    You know, I actually had less faith in KSI after his match against Tommy. His whole defense was clinching. He nullified Tommy’s jabs with clinching. The issue was that Tommy was game to just clinch. If he fights a boxer who works from the outside and avoids the clinch he’s gonna get KO’d if he doesn’t make some changes. If he tries to initiate the clinch and his opponents is far enough back and quick enough to back up and uppercut, it’s lights out.

      Bkb attracts fighters that can’t make it in boxing or mma and that is why the skill and talent level is so low, because the guys who can’t make it go there.

    People will say that I'm hating, but Jake has seriously plateaued since the Nate Diaz fight. Yeah, his jab is more authoritative, but he still looks VERY uncoordinated when throwing combinations, constantly drops his hands, and there are many times in his fights where he's just walking backwards with no intelligent footwork. Defense is still something that Jake hasn't developed at all and if he rematches anyone near the level of Tommy Fury then he loses easily. If he wants to be a crusierweight world champion, he has to change this prize-fighting trajectory.

    • @truegamer1239
      @truegamer1239 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      No he hasn’t. If you watched the fight his Speed and reaction time was better. His power has gotten more deadly since he dropped 3 times. Also how would Tommy win easily? He struggled and looked horrid against KSI who has even less skill. Jake Paul in the first fight had to do a big weight cut and fought Tommy at 183 which is the lowest he has ever weighed. If they fought at 200 it would be much closer than the first considering that fact that Tommy has never fought at that weight and may walk around that weight outside the ring, but in the ring it’s different.

      @@truegamer1239 You have no idea what you're talking about lmao. "His power has gotten more deadly" yeah, obviously you would look more powerful if you were fighting guys who are 20 pounds lighter than you. Jake only looks good against guys who are stiff, flat-footed, and guys who can't jab to save their life. He's still terrible in the middle range and he hasn't worked on any aspect of his game that would allow him to beat a decent combination puncher with a good jab and fast feet. And big weight cut my ass, Jake Paul consistently fought at 185lbs for nearly all of his fights before Andre August. Tommy is a natural 200lbs guy. Jake is not. He blew himself up so he could gain weight for the Mike Tyson fight. Tommy would use Jake as target practice like he did in their first fight if they fought at 200lbs.

You say he is bad at throwing combinations, but the second knockdown was a 1 2 combo that put him down. Also Tommy outside of the ring may be at 200 but in the ring he fights close to light heavyweight. Now In the Ksi fight he might have been 200, but if that’s the case he is terrible at that weight. He barely throw any jabs, looked gassed, and also struggled against a less skilled, jumping jack journeyman level boxer in KSI. Also Jake didn’t fight all his fights at 185 before Andre? He fought only two fights. And Jake was about 200 pounds when he did that cut.

    Ya but Brian, Perry was just a cherry picked lowish risk replacement. The main thing for Jake was not to diminish both his Mike Tyson fight and his own stock by risking him against what was effectively a late-ish stand-in replacement he'd not trained to fight so that was never gonna be the case.
    The real question here is, considering how Jake and his team were never going to risk Jake taking an actually dangerous or risky fighter as a replacement, why so many were taken in by this fight as being a real danger for Jake. I didn't even watch the fight live tbh and just assumed it was going to be a stoppage for Jake which it was.
    I guess if a person got engaged in this fight and listened to the press conferences and "experts" talking up whatever his name was then ya, a person can be conditioned into believing this might be a competitive or risky fight but it never was going to be with the bigger picture for Jake.

Even in these fights there’s been multiple moments he’s looked vulnerable. KSI, who I love to root for in boxing, is not as good of an athlete as Jake. KSI is naturally more fierce and arguably has stronger punches, perhaps more effective strategies at times too, but he is not as coordinated or connected to his physical abilities as Jake is. I think they are almost neck and neck in terms of who would win, but Jake knows his limitations, his talents, and has better timing, whereas KSI is basically just going to attempt to win in whatever way he can, and that's my thinking on it all

    Spot on TG! Without losing to Tommy Fury, Jake Paul properly would have continued to go up in levels and actually test himself but every since losing to him, they will never take a risky fight now unless the reward is truly worth it (by either making soo much money that a loss doesnt matter or by fighting a legit real world class guy i.e. canelo and losing and saying well he did well to last 4 rounds with a world class operator) That Tommy fight ironically might have ruined his career progression and lost the interest of the public in his fights! Now his model is based on is 'perceived' risk but really deep down they know that the advantage is in their hands. So they pick recognised names who are past it i.e. anderson silva, woodley etc or they pick big names that just arnt big in the actual sport of boxing i.e. nate diaz, a mike perry. Either way they continue with his perceived look of Jake the disney kid is fighting a hall of famer so who knows what will happen! tune into PPV to find out! When we all know that they are well past it or they just arnt very good at boxing! If masvidal had beaten diaz i reckon 100% that would have been jakes next fight!! He wont take anything risky that isnt worth the reward!

    Jake Paul has no intention of fighting a fair fight. He "needs" an unfair advantage.. any advantage. Because he's scared of losing.. and one two or three big losses would mean the money dries up. So you see, there absolutely "has to be" an unfair advantage for Jake Paul. That usually means absolutely under his weight at the bare minimum or it's an immediate no go. Absolutely no "real boxers".. at least not at his weight class. Maybe far below it and he might consider it. Absolutely against an aging fighter who moves a bit slower and hits with less power allowing Jake Paul to land shots at the very least. etc.
