I love how production has been stepped up. It would be really nice to have cards that are mentioned pop up though. Many times I had to pause and go look up cards.
Archfiend of Ifnir gives me yet another reason to be glad Leovold is banned
I must be missing it, but from what I'm reading, Archfiend doesn't target anything, opponents or creatures. How would Leovold interact with it?
You want to wheel with leovold, wheeling discards, and discarding interacts with archfiend.
That's... uh, gross. Jesus. Windfall should never read "opponent discards their hand, draws a card, and loses all their creatures."
Lucas Moulden when did that happen? didn't see that on the banlist.

Why not approach of the second Sun?:( it's so amazing. I pulled that at pre-release and glorious end. I casted Sun few turns later I was looking at lethal on me I casted glorious end drew Sun and won. by far the greatest thing I've done in magic. whole place was laughing and won a bet for 2 packs by winning with them.

Blade Griffin Because its not that good? It requires A. the second spell resolves and B. not dying before you draw it
Dude there are prison decks in commander who win with azors elocutors xD Second Sun is a very fun win condition for that archetype

Zur the cycler! Zur has a good argument for being the cycling commander. He fetches out drake haven, astral slide and faith of the devoted!
TheBrosa I was considering going with zur, but you put such a target on your head just through reputation that I decided against it. Perhaps in the 99 he'd be alright.
Mud2hunter you wouldn't be able to play it against random people because of that, but with a solid friend group that knows that it's a dedicated cycling deck it'd be fun

you can't ban all the combos in commander, you can ban a commander that basically can't be fun to play
Especially when it's half of the combo that you always have access to.
Ephraim Lorenz fire mind tho. But it all matters how you use it. I was gonna build a control deck around villainous wealth using leovold as a "don't target my stuff" commander. I wasn't going to wheel with him but now I can't. So glad I didn't buy him yet after all.
I had Elfball Leovold, no wheels, now I have a pile of nothing.

For me I just stopped playing MTG during this time, so it's nice to come back to this .
I actually have a budget Child of Alara Cycle and Cascade deck that I got from Commander VS. It is a living end combo deck. But now it has some more good cards to add to it.
Only card I was surprised to not see was Champion of Rhonas, seems fun to have another Elvish Piper
-edit, also Insult to Injury with Purphorous will be a blast
Thing is though, how badly did we need a third Elvish Piper? How many decks actually want that? You're in green, you can just cast your gigantic creatures. Some number of Piper effects are nice for cheating mana costs, but Champion isn't as powerful as Piper for this and probably not as good as Amulet either, so you really want this only pretty rarely.
I’m also happy, today I have tested to infinite sacrifice options for aristocrat decks

Because the mana symbols are in reminder text, can you run the bicycle lands in enemy colour commander decks?
There is no timing restriction on when you can tap Oracle's Vault, but the rulings on Gatherer say that normal timing restrictions apply to playing the card exiled with Oracle's Vault.
I'm hyped for Glorious End in my Feldon deck. Counterspell or Time Walk in monored? Heck Yeah!!

I love cycling! Favorite mechanic. 5 color, add Lightning Rift, Astral Slide, Fluctuator, Eternal Witness!
Anointed procession works with clues, which is a useful distinction from parallel lives
If you embalm Heart Piercer Manticore with Anointed Procession out can they fling each other?
I think you get the following number of tokens: Rite makes 5, which is doubled by DS (10), doubled by PL (20), and doubled again by AP (40). Thus 40 Mogg Warmarshals ETB making 40 additional goblin tokens, doubled by DS (80), doubled by PL (160), and doubled by AP (320). So you get a total of 320 goblin tokens, plus 40 Warmarshals. If you have Cryptolith Rite out you can pay their echo cost, otherwise next upkeep you get an additional 320 goblin tokens. So by the following turn you could have 640 gobbos! Now add Krenko and Second Harvest for more craziness in your already bonkers Kynaios and Tiro token deck.
Kicked rite on Mogg war Marshall with 3 doubling effects = 8x tokens. That means 40 Mogg war marshals, each bringing in a token (x2), so a total of 40 Mogg war marshals, and 80 goblin tokens, plus another 80 on your next upkeep.

will you be doing an Amonket commander clash, it shouldn't be all cards from Amonket but id like to see you build around as foretold.
I built a Skeleton Ship EDH centered around -1/-1 Counters and the Proliferate mechanic, so theres that. People hate it though, its been called "removal tribal" a lot.
It sounds like a Brago deck would be best for cycling cards, he works great with certain enchantments with Fade counters as well.
neheb is for tribal. If you want a discard centric deck, use him in the 99 of an Olivia 2.0 deck
Re #6 Hapatra, "Edh decks with -1/-1 strategies", I once lost to an awesome -1/-1 EDH deck featuring Necroskitter & Midnight Banshee: -1/-1 counter each upkeep on each enemy nonblack creature, and every creature with -1/-1 counter that dies returns under your control. That was crazy.
All those sweet Sacrifice Outlets for my Yasova deck :P
Never/Return is one of my favorite commander cards from the set because I get to kill something then later I get to exile any card from anyone's graveyard.

I was thinking Shefet Monitor as a 4 mana cycler that ramps with an untapped land and draws you a card might be a strong green staple ramper. Rethinking it now that it couldnt make an honorable mention list.
so 5 war marshal tokens *2 for 10, *2 for 20 *2 for 40
each war marshal makes 1*2 for 2, 2*2 for 4*2 for 8 red goblins
40*8=320 1/1 red goblins
i'll add on: assuming the only other creature under your control when this resolves is a krenko, mob boss. how many tokens do you get when you tap krenko?
im using partner commanders for cycling deck: Balck white for creatuer recursion and blue green for Kydele payoff.
Harvest Season is insane in Wort, The Raidmother. Imagine conspiring the Season after having conspired a few other spells and getting TWICE the number of tapped creatures you control in lands. Also in conjunction with Earthcraft and Cryptolith Rite it's amazing.

