What an extraordinarily good-looking young man Austin was. It seems strange that he was just a jobbing singer before Home Free, when you would have thought he'd have been snapped up by a management for a solo career. It also seems strange that, as Tim admits, the reasons they gave him the job were that he could read music and that he actually very much wanted to join the band, rather than because of his vocal abilities.
People - if you haven't done it yet, you have to listen to Home Free through headphones! Been listening for months, but with the sound directly in my ears, I can hear EVERY part much clearer. How AMAZING!

My God! Im addicted! These guys are amazing! Best group I have ever heard, bar none. I always said there was no one I would stand in line for a concert. That was true...... till now!
I have you on a constant stream here at work and everyone asks who I am listening to because they sound great!!! spreading the word about Home Free is easy to do...I listen and everyone else gets hooked!
I'm what is commonly described as a 'directioner', but I have to admit - this was pretty. Insanely. Awesome. I actually love Home Free, and all A Capella - I think the actual human capability to make this kind of awesome sound with nothing but your voice is just, well, mind-blowing. However, if there is one thing I have to say about the people who watch them, it's that they either 1. Pay no attention to the bass and drummer/beatboxer, and just focus on the lead singer's vocal skill which is not only unfair on the bass and drum/beatboxer, but also on the lead singer - it's not all him/her. The second thing is that people sometimes pay all their attention to the bass singer. Not gonna lie, to have that vocal capability and range is fantastic, and I admire it completely, but they aren't the only one's putting effort into the performance. With no lead and harmonic singers, the song.. Well, it would just be bass tones. The final thing I have to say about Home Free particularly, is that people compare them to Pentatonix. For example, I saw a comment stating: 'I kept thinking the bass guy was Avi from PTX'. Now okay, they look fairly similar - but they are different people, different tones, slightly different ranges. So don't compare them! They are equally talented A Capella groups, and work equally as hard - but please, please don't compare them - they are separate. Just because they both make amazing A Capella, doesn't make them the same. You wouldn't compare, say, Ariana Grande and Katy Perry, and they both make pop music, so...? Why Home Free and Pentatonix? Anyway, rant over, congratulations guys - this is so, so, so good, I can't even find words to describe it. P.S. If this seemed immature or childish, that's probably related to the fact that I'm a thirteen year-old girl. So yeah.
Really? I feel that this group pays equal amounts of attention to everyone in the crew. also - it's a cappella. No need to capitalize the C, and two p's!
amazing singers, especially Tim Foust. much appreciation for an excellent bass singer, but the whole band is amazing. would love to meet you guys in person.
You guy’s are amazing. I have listened for a while and every song I hear is something else. The joy I get from hearing the harmonies. You are an A Cappella group that is top notch. Keep up the great work and I look forward to hearing music into the future.
It is basically impossible to expres the importance of an incredibly skilled bass in one of these groups. Tim is off the charts holding down those backing lines. Geez.
What ,what are you guys doing to us Home Fries Family.. Lord have mercy you just sent my soul flying with that beautiful beautiful Angelic sound that comes out of your mouths 👄👄 I love you my boys God bless you.. Austin, Rob,Tim, Adam, and Chris..
Home Free and VoicePlay are equally my favorite acapella groups. I can't pick one over other. Hope schedules can be arranged to do a song together again. Thanks for the music guys. Life is so much better with you gracing us with your talent.
There's no words to describe how amazing your music is, and how it can immediately calm me down or put me in a much better mood. You guys truly have a gift, and together, it's amazing. Thank you (:
Your best video yet! Your success comes from your love of what you do, the love and respect you have for each other, the love from your family, friends and fans, but mostly because you genuinely love to have fun and it shows in every thing you do individually, and as a group. It really looks like you are friends and that makes your music so great. I still would love to see/hear Adam SING lead, his harmonies are just as great as his beat boxing and I think his beat boxing is the BEST I have ever seen and heard.
Meh, it's just a low B, I can sing that too. It is nothing compared to what he did on Sing-Off! Did you hear? He reached a low F! And a low E flat on Wake Me Up! THAT is AWESOME!
I get the biggest kick out of y’all doing this song. You look like you’re having such a good time. You are so beautiful together and separately. May God Bless and Keep you all safe and well. Thank you for for all you do and the messages your music spreads far and wide. I’m so lucky to have found you and am astonished at the range of talent in this group along w/ Chris Rupp and Holten ( not sure about his name is spelled) Thanks guys - I’ll shut up now - my husband says i start rambling - I think he’s right!!
Wow!! I've heard many acapella groups throughout my life and thought I've heard it all, but you guys (Home Free) are yet the Best I've ever heard!! Awesome !!!
Funny thing. My 8 year old daughter is a daddy's girl to such a point if my wife gets within kissing distance out of no where she pops up and gets between us. I mean she comes from 3 rooms away and had her door closed playing and singing at top of her lungs yet she knows. But one night I was in the kitchen and had left a list of Home Free playing on the computer. Well my wife was tired and leaned into me and kissed me and then just laid her head on my chest. After a few minutes we realized something new....We were not being interrupted nor separated by our daughter. Thank you Home Free!!!! LOL!!!
