    Anyway you can show the setup on the back. With electric and acoustic going into your computer as opposed to into a mixer. Only have the option to put through garageband at home. Thanks for the help in advance.

    you will need an audio interface with two xlr inputs to hook this up to your computer. check out the alesis io2 express on our website. we've got a great deal on those units.

    Once it is turned on if you click the tone button twice very quickly it will blink a couple of time showing you that it also has the pitch correction turned on. For those of you that do not know you do not have to have an instrument like a guitar to make the harmonies work right. In the manual and it took me a long time to find this but you can set the key that you’re singing in and not even have to use a guitar in the harmonies will be perfect. But here’s the drawback you have to change that key every time you sing a song in a different key and that gets to be a pain so using the guitar you don’t have to change that all the time

      Hey Doc, are you able to save the key in the "presets"? I was thinking I would need to do this if I were to use this live. As a bass player I doubt that it would work as well as a guitar in picking up the key?

    Hello. I see that in order to have the harmony follow you perfectly, you MUST use a guitar. I'm not a guitar player and, I'm looking for a harmonizer that'll allow you to use WITHOUT a guitar or keyboard. I'm a solo vocalist and don't have the option of even having a guitar or keyboard player connected to it as I sing. I use backing tracks instead of a band/group of musicians.

      You do not have to plug the guitar in if you sent the key of the song you are singing in. It’s in the manual how to do it. But the only problem is every time you sing a different song in a different key do you have to change it in the foot pedal. But with a guitar It will do it for you without having to change anything. They have some other petals that are much easier but I have to tell you this little jewel has some thing the other ones don’t I have found that the greatest reverb in the world is called SFX on this box and I have found no other pedal that sounds good even the ones they make that’s why I stick with this box

    I can’t control the harmony volume. Even if I turn the harmony potentiometer down the harmonies are louder then my voice. Any idea what it could be?

    How does it compare to the harmony live pedal?

  • @uniquesquared
    @uniquesquared  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    The Harmony-G XT is what will be connected to your computer and even then you will need to send it to a mixer or preamp before sending it off to your interface. Unless of course you have an interface that can accomodate this type of connection.
    The type of microphone is relevant only in terms of fidelity. Not in terms of how you get connected to your computer for recording.

    Can this go direct to powered pa speakers without the need for a mixer?
    Use: acoustic guitar & one vocal mic.

      @corneliamartnick6680 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      MrClose2u Yes, this pedal is almost like a little mixer. Input=level, if you don't have any other guitar pedals the guitar knob controls your guitar level. Left XLR out on the pedal is a MONO output, but there is a stereo option (L R )

    You don't tell us how to save an effects or doubling setting. You just press and hold the button, go thru the options, but never save an option! How do you do that Let's say I want 'Hall; reverb on option '3.' I press and hold FX button and the number '1' blinks, and I press it until it blinks '3.' Now, how do I save it that way?

    Hi, I have the Harmony-G (before G-XT). I've scoured the internet for an answer, so maybe someone here can help. I can play with it live no problem, but when I try to run it into my Blue Spark condenser microphone into a Scarlett 2i interface into Logic, I can't get any sound whatsoever, despite using the 48v option for phantom power. I can, however, access the signal and harmonies with my Shure microphone. Does anyone have any first hand experience with this issue? Thanks.

    • @NICOLHAWKINS
      @NICOLHAWKINS 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mustmylung Unfortunately, no. I think maybe that model just isn't capable. A few years ago, I got the BOSS VE-Vocal Harmonist, and it's a breeze recording with it. For recording I mostly use it for its doubler and compression effects and layer on the harmonies myself. Having a pedal with built-in effects is nice, since it reduces the load on your CPU if you're recording a hefty project.

      @@NICOLHAWKINS hey Nicole I found out how to turn on the condenser mic. U need a extra xlr cable to route it to your audio interface. ( I have a focusrite scarlet solo) secondly u need to press and hold for 3 seconds the manual and double button , then a light turns on and your condenser turns on

    I recently got one of these. Love it. One slight drawback though: muting the fx also mutes the guitar (for tuning). But I like to talk to my audience while playing sometimes. Is there a way around that without sacrificing a preset?

      @@Elizabeth_nilges_ no actually for the harmonies if you read the manual which it took me a long time to figure that out but I finally did if you put the correct key in that you were singing in you don’t have to have the guitar the families will be perfect. But here’s the hook. You have to change that key every time you sing a song in a different key and that becomes a pain. The reason I really really really like this foot pedal is it has the best reverb I’ve ever heard in my life. Under the SFX button there are a couple of choices and there’s a reverb there That I really like. I have not found that in any other foot pedal by TC Helicon. I did buy a voice live three extreme which was expensive from TC Helicon but it did not have that reverb in it. So I gave it to my son. However recently on TH-cam I heard some people singing in a reverb that was so beautiful on the voicelive three. So I’m thinking there has been an upgrade with a better Reverb. So this very last couple of minutes I called my son who is in another state and told him to get online and upgrade his voicelive three and tell me is that Great reverb in there or is there a good new one in there now. I like the little GXT box because I can carry it just about anywhere. The voice Lif3 is kind of big but if it has that good reverb I Might buy another one for certain occasions I have