Yeah Fork effects are insane in that deck! Casting Treacherous Terrain conspiring it and then Forking it
conspiring the Fork probably just wins the game on the spot.

My friend built a Hapatra list IMMEDIATELY after pulling one in prerelease and it's genuinely a terrifying list. 10/10 would recommend.

Quick clarification question on Oracle's Vault and Paradox Engine interaction: is "play" the same as "cast?" Because Paradox requires it to be cast. Do you have to tap mana to play it from exile? If so, I don't see how you can play your whole deck. Even if it's free to play, is that the same as casting it without paying it's mana cost?
Oracle's Vault is interesting. "Play" basically means if its a non-land card you can cast it, if it's a land you can put it on the battlefield. So it still works with Paradox Engine.

Rite of replication with AP, PL, and DS on a Mogg War Marshall would make 8 MWM, and 64 goblin tokens, not kicked. if you do kick it, multiply those numbers by 5 :)
(40 MWM, 320 goblin tokens)
Of course, you could add in Primal Vigor, which would modify the original numbers to 16 MWM and 128 goblins and the kicked numbers to 80 MWM and 640 goblins.

the cycling lands are pretty good cuz they are fetchable and love cycling dead lands late game . embalming is pretty good too but i think the best card for edh is the yawgmoths will for discarded cards or cycling
Kicking rite of replication on a mogg war marshal with doubling season, parallel lives and anointed procession would get you 40 mogg war marshalls. Each mogg war marshal would generate 8 goblin tokens, so you would end up with 320 1/1 goblin tokens.
I wanna give a shout out to Shefet Monitor as green's version of Solemn Simulacrum 1.5....it's cycle cost of 3G gives you both effects the Solemn gives you.
Better actually, as you get the land untapped.
However, Sadbot's body is an important part of why it's playable.

Isn't the Oracles Vault ability to play cards something different, because Paradox Engine says cast a card?
Play basically just means "if it's a land, you can use it for a land drop, if it's something else, you can cast it." So it will trigger Paradox Engine when it hits a non-land spell.

As foretold goes directly into my Rashmi deck. That deck needs lots of mana and wants to cast spells on other people's turn.

Aven Mindcensor is great reprint for tutors shutdown, and has been going up in price recently.
Harsh Mentor is combo breaker at cheap cost of a bear, By Force is also a good redundancy effect for decks that need more Vandalblasts and shatterstorms.

well considering modo maxs out at 200 and it would be
2x(parallel lives) 2x (doubling season) 2x (anointed procession)=8 times the original tokens
rite I assumed kicked mog war marshal 5x8= 40 so 40x mog war marshal 40x 8= 320 goblin tokens
so in conclusion more then modo can handle
Neither of Oracle's Vault's abilities ignore timing restrictions. If you activate it on your opponent's turn and you exile a creature, you're SOL.
answer for Seth's guestion he'll get 40 Marshall's. who'll make 320 goblins total. with primal vigor as well. it would be doubled. 80 marshalls and 640 goblins.

no sandworm convergence? opponents can't fly over plus an army of worms seems good. I know the mana cost is high but in commander it is workable.

I mean they don't do much new. Standard naya stuff. The cool thing about the other legendaries is they are novel. I do really like Samut though, probably my favorite naya commander. Does so much.

I built this deck right away too. Try sticking Swords on her and see your opponents weep.
I have feast and famine in the deck to continue with the "untap" theme

Is sandwurm convergence good in edh?
Not unless you enjoy trolling Kaalia players. 8 mana is a lot. You can usually win the game on 9, and 8 is the range of cards like Avacyn and Ugin. Convergence doesn't have their raw punch.

To answer the question: Doubling Season + Anointed Persession + Parallel Lives then cast Mogg War Marshal.
On the turn you cast Mogg War Marshal: You create 8 1/1 Goblins.
Cast Rite of Replication, targeting Mogg: You create 1 Mogg and 8 1/1 Goblins ( Total Tokens: 16 )
Cast RoR Kicked, Targeting Mogg: You create 5 Mogg and 40 1/1 Goblins ( Total Tokens: 48 )
Turn Two, Don't pay Echo and let Mogg die: Final Tokens ( Straight Cast RoR = 32) ( Kicked RoR = 96 )
The Power to Mana invested Ratio: T2 = (Straight = 1.684) ( Kicked RoR = 4).
Mana Invested : (Straight = 19) (Kicked = 24).
So in conclusion for 5 mana investment you get nearly a 3 fold return in Power.
Alesha is gonna love Dusk to Dawn. Sure she dies, but I mean... my version of her has a bunch of sac outlets for my lil baby value creatures

I'm about to make my first commander deck. EVER. I'm looking at Alesha or Zur the Enchanter. I would like a 3 color commander with some kind of silly / janky gimmick. Doesn't have to be ultra competitive. Just super fun. Suggestions anyone?

If you like card draw, play zedruu. So funny to watch a zedruu deck do its thing.
A Ham Best advice I can give is to not go "all in" dollar wise on your first commander deck. I did this and tbh I rarely play the first deck I ever made. It's a good idea to dip your toes in with commander, not dive head first.
320 goblins... then, of course don't forget to krenko after that
