@@karlgreene2177 if you don’t like the show, nobody forces you to watch it or even write such comments under these videos. This is a video for Sanctuary funs, not a place for insulting it. Show some respect towards us and the actors. The show got cancelled, because all studios only want to make much money and the audience of sci-fi/fantasy (in general) prefer some action-blockbuster-CGI-superhero-great-series, so this particular one didn’t get either enough money for production or enough audience/acclaim for season 5 and more. Sanctuary has its weak points, but it is a good story with deep characters, written well and shown well. Also, most main actors such as Amanda Tapping or Jonathon Young are really good at their job and look very natural in their roles. So, there is definitely no need to call this show “rubbish”.
I seriously wish that they hadn't canceled the show, a lot of people loved it and it was really put together very well. I would have loved to see a season 5 where they start they're new journey in the new Sanctuary and see what the inside of the sanctuary looked like and not just the outside of it. But overall I will really miss this show a lot.
I feel sad to see the old sanctuary gone, it has so many memories and I love the architecture and design. Love the vamp action of Nikola, and the kiss.... ** melting **
I have just competed watching Sanctuary on Dec. 3, 2013. This was an AMAZING show. I had hope the show would continue with season 5 and beyond. Since it did end, I suppose that was as good of an ending and anything else. Helen Magnus ROCKS! Nikola Tesla is one of the coolest guys ever!
I'm glad they wrapped up the storyline nicely. If that is the last episode, it is a fitting conclusion for the show. If we get another season(s) there is an almost clean slate to build stories from.
Hi. I found this show on late night tv and fell in love with the episode 'The Five'. I know I'm late to the party but this show is an inspiration for me. I wish that they would bring it back because it's hard to find such a heartfelt show that has the action to keep you interested. And I now have a new role model in Helen Magnus and Amanda Tapping. Both the character and the actress are amazing in their own right and I strive to be more like them.
Although I'm sad Sanctuary was cancelled, you can't knock the end of this episode. It was tied up neatly and left for everyone's imaginations to run wild with. Brilliant exit for this show.
NOO!!! I loved the Old City Sanctuary. Then it just goes BOOM!!! Helen is so cheeky. I love the ending. Amanda Tapping plays her part so well, absoulutely awesome. Didn't anyone else see Terence Wexford in the background behind Will when the Sanctuary blew up?
I cried more at the opening music for this segment than I did at the actual Sanctuary explosion. I would dearly like them to continue this show, but I also feel that if they left it alone as it is I'd still be content. It just leaves more open to the imagination. This show is brilliant, and I'm thankful for what was made. I love you, Tapping, Kindler and Wood. You're all amazing. Brilliant work.
The most odd thing just happened to me. As the sanctuary burnt down I started crying and at the same moment it started raining here... I absolutely loved this season and the ending was amazing =) Just hope we can all have more episodes in the future, it would be a shame to loose such a beautiful thing.

I did purchase Season 3 DVDs but after finishing that set was DIEING to see how things progressed in Season 4. I'll be hoping desperately for a Season 5 also. Unfortunately if it does it looks like Biggie may not be apart of it. Seems like the gang is getting whittled away to nothingness.

OMG, I just finished it and I have goosebumps all over me. what a beautiful ending!!! The storywriters are such geniuses. and thanks thanks thanks LivHanna for posting the videos. The whole season was so great, with an epic ending. I am looking forward to next season. and happy new year to you too.
They have only kissed twice in the entire show. Once in 1x07 when Tesla greeted her and insisted she give him a kiss because it had been 60 years since they last saw each other. She intended to give him a peck on the cheek but he turned his head to instead lock lips with her. The second time was here, in 4x13 where she kissed him as a supposed "goodbye" kiss in case she didn't make it.
Loved this show watched the whole thing in three days (as i have been wanting to watch it for a while), wish they had continued in comic book format like Buffy!!
It couldn't, unfortunately. The company that owns the rights to the story won't produce anything else Sanctuary related. It's sad cause a comic book would fit the show so much.
OMGOSH!!! FINALLY i was wondering when they would have an epic kiss like that. The entire time the mansion was blowing up i was like....NOOOOOOOOOO BE ALIVE!!!! Can't wait for more.

I will have to say, the ending had a "and they live happily ever after" kind of feel to it. No big giant cliffhanger, just "Helen's got it all sorted, don't worry." So if they don't get picked up for Season 5 I'm sad but okay with it. At least it isn't some kind of "everyone is trapped in a building with a bomb about to go off....To Be Continued" ending like all the other seasons. But if they do get picked up, at least they have a new direction to start from. Nice work, Kindler.
This is the ONLY show I watch, so I really hope there's a season 5! However, I will miss both Biggie & the old Sanctuary castle (BIG mistake to get rid of these Sanctuary staples). Makes me wonder if the show really does end here - wouldn't be too bad an ending though, despite the rushed pace towards the end. Overall an excellent season, with my favorite all-time episode (BY FAR!) being ep1 from this season, just amazing! Thank you so much LivHanna!
the Teslen kiss was OMFG there needs to more of those... when the sanctuary burned i yelped and parents and brother looked at like WTF! and when i saw what i assume to be the new sanctuary i was like holy crap that is cool...

I know I always get emotional for finales... but there was so much right about this episode! Especial love for Magnus and Tesla, and also for the Tesla/Henry dynamic. That's developed so well. And I liked how they inserted the suit a few epsiodes ago like it was a joke, and suddenly it becomes uber important. And I even really enjoyed Will for the first time in ages.

I only started watching sanctuary last week, and now it's over! Man, am I gonna get serious withdrawal symptoms... Hope there will be a new season coming out
I am actually satisfied if this is the end. I love this series and really hope for a season 5, but in terms of endings for shows, this one would sit fine with me.
When the next season comes out it really will be an "all new sanctuary". >.< Though, despite the more updated/futuristic look to the sanctuary I hope that the interior will still be older looking with all the wood, rugs and chandeliers.
OH! And that kiss between Helen and Nikola really wasn't surprising at all. I wanted to give Nikola a giant hug when he gave Helen that look when he left her :(

@ladypola21 No one died. At all. Where are you people getting this? Will thought she died, but she didn't. All he saw was the Sanctuary being blown up and assumed she was still inside (which she was) and that she died. She was saved by Henry's suit. She's still her 274 year old self after reliving 113 years. It's not confusing.
As for continuation, they seem to have written an episode that could serve as the final ever episode, but also allow new seasons, possibly with a different feel or cast changes. There's an opportunity for them to do almost anything with the next season, so I imagine they'll take advantage of that, if the show is renewed. Certainly, I do think that this is the end of one 'part' of the Sanctuary story.

@fgb1 Same here, how they went back to square one at the end of ep 1x02. I'm kinda sad about the Old City Sanctuary, looking back, knowing it's just GONE, completely! It feels weird never being able to return. :/ But, we must move on, like that longing look of Helen looking at her office one last time, saying goodbye. It's gonna be awkward trying to adjust to a new home because we're never going to see it again in S5. :/ I really hope for a S5 though, it ended at a fresh start, anew. :)

The soundtrack in this ep is gorgeous. I miss this show... I really liked the blossoming friendship between Henry and Tesla. And the TESLEN! My god.
