By far the most informative channel that has helped me understand how to evaluate coins. It took me awhile to find your channel after wading through a bunch of malarkey channels that fail to educate. I’ve shared your channel with family & friends that are interested in coin collecting. Thank you Daniel for all of your help.
Hello, I'm a fan of your posts, and I understand that you are a Very informed collector, as well as a shop owner, and thank you for taking you're time to post i myself have a difficult time seeing the pictorials and the information as quickly as a seasoned collector, I'm a newbie and thanks you for the information and post's on you're platform .
This is one of your best video's to date. I haven't been on here for a little while but I knew about most of these coins but underestimated the values. I've always enjoyed your video's very educational but this one relates to the audience more.
Thanks Daniel ! Oh yea, you bet you can find these in change. Found a 1999 WAM in change - NGC graded it AU58 BN. Found a 1972 DDO FS109 (might have gotten out of a roll) PCGS graded it MS66 RD, none higher. PCGS verification site says $725.00 (retail I'm sure) but I'm skeptical on that. I keep lookin. Have some 1966 I need to look through when I get a chance. Every time I get change, I put it off to the side to look through.
I have. I know a lot of people who find multiple die varieties and they narrow their searches and are picky about what they search. They also listen to people like me.
And it's easy to get pennies, too. You can go to your local bank and get a box for $25. Who knows what you might find to get somebody to start collecting while you're looking for these varieties? Thanks for sharing, Dan. 👍

I'd like to add the 1980 Lincoln DDO to this list. It has strong doubling on the date, which is the best place for doubling to be, and LIBERTY is also strongly doubled. Even an XF example would be worth $30 or so. The 1997 Lincoln doubled ear is also a great one to cherrypick. It's not as strong as the 1984 doubled ear but the 1997 has two clearly separated earlobes. An XF might be worth $20.
I’ve not seen them seek for that in those grades. Besides I am trying to narrow things down for newbies. I could have listed a lot more but this is low grade specific.
Thanks Daniel, I been penny searching for awhile now and just came across a a mis-strike or mis-punched dont know the term on it but it has the word cent on an angle on the front and rear, like it got stuck when it was punched... My uncle is a coin collector and he came across a very unique penny after picking a bunch of rolled Pennie’s at the bank about a months ago. It’s a 2009 penny that has the Lincoln formative years penny where Lincoln is reading a book and sitting on logs that was pressed on the back of a traditional 2009 penny back around the edges you can see it’s the regular back 2009 penny but covering most of the middle is a formative years penny of Lincoln. I drove him a couple hours away to a coin show and all the guys there were very intrigued and kept showing each other and all agreed it was indeed a rare error coin. Are you familiar with this type of error and what the value might be he watches your channel quite a bit and asked me to reach out you. I have a good quality zoomed in photograph I could send you. Been watching you for years, good stuff. Just one to make a comment/questions that's been nagging at me for a while regarding nations that are progressing toward an end of physical currencies by replacing them with a digital substitute. In my opinion, this will end, and worst, remove all types of currencies from the marketplace. Of course, it's a logical step to remove fiat and metals because they are environmentally destructive and wasteful at that level of production. Additionally, they are easily used against government controls in illegal ways. Do you think this removal will kill the collection business, and aside from that, the coins that remain in circulation become useless to exchange/sell for a digital, and probably controlled, fixed value if the system is designed to ignore collector preference?
Coin collecting did not hit bottom because of Nixons legislation. People hoarded their silver coins then unloaded in 1980. We’re already almost digital and there’s no plans to stop making money so it’s a moot point.
