I'm prepping for the CPTS, I'm coincidentally doing pretty much as you were saying so far. I do academy in the morning and machines all night mixing learning with application.
Could you make a video of how you toke your notes and structure? Or do you have your notes, short notes/mythology and checklist available? How did you come up with your own mythology and checklists structure? Good video. Thanks! More details of leaning and the stuff i already have said would have been nice.
Thanks for the epic overview. Any tips for growing more confidence and not stressing the hell out? I've just invested in the CBBH and was super nervous that I'd be wasting my time and money trying to get this certification.
Thanks for watching! Feeling nervous or overwhelmed is normal, but remember that investing in yourself is never a waste. There's a metaphor often used about a camel lost in the dunes. It doesn’t stress about the next water hole, it just focuses on taking the next step. Focus on small wins and trust the process. The CBBH material is solid and will help build your skills for bug bounty or pen testing. You’ve got this, one step at a time! 👍
Hi, thanks for the interesting videos! I'm curious to know if you passed the exam the first time? How much time each day do you spend on studying and how many days a week? I study 2-3 hours a day 5-6 days a week and sometimes I find it hard and get frustrated sometimes
Thanks for watching! 😄 I passed on my first attempt and it took me about 4 days to complete all 10 flags and submit the report. I studied 1-4 hours a day, 5-6 days a week, so I completely understand the frustration. My trick was repetition on the harder material while trying to break it down into my own methodology... eventually, the concepts start to click. Keep pushing through! One key insight I learned is that most vulnerabilities come down to poor input sanitization or validation. Stay consistent and you’ll get there! 👍
@@chrisalupului Thank you for such a detailed response! Do you think I need additional materials to pass the CBBH or is the one provided by the academy sufficient? I have an idea to study the materials provided by PortSwigger (developer of BurpSuite) where they are openly available and provide more in-depth techniques of SQLi exploitation, XSS.... or is it better to leave it for later and fully concentrate on what is provided in HTB Academy?
@@Енотик-г9ж I touched on this in the video, and honestly, I think anything outside of HTB Academy CBBH path for the CBBH exam might not be the best use of your time. This includes resources like PortSwigger, TryHackMe, PentesterLab, VulnHub, PicoCTF, SlayerLabs, OffSec Labs, Juice Shop, Root Me, HackThisSite, and OverTheWire. Don't get me wrong... these platforms are awesome for building your skills later on! But for passing the exam, HTB Academy covers everything you need. Focus on that first, and once you’ve got the cert, dive into those other platforms to expand your skills! Hope that helps👍
I had the same question! I picked CBBH first because it’s all about web stuff, which I’m better at. Now I’m working on CPTS. If you like web hacking, CBBH is a great place to start! 👍
CPTS can be tough, but take it step by step! 💪 After finishing all the CBBH modules, I'm about 40% through the CPTS content. If you find CPTS overwhelming, CBBH can be a great starting point to build your web security skills and boost your confidence before diving into more complex topics 👍
Haha, yeah, definitely feeling it! I switched my workout to 5AM to get in 1-2 hours, 6 days a week. It’s a tough adjustment, but like anything new, it just takes time and perseverance! 💪 Appreciate you noticing! 👍
@@chrisalupuluithat is so good to hear! I was not meant to be rude, I was just a bit worried! Exactly, you can be proud of your self-discipline, def inspiring! 😄 I really like how you just go for it, even all the competition and stress in cyber doesn’t seem to affect or ‘imposter syndrome’ you
@suitsued9964 Haha, no worries at all! 😄 I really appreciate you looking out. Balancing everything is tough, but discipline really helps. Imposter syndrome hits me sometimes, but I try to focus on the progress I’m making instead of worrying too much about it! 👍
Thank you for going in-depth, really appeached it
Glad you found it helpful! Thanks for watching! 😊

Awesome to hear that you're putting the grind in! 😎
Hello. Very good. Your videos inspiring me. I start Bug bounty course on HTB academy 3 weeks ago. I'm very tired but I don't give up.
Appreciate ya! 😊 It’s normal to feel tired, but don’t give up! You’re learning and getting better each day. Keep crushing it, you’ve got this! 💪
