Flipendo is your best spell against trolls. When they slam their club for u to protego, hit the button, don't hold to stupefy, and immediately use flipendo to knock the club into his head.

I’ll have to try that… usually I stick to glacius followed by diffindo, maybe bombarda is AM is not accessible. Thank you! Only time I typically use flippedo are with the puzzle pieces via the tombs like the waterfall one & of course Merlin trials.

There is a good reason why you can't access the Chamber of Secrets. First of all, you have to be like Ominous and Tom Riddle and be able to speak Parslemouth. Second, it was Tom Riddle that opened the Chamber of Secrets both times. Back in the 1940s (if I recall the decade correctly) and then again as a Horcrux in his diary by was of possessing Ginny Weasley in the 1990s. Each time the Chamber of Secrets was opened it released the basilisk.
Ominous never wants to do dark magic. You saw how he reacted even when thinking about speaking parslemouth. Plus the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets is in the girls bathroom. Why would Ominous being a boy would go in there? The only reason Harry, Ron and Hermione would hang out in that bathroom with no problem was because no one wanted to be near Moaning Myrtle who didn't die until the 1940s.
On top of all of that, the only person who defeated that basilisk is Harry Potter with the sword of Gryffindor that only a Gryffindor can get and use. All other students from other houses are out of luck. Sebastien would be dead on the spot the moment he laid eyes on the creature. And you would be dead too. What saved Harry is knowing what was in the Chamber of Secrets before he even entered thanks to the piece of paper he found in Hermione's hand when she got petrified. Harry knew not to look at the monster in the eye. Thar and Fawks the Phoenix gouging the snake's eyes out and the sword of Gryffindor saved Harry. And oh yeah, I almost forgot what else saved him. Phoenix tears. Mustn't forget that.

I mean, Basilisks have a pretty glaring vulnerability. Ginny had to kill all of Hagrids Chickens because you can drop even Salazar Slytherins centuries old pet snake with a common rooster. You don't need a Goblin-made Sword for it. And while it's true the sword only appeared in the hat for a "true gryffindor", it can be handled and wielded by someone who isn't a "true Gryffindor"; Snape hauls it around at one point.
It's also great fun how the game has an entire subplot completely told through the Daily Prophet headlines one can pick up in Hogsmeade, that tell the story of a crazy guy breeding Basilisks and Dragon-Chickens. Accidentally ofc. Happens to the best of us that a chicken egg slips under a toad.

As you mentioned about playing as other houses, only do videos showing the common rooms and the jackdaw quest to get to the map room as they are different for each house. that will get you trophies, but only do videos of this play through for the story cause as you sad it will take too long to do full play throughs for each house. Also the hunted shop in hogsmead is mission called minding your business and only comes unlocked when you have completed the second trial from the map room.
not being able to open the chamber of secrets makes sense because of 2 things, 1 ominus as the heir would've been the only one able to do it, and 2, the chamber had only been opened twice, the first time by Tom Riddle many years after this game is set.
Excellent, you already have the first unforgivable curse, Crucio!! I'll tell you 5 little facts.
¹ There is a purple shield goblin with an axe, when the goblin jumps to hit you with the ax use DECENDO and he will die in one fell swoop.
² There is an goblin who uses magic, for a moment he charges magic, at that moment when he is charging the power you must use BOMBARDA, so he will explode at once.
³ When large spiders (matriarchs) attack you with their fangs, use DECENDO, the spider will stick to the floor, thus the damage you cause will increase.
⁴ In Ashwinder's troops, there are sorcerers who make "ancient magic" lightning and fire tornadoes, when you see that he is activating his magic use EXPELLIARMUS, this way the spell will fall on the Ashwinder.
⁵ It is known that the inferi can only be damaged when they are on fire (confrigo or incendio), but if you wait for the right moment where the burning inferi is going to hit you and use BOMBARDA, the inferi will explode.

