Mi Favorita Guitar Tutorial Part One. A bar by bar tutorial on how to play this beautiful piece of guitar music. Music and tabs available free from www.boltonguitar.co.uk. Online lessons available.
I hope you enjoy learning it as much as I do doing these tutorials. If you require any further help do not hesitate in contacting me. Greetings from the UK
This a beautiful lilting piece written by Anon. I first heard this piece on a album in the early eighties performed by the flamenco guitarist Juan Martine with an orchestra. Many of these pieces written by Anon often came with no fingering indication, leaving it to the guitarist to figure it out . Your suggestions are as good as any.
Glad I learned your harder tutorials like capricho arabe and study in e minor by sor. This is like a walk in the park in comparison! 🙂 Maybe it gets unexpectedly harder. It’s a sweet melody to learn and play. Thanks a lot Simon.
Dear Sir,🌷 Thanks for this excellent tutorial. It's the best Christmas gift from you. Thank you for your generosity!! I finally finished Gran Vals! Am I too slow?🤪 ✨🎄❄️✨❄️🎄✨❄️🎄✨🎄❄️ Merry Christmas!🎅 All your wishes come true! ✨🎄❄️✨🎄❄️✨🎄✨❄️🎄✨
That’s interesting. The only way I am able to play is to memorise the entire piece through muscle memory from repetition. If I stop midway through a piece I have to go back to the beginning to work through the memory again. Sight reading sounds like a great benefit
I use to play from memory years ago when I was doing guitar recitals. If you do play from memory you need to practice starting at different bars throughout the piecei If you need to go to the start after each slip it means that you don't really know the piece. You should be able to start at any bar so that when you do have a memory slip [ and we all do ] you can pick up the piece from anywhere in it. Give it a try.
Thank you so much! No one has taught me more songs than you do good sir!
Only to happy to help out.
Nobody has taught me more either! Thanks again. I'm on the last classical gas video. It's really coming together

Thank you Sir, now I'm encouraged!!😁
Simon do you have a string preference?
I use Savarez Alliance Corum medium tention or D'Addario EJ45
Lovely. How do you remember songs? Do you remember the notes or the position of fingers on the frets?
I rarely memorise the pieces I mainly sightread the score.
