I've enjoyed several of your videos. What a nifty boat! How much dinghy space is there on the house roof?

We have an AB Navigo 10 VS, which is about 9’10” long, with a Honda 9.9 with electric start. It’s a tight fit but it works. A bigger dinghy will fit if you turn the installation of the crane around, but for weight and space reasons, we chose this set up.

@@dorseybeard5723 Thanks -- was wondering about an 11' Whaler because I think I'd prefer a hard boat, but haven't decided. Sounds like ~10' is a good estimate. Thank you!

@@jrcrawford4 I really don’t think this boat is big enough for an 11’ whaler. Weight becomes an issue at some point. The person to fully address the question is Kurt at American Tug. Modifications can be made. Of course, you could always look at the AT 43 or 48!

@@dorseybeard5723 Yes, I definitely want to watch the weight and bulk, even with a crane. I think the Whaler is around 450 lbs. with a 15-hp. I'm not stuck on it though -- and yes I love the 43 and the 48. In fact I was leaning towards one of those until I realized there was a second cabin on the 39. The 39 obviously draws less, and I live in N.C. where we have lots of shallow water.... I've sent a message through the AT website but gotten no answer (yet). It's been a couple or three days so I'll try again with an email first of the week. Thanks again for the video; there's no substitute for actually getting aboard but seeing the boats this way does help when you are 200 miles from a marina!

@@jrcrawford4 If you are on Facebook, Bruce posts little videos almost every day on the group “Trawler Life”. Feel free to join in. If you are really interested in the boats, call Kurt directly, or e-mail him at kurt@americantugs.com. He is very responsive and can answer any American Tug-related question better than anyone on the planet. We will be headed south through the Carolinas in the next few weeks. I keep a blog which is chronically out of date by a week or so, but you can follow us at www.brucebeard.com

At time of launch, an observer asked “Hey, what’s that big round dome thing up on the top?”
Captain: Why that’s our satellite TV dish
Observer: What’s the second dome do?
Captain: Its incase we knock the first one off going under a bridge”
Observer: What the third one do?
Caption: Well, they are sort of like forks at a place setting in a fancy restaurant.
    Observer: Surprised Pikachu face

Thank you! And yes, never understand the thumbs down. But this is the internet so we shouldn't be surprised, should we?!
