Go Air Force and the Bose A20s are the best headset ever. My Telex 850 broke halfway across the country on a flight from NY to San Diego. I thought it was horrible but I ended up buying the A20 at a pilot shop. Best thing ever. I wish my Telex 850s has broken sooner.

I'm in PHX too! What's with the winds this month man

@@jackbuckleyauto It's always windy in the spring time - I think that is nature's way of spreading the flower/seeds that are in bloom right now. But it is not so good for those of use with allergies. And then of course spring gives way to the summer heat and it will be turbulent starting at about 10am, so if you want smooth air, you get in the air by 6 am...welcome to flying in the valley!

I will certainly try these start up procedures in X-Plane 11 since I'm also flying the default Cessna 172 G1000. ;) Thanks!

I'm looking these up due to flying this plane in microsoft flight simulator 2020, crazy how real life videos pretty much can be followed in the simulators.

Hi. I am about the start my first flight training. Nowadays I am studying SOP and POH docs. I needed to visualize the information I get so this video is cool for me. Can you also make a video which explains the buttons on the cockpit? Also, walkaround check video could help for beginners like me. Thanks

At 9:02 he says since start up he’s burned 2 gallons. The engine was running, at idle, for only 4 minutes. The 172 burns approximately 8 gallons per hour at 75% cruise power. If you do the math, in four minutes that’s 0.13 gallons burned. I’d round it up and call it 1 gallon which will take care of taxi fuel burn as well.

would the G1000 simulator be of any use before we start flying?

Well in my experience the sim helped me get aquatinted with G1000 system! And it definitely helped me save some money Vivek :P

At 1:56 he says we have a standby battery because the G1000 needs a lot of energy. That’s not exactly why the G1000 has a standby battery. Who wants to jump in and tell us the real reason the G1000 has a standby battery?
