- This time, Seattle won it at the goal line. It certainly won't make up for the Super Bowl loss two seasons back, but the Seahawks' goal-line stand lifted them to a 31-24 victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday night.

Good game Patriots. I've been waiting almost two years for this super bowl 49 rematch. Tonight's game was one of the best games that I've ever witnessed in my lifetime. Since Brady came into the league, I NEVER seen him get shut down at the goal line like that with the game on the line. That Seattle Defense is just flat out SPECTACULAR. What they did that night I'm not sure even if the 85 Bears or the 2000 Ravens Defensive Units would of made that stop. No doubt one of the best Defenses I have ever seen take the field in the last 19 years that I have been watching football.
Number one in points allowed for four years in a row. Truly amazing. I really want to see them make it five. They're number two behind only Minnesota at the moment if I'm not mistaken.
They were 2 feet away from giving up 31 points. I agree that they are great but this game is not a good example.
Michael Murphy They definitely aren't what they used to be. They were absolutely insane in 2013 and 2014, but since 2015 they're giving up way more yards. However they've still been number one in points allowed even with all the yards, and if they finish number one in that stat again this year, it will be the fifth year in a row that they've done so, a feat that is completely unprecedented in the Super Bowl era, and has only been matched once in NFL history by the 1950's Cleveland Browns as far as I know. It is something we may never see accomplished ever again in a league that is evermore in favor of offense.

It also doesn't hurt that they play the Niners and Rams offenses 4x each season.
Michael Murphy Well hey, the 49ers were actually good until just last year. The Cardinals are still fairly decent. They were pretty damn good last year and the year before. The Rams are bad yes, but every team every year will usually get to play at least a couple of bad offenses. You can't tell me the Seahawks are the only ones who have had that luxury. Leading the league for four years in a row in points allowed is already a historic feat that not even the Steelers of the 70s ever achieved. Five years, and the Seahawks will be all alone alongside the 1950's Browns. 2013 and 2014 were their best years, and they will probably never be that good again, but they're still good enough to keep opponents under 25 points the majority of the time. Despite coming close, they have yet to give up 30 to an opponent this year. They are still an elite unit.

Patriots rush was fairly poor most of the night, 28 rushes for only 81 yards (that's 2.9 yards per carry). Seattle was 27 for 96 (3.6). The difference was Russell Wilson out Bradying Tom Brady: 25 of 37 for 348 yards and 3 tds vs 23 of 32 for 316, 0 tds, 1 int.

No matter the outcome of this game and the conference standings, I have to say these teams followed up a classic Super Bowl between the two, and another classic game in regular season. They both showed heart, and I believe it was very fun and heart attack material thanks again NFL for the videos.
