Awesome video, just what I was looking for to ease my anxiety about having to check my second camera for a flight from Puerto Natales to Antarctica.

always put them on a carry on if you have to fly

Came back from a trip where I put some lens in the carry on, but some of the connection prohibited me to travel with my carry on because I exceeded 8kg. which is pretty low imo. My Carryon luggage is a light luggage so I presume with a hardcase it would significantly rise the weight

My Manfrotto 290 Dual tripod won't fit in a carry-on bag. So I guess that means I have to put it in a checked luggage. I do have a smaller carbon fiber tripod but I don't trust it to support the weight of my Canon 90D with a 150-600mm telephoto lens attached to the camera.

Can you take a top handle for your camera in your backpack or is it seen as a weapon?

for checked luggage as long as you dont have anything bad in there like batteries, the obvious weapons and stuff

If you zip tie your bags and they want to search your bags won't they just cut them off?... I use TSA approved locks
