You threw in the rosemary and butter way too early, these go in after you flip otherwise you're just burning the butter and rosemary. Try throwing in the butter / rosemary during the list 90 seconds of searing and you'll notice a big difference in flavor. Also another tip - the side of the steak that has the fat, you need to grab some tongs and render the fat by just pressing the fat into the pan since that takes longer to cook than the lean meat, if you look at the raw meat before you cook it, you'll notice the steaks have a solid patch of fat on one side, just press that side against the pan for an extra 45 seconds to a min to let the fat render before throwing them in the oven.
That is awesome Brayan! Let us know how it turns out =) That's how I started cooking. I watched my mom and brother and couldn't wait to start cooking too.
Hahaha! I'm glad to hear this recipe worked out perfectly for you Charlene =) I had the exact same experience but I couldn't stop myself from eating the whole steak lol!

So glad I found this video! I ordered 2 t bone steaks from publix today making my husband a steak dinner as an anniversary dinner date, but needed help in knowing how to cook a t-bone 🥩 I've never cooked a steak but this video made it look easy and simple, thank you!
My boyfriend and I have made this recipe several times and we love it. We're making it for our anniversary tonight to pair with a nice red wine. We even get to use the rosemary from our garden which makes it extra tasty. Thanks for the great video and recipe Dmurph & Pri-Pri!
Wonderful! It is great to hear you like it so much you've made it several times and genius on the fresh herbs grown out back! Great choice to pair it with a red wine. Which type do you like to have with steak? We're into Pino Noir or Merlot. I like a Cabernet but Pri-Pri isn't a fan. That's for when we're eating out and buying by the glass lol
I am going to try this tonight, I have two t bone steaks and two iron pans to sear them in and they can go directly in the oven! I honest could smell this video lol lol. I can't wait, looks delicious! Thank you!
I followed your instructions on seasoning it and my T-bone steak came out delicious. The timing instructions are just perfect for cooking it. Thanks bro, happy new year to you.
Wonderful! Garlic butter is also another great way to add some extra flavor to steak. Herbs like rosemary and thyme help but aren't necessary for a tasty steak =)
I just cooked two t-bone steaks and they came out delicious the butter burn a little bit but the steak still came out good tender and delicious first time trying this followed you to the tea thank you I will be cooking this again
I like your warning about seasoning differences between pans and grills pending which you use. I once tried a ham in a slow cooker but as traditional ham I stuck it with cloves. Boy o boy what came out of that slow cooker even my greedy always peckish dog ran away from
Bombed by cloves aye Greg? I haven't done much with cloves but they're used heavily in Indian recipes. Do you do anything with helicopters? I noticed the profile pic.
Perhaps it was a tad too much. I really thought hard about including that part in the video. Probably should have clipped it out. You'd be surprised how many people notice stuff like that. Yikes!
I was looking for an Alternative to grilling on my gas grill during the cold weather here in Wash St. Strait forward recipe ..Plan on making this w my Cast Iron Pans later today .. I can tell the flavor that will come out of this once complete will be stellar.
Man, you mama taught you well....LOL I've tried your recipe and it worked out really well. I have been trying to find the easiest and quickest way to cook my steaks but with no success. I've always seem to overcook and taste horrible. This was simple and did the trick. Thanks!

