing the whoa OO WHOA OO WHOA warm up your greeting then was” hello singers!” And then you go onto your lesson are you that same singer I remember apologize your lessons
When I’m doing the oh oh oh and I get to the high parts should my voice be lifting or should it be staying the same tone but higher if you know what I’m saying? I find what I’m trying to get to the higher notes doing that exercise. My voice automatically wants to lift to head level if that makes sense.
Hi Thanks for the video. It would be helpful if you said what scale, pitches, or intervals you are playing. Are you simply playing the first five pitches of the major scale, that is: root, major 2nd, major 3, perfect 4th, and perfect 5th, which is the do-re-mi-fa-so? Starting where? Thanks.
Christian Lee Trager hi ! Thanks for your inquiry . I go through all 24 scales starting usually on A. So if A ( major ) is the root , im doing: A-B-C#C#-D-EE-D-C#C#-B-AA . So yes playing the first five notes of the scale. Hopefully that works !
I have the feeling that all people who are singing well I mean pro's... are living in the USA ... I decided,... I have to emigrate to the USA :) greetings from Germany, Bobby ... ps.: subed
Is it important to stay in chest voice when reaching the higher notes? I go into my head voice but I’m not sure if that’s as effective at achieving a higher register.
Serena Prendergast the wonderful thing about our vocal chords and our registers is you can actually use both, chest and head voice. It depends on the sound you wanna go for. If you want to belt more then you use your mix voice ( combination of chest and head )

Is it important to stay in chest voice when reaching the higher notes?
I go into my head voice but I’m not sure if that’s as effective at achieving a higher register.

Its so wierd. When i sing in mobile mic it sounds so mutch better then it does in my headset mic. Can someone please explaine this for me?
coolbeans maybe your headset mic doesn’t work properly ? Or as good ?
That happens to me with some headset mics
you have a nice vioce
Sheba Bakhtiar thanks so much 🙏🏻
What are the notes to the piano exercise
Dana Richards hi ! I go up and down , but if you’re in C position it’s : C-D-EE-F-GG-F-EE-D-CC. Hope that helps !
The first riff starts on 2. From a major scale 2-1-2-3-4-3-2. Singing over a chord it would be a minor riff if you make the 2 the root note. Right?
