Thermoforming is one of the most common processes for making a wide variety of consumer and industrial plastic parts. It’s also one of the fastest growing of the plastics manufacturing industries and employs thousands of personnel. While simple in concept, thermoforming is a complex process requiring knowledgeable and skilled personnel at all levels in the plant.

I have a question for anyone. I'm using a 30 year old sencore 2200. I am making bases and blister lids for packaging. I am having issues with webbing or folding at 90 degree corners. What can I do to eliminate that. Longer dwell?

I like the idea of continuous forming and preheating. Once the sheet is heated, how do you advance it to the mold w/o stretching it? Is there some point at which the material is just hot enough for forming, but not hot enough to stretch when pulled, or are there pinch rollers on the feed and exit sides rolling the edges of the material?

I would think pinch rollers.we vac form vinyl onto plastic substrates and use a pinch chain to move the material forward to forming

The Chain rail width increases with oven length

Forming poly off a reel with no heat cure to eliminate absorption of moisture? I then assume its acrylic only. That setup is full process! I blank whats on order from reels then cure the blanks then form. This machine is ergonomic for sure!