All these flashbacks are so sweet! I love Tim's smile in the last flashback! And at the beginning when he was spinning Rob around in that chair and fell on the floor laughing made me laugh.AND when he and Austin were trying to throw their food into each other's mouths was just like ''WOW'' (How did they both catch the food?) This song makes me cry just 'cause it's so beautiful.
After years of searching for music that calms my Autistic son during a meltdown, my search is over. He loves Home Free. We all do, but he listens to Home Free every day and has so much fun singing along. Thank you!
Amazing arrangement. I love to hear Adam singing even if it's just briefly. All in all, this version is so true to the song and also true to the group, so it's got everything.
Was watching this clip last night and spotted Deke Sharon at around 3:15. My youngest girl had been at a workshop with him most of the day and she had asked him about Home Free. You guys are inspirational, love the harmonies, individual talents and the hijinks, The whole family are fans.
I just absolutely love listening to yall. I have played your videos for my family and friends to listen to and they loved them, too. Would love to see yall in concert.
Amy Weed ~ I agreed m, it’s better than the original, but I still love 1D’s version. The difference is Home Free are grown men and 1D were still boys trying to find their voices. Some still are. Credit to Louis Tomlinson for writing this beautiful song.
ok no sorry leave my boys tf alone. they sing it live better than this. I’ll agree their covers are better than the the original for most of their songs but not this one sorry. Louis, Harry, liam, niall, and zayn’s voice mesh incredible together, they can absolutely destroy high notes and they were only like 18, this sounds ok compared to some of their live performances of soml
Definitely prefer Home Free’s version, 1D sound like every single other boy band in existence, there’s absolutely nothing special about them. Yes they can all sing and I’m not denying they’re talented in that aspect but it’s all the same mass produced crap. Austin absolutely smashed those high notes and he wasn’t even maxing out his higher register and his lows in this were phenomenal, speaking of lows I could feel Tim’s bass rumble in my chest 😍 the guys did an such awesome job with a really beautiful song 💓
what I like about you guys is that you all have clear and controlled voices. There is stylization in there, but its obvious that it's not "lazy" you are all capable of holding a lovely clear note which makes it a pleasure to listen to you. Plus a cappella needs to just come back en force and you guys are doing a great job of that! It's time music showcased voices more than effects again.
Hello Fellows, When I first heard you I was so blown away with your amazing voices and look. I was so blown away in fact that I shared your video on facebook and told everyone about you. I live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and hopefully if you come sing in Ottawa, I promise to come see you sing. I wish you all the best and hope to see you soon. Your fan Nicky xoxox
Absolutely. No matter what your group is doing. The way your voices work together is amazing. I love all the songs you guys put out. If all else fails, just keep singing!
you guys never stop amazing me with your singing....,I love your group and everything you guys sing..... I'm glad I'm a fan....thanks for all the music to enjoy
My favourite songs are Hillbilly Bone and Elvira. The Harmony near the end of Elvira is so tight. I like the Butts mashup too, that was fun. How Great Thou Art gave me chills. The simplicity of the song and the backdrop was beautiful. Nothing but lush greenery, blue skies and snow top mountain. Where better to experience God's beauty? Tears were in my eyes for that one.
I really love you guys! My favorite singers ever!! You are the first concert I have ever wanted to go to and I got to go see you close to my hometown, in Akron, Ohio this year. I own all of your CDs. I wish there was more out! Take care.
I love home free, and the best part is that they don't disappoint. I'm sure even the original singers of the songs they do cover are proud of their work. Glad to be a homefry.. .🤞
OMG you guys knock it out of the park every single time!!! I watched The Sing Off with my parents and grandma and when ya'll performed Ring of Fire, my dad and grandma about went crazy. Can you plz plz plz come do a concert down in Destin, FL??? My dad and I would absolutely LOVE to see you guys live. My dad and are such music lovers and we absolutely adore you guys. As always great harmonies and AWESOME solos. Austin and Tim I love you guy's voices and Rob and Chris too! And Adam does the best beat boxing ever!!! Love you guys keep on doing more covers!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I've been listening to them since I was 6 years old. When my mom found out she could play TH-cam on the tv we would listen to them all summer day during. Some of my most special memories.
Wow goosebumps.. Keep up home free.. Experiments with different songs with your style is gonna be awesome.. Keep discovering new style and genres.. Waiting for more beautiful ones.. God bless you guyzz..
@@akatokyo5074 he chose to leave and pursue other projects. He and his brother Adam (the beatboxer) started the group in college in the 90's. His place as baritone was filled by Adam Chance who is still currently with them. Chris Rupp has put out some of his own music, check him out.
thanks for making it ok for this 40 something year old lady to be able to admit she likes this song!! Liked it a lot by them, but TOTALLY LOVE it by you guys!
hi there. I just wanted to say that I found out about you guys from the collaboration tim did with peter hollens plus I checked out Elvira. that was genius. it made me cry cuz that was the song I sang at my stepdads funeral last month. it was his favorite and makes me think of him. you guys are absolutely amazing. your harmonies are so water tight they defy the once impossible. I am now such a huge fan of all of you. I never really listened to country music before but now, I am more open to what country music could really be. you all have no limits to what you can do or accomplish. you touched my heart deeper than you know.
Help. I'm trapped in a wormhole and don't see the end anytime soon! I can't stop listening... Tell my family I love them!
You don't need help; just give up and wallow in it 😁.

