I'm so glad you did this reaction. Thank you. Jorn Lande is one of the most powerful voices in rock and metal music. I've been listening to his music for 12 years or even more. Great guy. Welcome to the Avantasia Journey, they are so Amazing, every long song they have is a masterpiece. I would recommend "Arabesque" and "The Raven Child" from them.

Avantasia is the metal opera projekt by Tobias Sammet, beside his main band Edguy.
I think Avantasia have released about maybe 10 albums til now, all with different musicians except the Edguy drummer Felix Bonke.
The other singer in this video are Jörn Lande, a norwegian metal vocalist.
My favourite Avantasia song are Ghostlights, please try that one.
There is so many great bands out there you havent discovered yet, so I wish you a fun metal journey.

Btw. I've seen two Avantasia shows. First time they played 3h 10min, second time 3h 30min.
At the Beginning he was saying: „WACKEN! WE ARE AVANTASIA AND YOU’RE HAVING FUN TONIGHT, HAVE YOU? DO YOU HAVE BOCK (Honestly I don‘t know how to translate this in english it‘s a common phrase in germany … it‘s like are you motivated or ready for the song) xD

The main lead singer for Avantasia is Tobias Sammet. He is the German version of Arjen Anthony Lucassen from Ayreon fame. He has many guest vocalists on his records and invites them to perform live. Floor does a duel with him on one of his latest song called "Misplaced Among the Angels". See link from Rodney below.
The second singer is Jorn Lande, a Norwegian powerhouse. True power metal.

Insane performance! I didn't even know this project/the band until Wacken 22. I watched the live stream and was glad I heard and saw it. But this one was indescribably good, dammit!

Great reaction try misplaced among the angels by them featuring floor jansen. Or the raven child, my favourite one though is probably lucifer which also features a couple of singers.
Tobias Sammet (the guy with the hat) is the creator of Avantasia, but he also had another band - Edguy (I really don't know if they are still active, I think they are not) and as much I like Avantasia, I think I can say that Edguy is even better for me. They have some crazy good songs.
Germany is full of amazing musicians and Tobias is one of them. 🖤

You'll enjoy moreof the singers he's worked with, Michael Kiske (Helloween) is a regular, he's worked with Kai in the past, Hansi (Blind Guardian), Floor on the latest album, Marko sang on oen album, Geoff Tate (Queensryche).
Avantasia is a superb project in which the late Andre Matos participated. Do not hesitate to listen to and evaluate songs from the group Angra and in particular the extraordinary cover of Kate Bush's hit!
