The rain stick was an inspired choice to add texture to one of Mega Man 2's less attention-grabbing tunes.
Thanks for that! That is exactly what I was thinking also. The music for this part of the game is the most repetitive and a little boring. I added the roto toms for that reason too.
I suppose the greatest sin Wily's Castle II commits is that it has to follow on the heels of one of the NES catalogue's all-time bangers in Wily's Castle I.
There was no way for anybody to follow the Rock vs. Hollywood (Hulk) Hogan at Wrestlemania x8, and there may have been no way to follow Wily's Castle I on the MM2 soundtrack, either.
