The European teas are far better than North American teams because they have established leagues there. The first 10 teams are far better than 11th and 12th (Canada and US) but I hope that changes as the popularity of floorball rises in Canada. I know I'll be training and ready for the next one.
Oil Canada isn't that good at floorball like Northen Europe countries, but I think that Canada is improving very fast in floorball and soon enough they are going to be at the same level like Estonia and maybe even better
If you're from the Vancouver area I am opening a PAVEL BARBER SPORT LAB where we will be hosting 3 on 3 Floorball league games and tournaments. If ya wanna come play be sure to come out and follow the instagram @PavelBarberSportLab for more! Located in North Vancouver at 20 Orwell St.
One thing u do when u play floorball is u play it like it was hockey. Its not bad but floorball is a diffrent sport and dont get used to all the hockey plays if u play floorball! I hope u understands my bad english=)
There are far better players than I am out there. I appreciate the thought and your kindness, but I am not near that level. Haven't played serious competitive hockey in 6 years haha. I think these comments mostly come from young people, but I hope you understand that there are a lot of hard working young men out there who are way more deserving of this than I am. I am just an instructor. It's what I've always wanted to be, and it's what I love to do and I'm good at that. My role is to make those players better. It's a lot of fun!
i fell like canada plays a lot faster game than others, they run from end to end really quickly and from what i saw from these clips they got really fast players with the ball. they will get far with that i think
Yeah - we lack the structure and ball movement badly though. We're all trying to figure it out. A lot of guys hadn't played together or played that high a level before.
alex jokunen the thing is u can create a scoring chance whit that but if u get every body in position and pass it around u have a much better chance too find a hole in the defense
Pavel Barber yeah and i also wanted to ask what stick are you using and your toughts about it like should i get one? i have got a problem that i got many sticks but i really dont like any of them :D id much rather spend my money on a new stick than a new pc monitor for example
I'm from Sweden and i play floorball daily in my club. I think it's really fun and great to see other countries join the sport and making it bigger. In 10-20 years when the other countries also has established leagues and clubs, maybe. Just maybe can floorball actually be a sport which that you can live on (money).
@@dontknow4088 Ja men han är bäst i världen och är fortfarande inte "rik" på innebandyn som de flesta "bästa" i andra sporter. Men jag förstår va du menar
I have respect for someone who dares to play floorhockey in a country where ice-hockey is the leading sport, got respect for you! Here in Holland field hockey is really roaming but I somehow found myself playing rink bandy (there’s no real ice-hockey club near me :/)
i would like to see Canadian NHL players vs Team Canada floorball match. NHL players could casually train for summer and at the end of summer they would play best of 3 against each other
Depends on where you live. If you don`t have teams or leagues available, order a stick and a few balls an start shooting, stickhandling, passing etc. This sport is growing fast everywhere and there will be more and more teams.
I'm guessing that good ball control while running (with its up and down motion) really helps on-ice stick-handling while keeping the legs moving, yes? So many ice hockey players either stop moving their legs when stick handling, or slow down, or lose the puck when doing so. (By the way, I think I saw you on Rink 6 at 8-rinks today. My daughter was on Rink 5 for spring 4-on-4 and my son grabbed me to say, "I think Pavel Barber is next door shooting on goalies ...")
Yeah I think overall it helps. The aspect you're talking about can be trained on ice. Just needs to be reinforced and demanded from the coach/instructor to attempt the moves without stopping their feet. But of course in Floorball you can't glide so it forces you to be able to do both.
come to Finland sometime i am a goalkeeper and 11 years old. come to Finland to play Floorball i love your videos man they inspire me keep going 🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮
Canada on a world stage isn't big for the same reason USA isn't - the sport isn't nearly as popular here and we don't have regular leagues running to foster talent. I do believe that will change and I'm trying to change that as best I can. It is something new for me. Great learning experience. I will be much better at the next one.
Games were in Riga, Latvia. They did a horrible job promoting it unfortunately. However, for the final game (Sweden VS Finland) they sold out the big arena. Not many people want to watch the lower level teams (like Canada) play.
It was a pleasure to meet you at the WFC :)
FloorballToday He was at WFC??? I was there
2:23 those boards are amazing lol
What concerns me, is that you were losing 14-3 to Estonia
The European teas are far better than North American teams because they have established leagues there. The first 10 teams are far better than 11th and 12th (Canada and US) but I hope that changes as the popularity of floorball rises in Canada. I know I'll be training and ready for the next one.
Pavel Barber Ah ok, Well good luck in next year's tournament. Floorball looks really fun.
14-2 at one point :f .... just casually smoking them
Oil Canada isn't that good at floorball like Northen Europe countries, but I think that Canada is improving very fast in floorball and soon enough they are going to be at the same level like Estonia and maybe even better
Linards Mežals you know Estonia sucks at floorball?