ok no sorry leave my boys tf alone. they sing it live better than this.
To quote the Jolly Rogers, "That's right, Ladies and Gentlemen, we are...a Man Band!" LOL
what I like about you guys is that you all have clear and controlled voices.

Tom Dyer Glad you like it!
That B1 is so gorgeous. I'm not quite a choir kid, but I am a band kid who plays a bass instrument and I can safely say Tim is amazing
+Patrick Star Thank ya kindly

+Ethan Goldmeer Thank ya kindly
Absolutely. No matter what your group is doing. The way your voices work together is amazing. I love all the songs you guys put out. If all else fails, just keep singing!

you years ago! Just love your music guys!!
you guys never stop amazing me with your singing....,I love your group and everything you guys sing..... I'm glad I'm a fan....thanks for all the music to enjoy
you guys really know who needs to shine in every song
just love how you guys blend your voices in every song you guys make :D
Need to also mention that I couldn't stand this song, until I heard you all sing it.
Take care.
it's amazing how I don't like this song but when you do it is just amazing
ACTIVATED JJRW RIGHT

Don't have words to describe how good your songs are!
The man with the bass is amazingly talented
I love home free, and the best part is that they don't disappoint. I'm sure even the original singers of the songs they do cover are proud of their work.
Glad to be a homefry.. .🤞

2:12 Tim's Adam's apple...
+Glame Glumps Oh my god!

That's funny because they have a guy named Adam in the group...
Nadiv Kaspi oml Lol that’s hilarious
Never heard of 1D until.12/2018. I knew this was a cover, but had no clue who released it. I was very critical, 1D messed up Home Free's song.
Can't help loving Bob's voice!!!!
And Tim in the end... man!!!!
Love all of you guys...
0:41.....it's moments like this that make me miss Chris 😥
what happend
@@akatokyo5074 he chose to leave and pursue other projects. He and his brother Adam (the beatboxer) started the group in college in the 90's. His place as baritone was filled by Adam Chance who is still currently with them. Chris Rupp has put out some of his own music, check him out.
Love hearing everyone get there moment in the arrangement.
The only 1D song/cover I can stand to listen to. That's saying something. Hope to see you guys perform in person one day.
I started listening to them when they were on Sing Off. Loved them then, love them now.
I can't get tired of this. You guys just make me so happy!
thanks for making it ok for this 40 something year old lady to be able to admit she likes this song!!
+Eliza Thompson Glad our music can make ya smile :-)
Yay Minnesota thank you guys for presenting us yet again!
I love those super long sustained notes with Adam just chuggin along with those beastly beats underneath. SO COOl!