I’m going to try this for my husband. He has been working in the heat all day every day for me to stay home, raise our 3 boys and go to college. The man deserves a T-Bone Steak.
You are an amazing wife and I am 110% on board with your plan! I think he'll love this recipe and Kroger has T-bones on sale this weekend. I just bought two for PriPri and myself. Let me know what the hubby thinks and what are you studying?
Nice video. Enjoyed it. (was wondering though, since you are seasoning the steaks right in the packaging, you never washed them?) --- I remember one time at the meat counter, and the guy that was cutting and slicing meat, sneezing all over the place like there was no tomorrow. Personally, and also with meat sitting on that soaked paper underneath, I prefer to give them a cold rinse, than pat them dry with a paper towel.
A lot of people say you don't have to rinse or wash meat due to bacteria 🤦♀️ but I can't wrap my mind around not washing and rinsing mine off n cleaning the area afterwards. They are too lazy to clean afterwards
@@deviaunaashmore2291 Yes, anything someone else has touched should be rinsed off, and deep sanitizing afterward. I personally prefer not to use wooden cutting boards for even cooked meat.
OMG! I am watching this video at work at 9 in the morning and I'm ready to clock out, to buy 2 large T-bones and get to cooking. Know what I'm having for dinner.
Just cooked this...& Oh my oh my....its delicious. Just waiting on hubby to get off, & so he can taste it. Thanks so much for the idea....& he loved it!
I highly recommend cooking with a digital thermometer probe (you can buy one for $25 at amazon). I basically just sear for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes on each side of the steak. Then lower the heat to medium and stick the thermometer in. I like it medium rare so when the thermometer reads 125 F i take the steak off the pan. and rest it for 5 minutes.
It’s been a few years since I’ve last had a t bone steak. Ever since I’ve first tried Ribeye, I hardly wanted any other kind. But now I’m heavily considering trying a t bone again.
T-bone steak was on sale so I had to get, never cooked it before and after this video and me cooking it, it was amazing and I can’t wait to come back to this video and make it again 🤣
Great video and I appreciate you responding to most, if not all comments. Well-directed and thorough in your explanations. Will be trying this Tuesday or Wednesday night with 4 tbones. Any suggestion how to cook 4?
Thank you Shawn! For a stove top, 4 is a bit tough. You can sear two at a time and then put all of them in the oven at once. I’ve done that before and it turned out well. You can cover the first two in tin foil so they don’t lose heat while you’re searing your last two.
I followed your directions on the cooking times and it came out great! Next time though I will use the fresh garlic and herbs because this time I had to use what I had (garlic powder) etc. Mmmmmmm!
Awesome, awesome, AWESOME! I love that this recipe worked out for you 😁👍 It means a lot to get that feedback. Garlic powder is a nice substitute if you don’t have the garlic. That’s what I used to use. I started using whole garlic when I adding fresh rosemary to my recipes.
I was stuck on how to cook, because we are having T Bone steak for dinner tonight. I will definitely go for this one, easy to cook and looks appetizing! The ingredients are not expensive. Can l use margarine to substitute butter please?
I very seldom fix steaks because I either get them too done or not done enough. I used your recipe for the first time, and my t-bone turned out delicious. I didn’t have rosemary, but the steak was very good anyway. First time I put one in the oven. I think that was key.
Great to hear! I try to make my tutorials easy to follow so you can get similar results =) Yes this technique can be used with all kinds of different flavors and techniques. It really helps if you don't feel like grilling or don't have a grill.
Thank u for sharing. My first time cooking steak and I used ur recipe. It came out delicious. We have stay at home orders due to Corona virus so I am experimenting. I will definitely follow u. Thanks once again.
Awesome! This is one of my favorite ways to cook steak. I'm thrilled the recipe spiced up your stay at home time! The oven helps to get to that perfect internal temp and garlic and rosemary add such a good flavor =D
Glad you liked it Bill. There's something so good about that Rosemary flavor infused in butter. We made a rosemary garlic butter last night to top our steaks and it brought back some good memories!
It's a nice way to change up your steak recipe and is easy to do in a kitchen. Rosemary adds a real nice flavor too! I put it with most of my beef recipes now and have two plants growing at home.
Yes, this could also work well with a pot roast as long as it’s baked on a roasting rack at a lower temperature. I wouldn’t put it in the oven on a pan. Sear the meat on all sides then put the roast in the oven set to 225 F with a meat thermometer in the thickest piece. After about an hour and a half check the temperature. I made one the other day medium rare to medium and it took a little over 2 hours. You have to keep an eye on the temperature but it turns out perfectly!
This is a flavorful/easy recipe! I did a lot of grilling before trying this out and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I wouldn't say this replaces grilling a steak but it is a nice substitute. Enjoy!
That's a pretty good looking steak, one of my favorite methods as well. I always used to try cooking them on the grill alone but pan seared turns out more flavorful and tender imo.
Thank you Carlos! Yes you can control the flavor pretty well in a pan. I used to do only grill in the past but now I mix it up. Glad you liked the video!
You threw in the rosemary and butter way too early, these go in after you flip otherwise you're just burning the butter and rosemary. Try throwing in the butter / rosemary during the list 90 seconds of searing and you'll notice a big difference in flavor.

Crispy rosemary is quite tasty. You need the oils to be released into the olive oil.
It’s even better to trim some of the fat around the steaks and use in pan to fry the steaks it won’t burn has a high burn temp and add butter to that
Beautiful tips! Thank you!
I do butter and rm after I sear it. Remove it do the rm add steak for 1 min then sit out for 10
If you watch the video again, it did go on after he flipped it! How else could it then be on top???
