Funny - most koalas, even in zoos, aren't this active. I usually see them clinging to a tree and sometimes they glance up at the humans, then duck their heads and look away shyly. I think I went to this zoo at some point, but it was a long time ago. I did once visit a zoo (or reserve) where they allowed you to take pictures holding a koala, but that was in 2002. There's still a picture of me trying to smile but looking worried as a koala clings onto me with its claws. It didn't hurt, but it did feel very weird.

I love animals & hate zoos !! I wish & hope that someday all the zoos will be operating for rehabilitation & reproducing / helping endangered species purposes only !! Just like many pet shops have stopped selling cats & dogs the least !!
But ,here you displayed the lovely mother's love ,so I enjoyed watching this ! I thought she started tapping her thigh like drumming practice 1st there !! LOLLOLLOL. Til I realized she was scratching herself !! Lol. Maybe because I play drums a little bit . Lol. I need to start practicing more again ! It's hard as it went right into covid lockdowns right after I started ! And I don't have my own drum kit ! But ,I played it right away on the 1st day !! With cymbals ! Added the kick drum on the 2nd day & hi hat on the 3rd day all together ! I never knew !! That drums suit me the best !!! I REALLY love drumming !!!
I wanted to visit Australia ,my late father wanted to travel there with me ,but unfortunately he passed two years later . Australia is in my bucket list still ! I am jealous of you !! 💜🥁🐉🎤💞

An amazing Country... she has now moved to America a place we have visited many times before..... and infact this years we will visit the last 5 states... meaning we have been to all 50 States. It's taken over 20 years but has been an incredible experience.

If you are lucky and see a koala in the wild with an ear tag , It tells you 2 things ~ the koala has been in care (hospital) , checked concerning population OR depends which ear the tag is in it will tell you if it's a boy or a girl. (Right ear means it's a girl. Left ear it's a boy). ( I am a wildlife rescuer)