Are you gonna open one in Toronto??
Pavel Barber sorry I'm from 🇺🇸 & I don't have a floorball stick cuz the only store I could find is in Texas which I'm in the NYC Tri-State Area
+FamilyGuyfan889
You can always order it
Pavel Barber yo

One of your best videos to date! Great job Pav!
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed.
Good job Pavs! Congratz on making it there and scoring some goals!
here's a question for you pavel, if the NHL decides to keep thier word on not allowing NHL players to compete, do you try out??
Will they even be holding tryouts though? I figured it'd just be CHLers and stuff like that.
Godscope Or players who play in EU who are canadian.... long list before pavel haha

Pavel Barber no Wizard wand to competition?
Good job pavel you did awesome you like went through them with passes
Holy Estonia
The Bardown Bender if they were playing against either Finland or Sweden it would've been in the 30s.
Don't know about 30s. Belgium kept Sweden to 22-0 in the qualifiers for this. And Canada are significantly better than Belgium
Chris Gladney but sweden beats Estonia with like 17-0 or something like that
Chris Gladney the swedish wimens defeated the netherlands with 55-0
Shane Jones Productions its funny to read comments where people mention estonia. I live here and only like 2%of North America knows about Estonia
So this is impressive af, nice work pavel
That's amazing good for u dude
floorball is so silly yet so dope
Have you ever thought that the team Canada could have a training camp in Finland? That would be amazing!
Aleksi Syrjänen Ei olis hassummpi idea. ;)

Are you an official pro in floorball??
I hope you will play in the 2018 world championship in the Czech Republic because i will be watching you. 😃
when a floorball team dont have enough players so they hire a hockey player xD
Sick Pav
Oh it was you there! I asked myself if it was you when I saw a guy with Barber on his shirt.
This looks like so much fun. I'd love to get involved. Not sure where floorball is an option but I would love to play. Any tips on starting out?
Depends on where you live. If you don`t have teams or leagues available, order a stick and a few balls an start shooting, stickhandling, passing etc. This sport is growing fast everywhere and there will be more and more teams.
Finland or Sweden will win 1st and 2nd anyways

Congrats man
never knew floorball was more related to soccer than hockey. Kind of has the soccer-like environment.
Not sure about that, if it was more like soccer Barber would not be the best on the team.
Sick goal bro
Good job buddy !!!
Make this video again with the footage from WFC 2018 in Prague
Aww, bummer, didn't know you played. Would have gone to watch the game. Greetings from Latvia! How did you like the city?
Canada is amazing in any sports. I am from Latvia.

U should join a league or more tournaments
Ayeeeeeee team Canada!
can you do a video with iguchi again?
Hi, Pavel! Why team Canada is in 12 place in IFF rank? Do you play floorball for Canada a long time or it is something new for you? Thank you!
Toomas Pasanen :)

You should do a stick collection video
Go Latvia!
Where can I buy your jersey?!
How were you chooseen for tryouts
The world football championships are the premier athletic event of the year. Still pretty cool tho
I saw you there😁
Pavel Barber you should play for the olympics of ice hockey
Is this like the second div. championship or what?
Games were in Riga, Latvia. They did a horrible job promoting it unfortunately. However, for the final game (Sweden VS Finland) they sold out the big arena. Not many people want to watch the lower level teams (like Canada) play.
Pavel Barber If I wouldn't have school, I would watch all games in arena. But I had school so I was watching all games online :D
How many games. Did u win
Yep
I didn't know your real name was Brandon
Is it just me or did you try to play floorball exactly like it was ice hockey lol.
