- Calling is a song originally from The World Ends with You Original Soundtrack sung by Leah, with lyrics by Sawa and was composed and arranged by Takeharu Ishimoto.
Calling was remixed for the Subarashiki Kono Sekai + The World Ends with You album and was called Calling -1960s-.
It was again remixed by Ishimoto for Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance with the name Calling KINGDOM MIX as part of Subarashiki Kono Sekai -Crossover-. As a part of that same album, Calling was featured alongside Twister and Hybrid in Twister -Crossover-. In The World Ends With You Final Remix, a live version of the Kingdom Mix and Twister Crossover was included titled CALLING - KINGDOM MIX (Live Ver.) and Twister - Crossover (Live Ver.).
In Subarashiki Kono Sekai Crossover ~Tribute, a very techno version was remixed as Calling (T$UYO$HI Remix).
Within The Death March, Calling (The Death March) was created which is a much more downbeat, almost depressed version of the song.
Both the original and 1960s versions were updated in The World Ends With You Final Remix.
In NEO: The World Ends with You, a remix of the original appears and plays in the overworld after the final party member joins.
Lyrics
Calling
You hear the
Calling
Calling
You hear the
Calling
Let me go
Gravity
What’s on my shoulder
“Little by little, I feel a bit better”
Let me know
Set me free
I feel a bit older
Just once more unto the breach
“Dear friend, once more”
Wake up
Leave your hesitation
Wake up
Time for us to realize
Wake up
Show appreciation
Wake up
Time for us to realize
Calling
Someone is
Calling
Wait and see
Empathy
You’re not the only one
“Little by little you’ll feel a bit better”
Lucky me
Destiny
You are on my side
Just once more unto the breach
“Dear friend, once more”
“Every day I tell myself ‘today’ll be the day’ but I’m always wrong.”
“Not today.”
"...right?"
As someone who played the original TWEWY when it came out in 2008, and waited 13 years between games...that scene hit me right in the feels like you wouldn't believe.
Anyone else find it funny how they said “Not today.” I swear they rehearsed that so many time prior. Sorta sad and cute.
I love how this song hasn't started playing for me in this game until i got Neku in my party.
He is all I think about when I hear this song play
wake up! show appreciation
I almost cried when this played again.
"They gave me Beat. They can't resist to give me everyone else". I just knew it. I fucking knew it was gonna happen. I fucking knew I was finally gonna have my cute happy ending reunion of Neku and Shiki and I was still screaming internally at 3am when I finally finished it.
Wait, that happened with me the at the same time as well yesternight
I love this soundtrack, it bring me lot of joy
Between the original in the first game, Dream Drop distance, and this one....I feel the dream drop version is the best one in my opinion.
DDD's remixes oozed personality.
I love the ddd version but ey the neo mix slaps hard
Why did this song play in DDD? I never played DDD but why would they use a TWEWY song?
@@Sam-mk9ke Neku and Shiki are in KH DDD that's why xD
Agree
I had the original song as the menu BG music in the previous game, and you can bet I set this one for NEO’s menu as soon as I got it.
I have Jump Over Yourself for NEO. .
My second ringtone was the beginning of Calling with the intro removed. Before that, I had used Ridin' Dirty.
Insomnia for me lol
@@UncannyAura Good choice :)
I switch around depending on mood, but my main one is always Breaking Free
This was a great game!🤩
oghhh this video is sick, thanks for the stylish lyric video >:)
I been waiting for someone to reupload this song! Thank you
These zetta sons of digits have to make a 3rd game.
Also I prefer the original but this remix is kinda better than the DDD one so I'm gonna take it.
I would say that "no thanks, sequel is usually worse", but looking how NEO was, imo, better than original... Yes, they can make third game a masterpiece too

"Listen up, yo. I ain't Neku. (Takes off mask) The name's Beat, yo."
BWAAAAH! Phones, you've doomed us man! Who's gonna play Reaper Creeper now?
Gotta admit that was one hell of a twist!
Best remake of a song in existence
When ur phone doesn't shut the fuck up:

niggas calling the vocals bad...are we listening to the same song??
They've gotta be living in a different timeline or something.

“Not today…right?”
Best version of Calling IMO
I loved this game. I kind of wished it was set more in present day rather than just a couple years in the TWEWY universe. I feel like it would have hit harder when the old gang appeared and were the same age as the ones who were teens when the OG released.

😍😍😍
Yassuo lead me here
how is that? 😲
@@fungames1049 He used this track in one of his recent videos - th-cam.com/video/e-jkbKfIrxY/w-d-xo.html
@@Robinb98 Nice
I love me some Shoka up close.
The day after. If you know, you know.
The only thing that bugs me about this version is the added "one" in "only one" at 1:37. It screws up the rhyming.
anyone knows when will this ever drop on epic?
Now it is
I actually like this one much better at the end when the singer goes hard and the music stops.
Hi
Where the lyrics re-performed? They feel much less smoother than the original!
Agreed they did the instrumental right but the vocals are what ruin the song for me they should have just used the original vocals.
Instead of "you're not the only" it became "you're not the only one" in the second verse
Where is Joshua?
Is there a ger a bad remix on this song 🎶 🥰 🎶
So much worse than the original. The singing here is just not right
Wtf is that remix it horrible
Very much agreed
It’s not bad
@@Fireclaw5588 it's pretty bad but to each their own
Yeah, while I like the remixes of the original TWEWY songs, they definitely aren't as good as the originals
