The apartheid government did install electricity in deep rural areas (given you house didnt have grass roofing), they installed taps that are even still active today, they did build schools that are still active today, towns, etc, if these things are what the ANC government needs to be celebrated for then apartheid needs to be applauded too. If your budget allocation in a financial year was to build 10 000 and you build 4000 or none, this is not an achievement and you cannot try to qualify it by saying there were no houses before. Ineffectiveness that causes a loss of 6000 houses due to corruption and incompetence should be considered a failure irrespective of the little that was done.

The apartheid government did install electricity in deep rural areas (given you house didnt have grass roofing), they installed taps that are even still active today, they did build schools that are still active today, towns, etc, if these things are what the ANC government needs to be celebrated for then apartheid needs to be applauded too. Apartheid was a crime and ANC is led by thieves, electricity doesn't negate any of that.

I hear you. The ANC being a party for the people, majority who are black and were previously kept outside civility under the apartheid regime, their main task was to provide for the masses. The other side of the argument is saying, yes they have provided, but what they have provided is poor quality and it's time for an alternative to step into place and lead us forward from here. A very apt discussion this was in showing the two halves of South Africa right now. My predictions, it will end up in a coalition government - which I think is a good thing because then we join the two halves together and work together to make everyone happy 🎆

If your budget allocation in a financial year was to build 10 000 and you build 4000 or none, this is not an achievement and you cannot try to qualify it by saying there were no houses before. Ineffectiveness that causes a loss of 6000 houses due to corruption and incompetence should be considered a failure irrespective of the little that was done.
