I agree with you about 10 lb braid. I refuse to go below 30 lb just bc of how much of a pain anything lighter and thinner is to work with.
i have 30 on my heavy setups, heavy bait, casts just the same as 10# with light stuff

A very wise man once said, "when you come to a fork in the road, TAKE IT'. With this kayak, that fork in the road will be whether to power it or to paddle it. Young Jedi, which path will you choose? As you are undoubtable aware it takes a lot more energy to push a BIG car down the road vs. a small car. Power, mass, time and velocity are simply related via the kinetic energy, which increases linearly with time for constant power. Sorry for the science lesson, but as a science teacher I remind you that it will be easier and more comforable to paddle a light weigth craft (lower mass) than a heavily weighted craft (higher mass) designed and fully equipped for motor power. Choose!~

@@AliexFolgueira I have 10lb braid on one rod and 20lb on another but I’m switching that to 10lb braid. Yes it is harder to deal with but I can cast so far.
