  • In this creative session Illustrator Eleni Debo is taking you on a trip in the mountains near her home to show you how she experiments with shapes and textures in her work in an explorative exercise creating a mountainous and architectural landscape.
    The Illustration brush pack featured in the session can be purchased here: affinity.serif.com/store/prod...
    Eleni has also created a set of 4 free brushes that can be used alongside the creative session. These brushes are new brushes that make a great addition to the Illustration brushes available in the store and can be downloaded here affin.co/EleniDeboFC

    Hello from Saint Louis, Missouri, USA. I am just beginning to use brushes. I have Eleni's brush pack but have not used it, but soon. One thing I like about her brush pack is the informative examples and explanations that accompany the software.

    This is a beautiful way of working. I have never even considered using photo for drawing, I’ve always gone straight to designer. Thank you for sharing and opening my eyes to a new process.

    Very inspiring! Thank you for sharing your process and showing how you use your own brushes. Question for Eleni: do you have any screen cover or protector on your iPad to give the surface more of a paper feel or do you use your Apple Pencil directly on the surface?

    • @elenidebo7996
      @elenidebo7996 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Currently I don't, but I have been considering buying one as the iPad screen is indeed quite slippery.

    Do you determine the position of the shadows just by the direction of the light or do you use some artistic concept or both?

    • @elenidebo7996
      @elenidebo7996 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I often start by using the direction of the lightsource, but if I feel like it’s better for the composition to deviate from that, I’ll happily ignore it!
