  • In this episode I'm joined by Philippe Auclair to discuss how much that surrounds the game of football is taking place in the courtroom.
We begin by chatting about Man City's legal challenge to the Premier League's associated party transaction rules, and how it was reported in sections of the media, before moving onto the case involving Lasana Diarra and what it might mean for the transfer market going forward.
Then we talk about how top footballers are talking more openly about the demands placed on them and the possibility of a strike at some point, FIFA's ghastly Club World Cup idea, as well as some Arsenal chat as we reflect on the season to date.

The thing that has really made me hate city is their conduct & behaviour through all of this. I was begrudgingly ambivalent towards them for many years but now they make me feel physically sick; I despise them. I would, sincerely, even as a man from NW London, prefer tottenham win the league than Manchester city.

Well said , and I know as a Gunner since 1962 what that took to say .
If City win or lose I think it's time the other 16 clubs left them and their PGMO to rot .

I get the distinct feeling that Monsieur Au Clair is not at all enamoured with Man City 😂😂..

This reminds me of when Abramovich sold Chelsea. We all know why he was forced to sell, but Chelsea fans SANG his name. They were actively praising him when he’s a key part of Putin’s posse. I know all billionaires don’t get their money without some dark deeds being done but it was like Chelsea fans were rooting for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. All I wish for is the dismantling of Chelsea and City and hope they never set foot in the top division of English football ever again.

Courts are made to make money, just like jails, speeding tickets, and so on, justice is a movie concept, its all done for money, because people who want to be "in charge" are always chasing more power, which in our days comes through money making.

I think if fans of all other teams would unite online against city it would be fantastic. Start driving a narrative against them on every platform available.

Who is Philippe talking about here 8:45?

    • @miniman2132

      Martin Samuel.
When the 174 page document dropped, he had read, wrote, considered and published an article stating City claimed a seismic victory in about 20 minutes.
He was obviously briefed by Manchester City and marched to their orders.

@@miniman2132 Definitely, you can also argue Sky Sports did the same with their reporting.

@@miniman2132 Ah perfect, thanks! Sam Lee from The Athletic is also far too soft on City. I get that he's a fan and all, so some amount of bias is expected, but as a serious journalist he should be more impartial.

@@joe_newdawn if you think city does not "reward" those opinions, you are naive.

@@alexcoyg3281 I wouldn't be surprised. How Michael Oliver is allowed to referee in the PL after taking 20k to ref in the UAE is beyond me, let alone the City-Arsenal game at the Etihad. A lot of rotten fish out there.

On one side there's Manky ,Shedsea Toffees and LooneyToon ,so the other 16 clubs need to leave the obnoxious 4 and Manky can retain their PGMO matchfixers . Meanwhile the FA need to shake their ideas up and be totally against the club world cup along with the World Cup, maybe retain the Euro championship every 10 years so that's Summer 2034 where I can be painting the fence or making cider.
Club football on a level playing field is all that counts