Awesome, another video and with Sebastian's quest at that!
1. As others already mentioned, the only things different for other Houses are the common rooms, the Jackdaw's quest, and some dialogue lines or a slightly changed attitude (e.g. Imelda is much nicer towards fellow Slytherins).
2. Keep checking your dueling feats challenge tab. If you maxed it out, there's no reward for completing them. Sure you can do those for your own satisfaction, but no point going out of your way for something annoying (like that Glacius Blast).
3. Check the number of your Demiguise Moons. As a reminder, the game won't tell you once you have enough unless you actively follow that quest. If it turns out you're just missing a couple it may be good to prioritise them. More and more areas on your journey will have level 3 locks that are typically optional, but still nice to grab the loot while you're there. Also, there's no statue behind the level 3 lock. It would be pointless considering you only need them for getting that tier 3 Alohomora. So double check Hogsmeade and Hogwarts for the missing ones. You definitely can loot all available Moons now.
4. I agree when it comes to clothing. The vast majority are merely alternative versions of the school uniform/cloak. Maybe a few good-looking ones and a lot that are just meh.
5. Not a hint just a piece of trivia. The Biscuit quest used to be cursed. You unlock Alohomora much sooner than you get that quest so it was common for the player to find Biscuit's cage earlier, unlock it and then the quest became impossible to finish as after taking the quest the cage reset but the lock did not. Eventually, they patched him, but the early players had to wait for it for a couple weeks without getting that full completion (you can only reach level cap by completing all challenge tabs, one being all side-quests).
6. Again, not a hint, but I just can't praise Sebastian's questline enough. One of the few moments in the game where you face actual moral dilemmas.
7. As for other playthroughs... have you considered streaming? Would be fun to chat with you in real time!

No, you can't do it with a broom anymore, they fixed that. I've tried. That guy that is talking is, was webbed and lying there, you freed him.

I have noticed that most males in their 1st run in this game. Go for the dark arts. What ever house their in. But the lady's. Not as much. Mostly when they play Slytherins. Seems everyone go's dark when the join Slytherins. Lol😂. Yes. Am useless at platform game..yes. I laughed, but I when you fell of. .. Lol😅. Good ending.. 👍

the haunted house in Hogsmeade is the best quest in the game in my opinion and you will enjoy it too!

When you do the other houses, I think you’ll enjoy the Ravenclaw common room, it has an outdoor balcony that you can fly to and from with your broom, once you unlock it with Alohomora.
Sebastian and Ominis sound like a married couple bickering back and forth, love them! 💕
Also, I checked online and it says The Haunted Shop Quest lasts about 50 minutes (no side quests), that quest alone can be a video all on it's own. As always, W playthrough 💕
I actually was planning on having the haunted quest be all one video so that’s perfect!

The way Ominis panics when you get hurt by Crucio and he asks if you are alright, he knows. He knows how it feels to have that pain and he is almost desperate, hoping you that you are okay after it. My heart always breaks each time I play through this and hear his panicked voice 😭
That Merlin Trial with the very small pillars that you have to jump is the bane in my side. That one Merlin Trial is the only one you can't use a broom to complete. All the other ones that look like stone henges you can use a broom. It's the only Merlin Trial that I still can't complete because it is so hard to control the jumping. I am about to finish the game soon and yet I am still having a ton of issues completing that Merlin Trial. LOL! 🤦♀️😆

The only way you’re gonna go to Azkaban is if you’re gonna play as a Hufflepuff.. so you have to go through the whole story until you do that Jack mission to find the headless. So you’re gonna have to do a play through as a Hufflepuff if you’re gonna do that.

