Well done for fitting it yourself. We have looked at these, but our bikes are big ebikes so don’t fit…plus I think we are already almost at the weight limit of our carrier when the bikes are on 🤣🤣 Loving the merch…👍😍
Thanks I bet the ebikes can be heavy. Main thing with this was to make sure I drilled in the right place so it didn’t end up resembling a piece of Swiss cheese
@@keepingupwiththestoweys Didn't manage to start it at the weekend - other jobs got in the way! Hoping to do it this weekend or if not definitely next. Need to do it as the box is sitting in the conservatory taking up rather a lot of space :)
Nice one, are you using two ratchet straps around the box and base frame only or just one strap in the middle around the vertical part of the carry frame on the rear wall of the van plus the base of the bike rack?
@@keepingupwiththestoweys Thanks yes, we have the same sort of set up and it was just some of the bounce I was looking to counter. I currently have two ratchets straps either side just around the box and base of the bike rack which doesn't really counter the bounce on the bottom corner of the Fiamma frame but it does keep the box stable on the bike wheel troughs. One ratchet strap although it really isn’t necessary to be honest
