tether looks decent to me.
@@tradito the depeg was around tethers pure Dollar backing so very easy to fix but nobody knows, what a big depeg over minutes would cause. We only know, that Tether does not want US to know how the biggest back position is spreaded. I can see the point of not showing what can harm your position - but the other side is that it is very scetchy or not existant.
@@leashau7817 I legit think they have the financial instruments they claim. Concern would be how fast they can liquidate in case bitcoin drops FAST for some catastrophic reason i.e. satoshi wallet moving or cybersecurity threat on the network
@@nowherenever1169 Well, sadly nobody knows becaue they dont even tell us what the claim is . They hired a firm to validate them, but terminated the contract because " They asked to many Papers ...." Papers when you have them legit , you should have no trouble to show ! .... sounds pretty fucking BAD. And when you make the connection that the WHOLE market depends on Thethers rise and them never beeing able to stabelize .... When it smells like a Ponzi/MLM it most likely is -.-
I dont care about any crypto at all i never checked --- but now as i have checked the Data ... Tether has NOT A SINGLE DAY on 1$ EVER!!! So my first argument for this one big depeg was false . They have no money at all to make Tether peg at 1$ .... and they even do not hide it at all. Its just crypto"bros" ignore it (very dangerous!) or (more likely) never check on it out of ignorance(very very reckless). When you can not Peg your stable coin to the Dollar --> you sadly absolutly dont have the backing you claim.

Hi Guys, thanks for all the great vids. Would it be possible to do avid on Defichain. It's founder is Julian Hosp. His passed is a bit sketchy but he sais he also was victim in the previous debacle of Lyoness.
Also the dusd is also an Algorithmic stablecoin, next to the dfi as it's native token. The liquid mining returns are slowly decreasing but some are still up by 80% apr. I tried to tell my friends to be careful since the dusd has depeged and is at 0.92-0.9 over the last week, but no one believes me.

Well, as of typing this, Tether is sitting at $0.98. It depegged.
I think the whole lot's going to collapse within a week or two.
I hope you look into Djed/Shen, Cardano's algorithmic stable coin created by COTI.
Many of the problems of algo stables are problems suffered by all algo stables

There is a Djed paper. It would be great to know if there is actually anything new there or not. I could read it and still not understand most of it. The more eyes, the better.

Keep up the good work. I think as we move through each quarter with rising rates. I think the animalistic behavior of hedge funds is going to cause contagion in the crypto world. They are going to try to push capital into less risky assets by exposing fraudulent financial spaces to save themselves.

Watching this with hindsight. I can appreciate how Brett kinda 95% felt like Luna was never going to re-peg and Cass moderated with a lil optimism and hope that the egregious moral hazard of a rapidly debasing stable hopefully wouldn’t happen 😂
The remaining funds they have include selling off any btc should be put into a token pool and distributed/airdropped to all luna holders. That way we get back something and prevents wasting what little they have on a dead project.
No. It should go to UST holders. Luna holders knew they were the dilution source for UST value
And they were the ones making governance decisions and deciding the way the protocol should function

there's a certain absurdity to crypto that is hard not to laugh at. like promising 18% returns on a financial investment is just unsustainable, it's completely obvious and yet people reply "that's FUD, have fun staying poor"
