I don't know how he didn't win WYYC 2011, this freestyle was clean, smooth, and on point. I only counted around 6 misses, and he mostly used regens which was awesome.
If Jensen wanted to point whore and win the competition, he would have done just that. He's already won the world title, he's now doing something beyond that. He's expanding yoyo as an art form. I've spent the past seven years of my life at one of America's most prestigious arts conservatories (which shall remain anonymous) and can say without hesitation that this was BY FAR the most innovative 1A freestyle. (It's nice to actually be able to POST without fucking YYF blocking us.)
i sorta agree, its whoever the judges think is best, jensens style is really unique and idk what about it gets me drawn into it but whatever it is, its working, but jensen will always be my favorite, and i hope hes feeling better to make a return sometime this year
honestly all the other yoyoers are so fast it looks like they're on speed or something and I can't even see what they're doing cause it's just a blur. I like jensen Kimmit alot because he has so much flow and finesse and he's not focused on doing everything at light speed, he just performs flawlessly and that's that.
I revisit this performance at least once a year, and it's one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. My understanding is that the scoring is heavily weighted toward the number and type of trick, so his deliberate choice to slow everything down to the same pace cost him a bunch of points according to the rubrick the judges follow to make the playing field even. I haven't seen the score notes, and I wasn't there, so somebody please correct me if I'm wrong. I think his performance speaks for itself and was a great gift for people who love watching this stuff.
@@cornellouis I feel like yoyo contests went a bit downhill the more people realised how to abuse the system.. it's about artistic expression, not how many strings you can hit and how many body parts you can wrap the string around. I suppose art is very subjective at the end of the day though.
He purposely didn’t win. He didn’t use the whole three minutes. I was there. The judges said if he had simply kept pace for another twenty seconds he’d have won. I think ninth is pretty good for someone who went up there with zero intentions of winning.
xin chào ! tui là người việt nam...tui rất hâm mộ JESEN... I am a yoer in vn .... jesen is my idol,,,i love him..anh ấy đã rất là nổi tiếng cua team YYF... :X:X:X I.L.J.F
For english speakers who want to know what this means, here's a rough translation: "KIMMITT TAKES NINTH PLACE, WE'LL HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT!" To be honest, the more literal translation doesn't really make sense to me so I tried to make it more logical
@tur6o7414 He wasn't actually trying to win. He asked the audience not to cheer for him, and he only did 5/6 of a freestyle, but got 9th place. He could win any competition he wants to, and he chose not to to win this one. He just wanted to perform.
Ok, before I read another comment a out the music during the performance and want to blow my brains out, let's clear a few things up. First, if you haven't read already, Jensen requested the audience remain silent during the performance. It had nothing to do with the music or "vibes" he was sending off. This performance was exactly what I just called it, a performance. It was more of an expressive message, pay attention and analyze the music. Read up on your shit kids.
@deserteagles123 Technically, that's a "regen" and people count that as part of one throw. I think the way the judges score count it as one throw as well. But I agree, I think it isn't the same as calling it a single throw.
This is absolutely the most important freestyle in the history of 1A. I hope this video lives on forever.
Fantastic routine
The reason the crowd was silent was because he asked them to be
Best single throw you'll ever see.
Anyone here from beautiful anonymous?
I am
You realize that Jensen made this song right? His first goal is to be artistic, and THEN win contests.
Beautiful/Anonymous brought me here, and I could not be happier to have seen this. Absolute artistry.
I come back to watch and listen to this at least once a week. So mesmerizing and such a cool talented guy.
He was dancing with the yoyo. This Is pure art❤️
Goddammit Jensen Kimmitt is the best yoyoer ever
Chris Gethard sent me here. Not a world I know well but this is beautiful stuff

he didn't preform the whole 3 minutes.
also he handicapped himself points for crowd involvement by asking them to stay quiet.
TheCookieCrusader You're still alive? I thought you rotted 6 years back.
Why did you see a comment I made six years back? Tell me which one lmao.
TheCookieCrusader Alot of Comments topped with chocolate chips.
the single greatest freestyle in return top history
The best routine there has ever been. That's out of all props as well, in my opinion, not only yo-yos. The champ.
one of the most captivating and best performances by jensen. Please come for WYYC 2012~~~~
one of the smoothest freestyles of WYYC2011 :)
Still his best performance.

Before he got on stage he requested pure silence during his performance
he didn't even perform any horizontals, this is just very calm and artistic freestyle!!
So dope
he's chillin guys....
The song is Brhockolli you can download it in his soundcloud
he didn't record this part but Jensen told the audience to be completely silent through the whole performance.
For three throws, that was pretty awesome
+Anthony Guerreiro one throw, regens...

Jensen: What is a backup yoyo?
Ridiculous how he didnt get 1st. So smooth.
he didn't preform the full 3 minutes.
@tur6o7414 He wasn't actually trying to win. He asked the audience not to cheer for him, and he only did 5/6 of a freestyle, but got 9th place. He could win any competition he wants to, and he chose not to to win this one. He just wanted to perform.
@LesBob4 Yeah he did. It's called brhockolli and you can find it in his soundcloud page.
oh yea i wasnt thinking....
notice how he never brought the yoyo back to his hand fully during the performance
he got it on his pocket
he retired early this year.(according to his blog).damn it
That awkward moment when you realize its all on one throw.......
I remember JT knocking coins off friends ears for fun.
Fucking beautifull and artistic...
yoyo = love
not hate
Amen. This channel is blocked by YYF, and my other personal channel got blocked as well......
haha so true man. so true
he didn`t even touch the yoyo through the whole thing

@CodyWrightProject the funny thing is YYF has unlisted this freestyle
How does sound name on the background?
the crowd is so quiet
@Nikooe01 why he canceled his old account??
basically 1 throw, flawless, flowed really well, mix of simple and complex tricks, and still got 9th place......F*CK LOGIC
How does it get better again
Drop that shit, make sure you can't sit still. Shit's chill. It swills, sick as buttermilk nipple: it's ill.
wie heißt der trick bei 1:06 beginnt und bei 1:10 endet? wo er das yoyo mit einem looping durch die beine macht!
Jensen kimmitt-brhokoli
@Itachitobisaga well so does the other players too who came on the top 3

@deserteagles123 Technically, that's a "regen" and people count that as part of one throw. I think the way the judges score count it as one throw as well. But I agree, I think it isn't the same as calling it a single throw.
