Welcome Back! This is Matt and I love turning trash into CASH. It is Nacho Stuff but that doesnt mean someones trash can't equal cash. You see, many people have abandoned all kinds of random treasures and toss them into the trash. We take these lost valuables and figure out a way to make a buck from them. Sometimes it through resell, other times we might just scrap it. Either way, we are turning free stuff into cash. I prefer the curbside scene but occasionally find myself in a dumpster or two. Join me as I try to turn nothing into something.
I mostly consider myself a scrapper or repurposer of things that people have decided to discard. Some call it picking while others consider it a true treasure hunt. But at the end of the day, like most scrappers, I am trying to reduce our waste while lining my pockets a little in the process. Each piece of scrap metal, item of curbside treasure or piece of dumpster loot means one less piece going into our landfills and that makes me happy. My friend and I picked up scrap for 2 years April thru early Nov. we were both older ladies in our 60s. At that time the price of scrap metal was very high. We had truck, tractor and a flat bed. We had to buy security straps and other small tools we didn’t have access to. We had farm ditches, property that was junk covered. I think everyone thought we were cute and wouldn’t get very far or just wanted us to succeed. We picked up cars , engines, mowers ,freezers etc. The stuff you go for. One old farmer had an iron pile about 10 foot wide and ever bit 6 foot high. We made a deal we’d give him 20%. Took us 2 full days to pick ,up transport, and empty. His profit was little more than$700.00. Sold iron. One thing, we learned how the pyramids were built: rollers, leverage, pulleys and your back.After the end of those 2 yrs. Prices dropped and minor health issues showed up. But we made a little less than$ 10;000.00. I wouldn’t have traded that experience for anything,a complete challenge.

Hi Matt, your left side back tire on the trailer is smooth, you could have a blow out carrying a lot of weight.
It is next on the list to fix.
It's alot if work but gives you money and the stuff will be recycled and not going to a landfill and not decomposed . Great to keep our planet earth cleaner 😊

Dont know if u know this matt but the contol panel on top of ur washer/dryer/stove are usually aluminum it takes extra work but its worth it in my book but where 2 different people with different idea's so i wont judge u if u don't want to do that 25:18
Yeah I knew that. I have found that some of them arnt too though. I am also used to selling off my washers and dryers so I rarely take them apart. I might have to rethink that now that I dont have a reliable source.

I know you are exhausted when you get home , you need to invest in a dolly. I hope your saving for when your back gives out you might be ok now but later in life it will give out on you. Love your videos. I would have kept the bird bath / table pices they would have sold someone could have put glass , wood or something on them. Good luck but be careful.

Aluminum rake you could probably sell, it's a landscape rake, great for leveling soil. Jeff is wrong, the rake is not for concrete.
