First time I saw The Stray Cats was on a show called "Fridays" back in the early 80s. When they hit the stage with their hair, a double bass and a drummer standing up, I thought, "Who and what the hell is this?" Within seconds, I was tapping my foot and became a fan ever since. Nobody does it like them.
I had the privilege of seeing these guys three different times back in the early 80s, and they were never less than mind-blowingly incredible. Dave Edmunds (Roots rock GOD!!) opened for them at one of the shows and then came out to play the evening's final encore--the old George Jones classic "The Race IS On"--and the venue just about exploded! Pure musical magic. I hope I can see them on this year's tour.
So STOKED you guys are back in business and I bet Better than ever....Get ready to Rock This Town, Rock it inside Out. Man I Miss Long Island (Selden)...

Oh baby I'm ready for the new album I think I was six or seven when I heard her my first stray cat album that's what inspired me to become a guitar player later in life I always will be a few stray cat fan and I always share their music with anybody who wants to listen thanks guys for being there when I was a kid and thank you for being there now that I'm 41 years old LOL
We saw them in Massapequa many times back in the late 70s and early 80s. Then later when I worked for radio station WLIR 92.7 on Long Island N.Y. Just the greatest time to go see live music.....
The last time they made a record, I was about 10 and never even knew who the Stray Cats were. So glad my favorite band of all time is finally making another!
Finally took my son to see them last year at the o.c. fair . Gonna take him to see them at the greek in l.a . Still have stray cats concert shirts from 87 and 89 ...
I remember seeing SC the first time they played in T.O. and I was mesmorized. Following Brian into Jazz led me to also pursue Jazz theory into my playing portfolio and using jazz comping when playing blues...Yahooooo the return of the best sounding minimalist trio ever...
Stray Cats are Rockabilly! We have seen the tour in Berlin in 2019. I have seen they 30 years ago in Hamburg. The STRAY CATS still are full of ROCKABILLY!!! Germany needs this!

I took my daughter who’s 22 she loved the show. I went to see The Paladins and stayed for the Stray Cats, my 2 favorite bands. The place was packed when the Cats played, it looked like a sellout show.

I bought the "Built For Speed" album in 1982 when I was 13. Ordered this one 5 minutes after I heard it was out. "40" captures the feel of the early stuff. It's great.
listened to a old boot of the cats live in the day....couldnt believe how good it was....the experience the others have gotten will make this cd good.....lee is really a good singer too...hope they use him some
What can i say about the legendary Stray Cats the kings of rockabilly. ❤ You still in 2024 and beyond. Real rockabilly bring it back.