First of all, another great video man. I never want this series to end. Secondly, the way you talk about your mother makes me believe you're a great person and a great son. I'm 31 years old and my mom is my best friend, and I never feel shame in saying that. And lastly, I know this is a ways out, but maybe once you're finished with the playthrough we could do a HP movie watch party on Discord or something, maybe throw a poll on your TH-cam and we could vote on which one. Yeah that’s weird bc I sold all items that I didn’t need and I came back but it didn’t let me open it.. I guess restarting the game prob would’ve helped
Glad to see that you are using your herbology plants during battle. A lot of players think they are useless or just forget about them. Everyones play style is different, but I find that the best way to play is to utilize all of your resources. You should use the Thunderbrew potion especially when you are surrounded by enemies.You're also completing the dueling feats which makes the games a lot more fun since you have an objective outside of just defeating enemies. You are definitely playing this game the right way and us viewers can tell you are having a blast. My favorite part of watching you play is when you try and and go stealth and get caught; mainly because that was always my approach as well and I always ended up getting spotted.
You have explored a lot outside of Hogwarts, You should definitely explore more of the castle. The school has a bunch of secret rooms and hidden puzzles that are really fun. They can be a bit frustrating but its worth it and I think you would really enjoy them. I believe they are Ravenclaw challenges/puzzles,; so that will give you an idea of how mind boggling they can be. While exploring the castle, You should search for the entrances for each house. You have walked past the Slytherin common room a couple of times in past videos. You were near the Hufflepuff common room a couple of videos back, but I don't recall you ever going anywhere near the Ravenclaw common room.

37:12 - fun fact: For this trial you CAN NOT use the broom - it resets if you mount your broom. But for most of the other ones (the broader stones that almost look like stairs) it would work...but as you´ve mentioned, it makes it boring.

Hell yeah!! time for the-best-questline-in-the-game-that-should've-been-the-main-one-thus-longer-and-darker! Really, I like the Almost A Hero's Journey main quest (there's no refusal step though 😂), but in my opinion it just lacks in excitement, especially after getting to know more of Sebastian and Omnis' friendship and backstory -- even though Sebastian's sister Anne ties their quest to ours. -- and more so after starting the Salazar quest. I have humongous hopes for Hogwarts Legacy 2 😭
I always have a supply of Thunderbrew potions. It's extremely useful when you're in the middle of a group. It strikes the enemies around you with lightning.
Don't use Glacius on beasts! I told you before. Use Levioso! Glacius harms them but not Levioso.
Hi, just wanted to say that I have been loving watching your playthrough of this game! I have a character for each house and love roleplaying as them (but in my heart I'm a Ravenclaw! lol) I have been wanting to get back into the game but I'm in the middle of another game, so watching these videos has been an awesome way to play vicariously through you!
Just a bit of advice I wanted to give: I would recommend checking out the enemies section in the collections part of the field guide. It actually gives some good tips on special moves and methods for defeating each enemy, which in turn will help you hit more of those duelling feats. Not necessary of course as you're doing so well without it! Love your work and I'm also looking forward to you hitting winter in the game! It's so beautiful!
Well, you might find it funny to do a different play-through if you make other choices ( being an evil student, or not to use unforgivable spells for example), if you put together a different set of talents, or if you try diverse combat-stile (plants over spells, stealth+ petrificus over a fight, etc). Common rooms are beautiful, but just one part of the main story is completely different for every house, so one has to invent a strategy not to get bored.
Another great video! Your R0r is looking well set up and it is nice to see you using your plants and potions while fighting. Very few people seem to bother with them, but you can see they are fun to use.
I would say that runs of the other houses is too much, but i think everyone can agree that showing off the common rooms and dedalian key cloaks is worth a vid. Also the quest to meet jackdaw is different for every house, so that would also be good for a vid.
I used to dislike a lot of the cosmetics, but on my second playthrough I played around with some and found that some of them are actually really cool!

good that all beasts are so durable, I hit them few times as well. But my favourite "evil" moment is when I put niffler to swamp vivarium, and it started to drown in the water.

Another tips after watching your video
Glacious blast meaning you should cast glacious and then cast basic spell/ bombarda. It will look like you explode ice/iceberg
You can check how many demiguise moons required for the next Alohomora spell level by checking Mr Moon quest on your quest logs

It might just be a game glitch, re-start your game and go back to the bag and chest and you may be able to get inside of them.
Herbology iii trait added to all gear, then the Chinese chomping cabbage talent in the room of req skill tree. Absolutely OP!! I know you wanna focus on using spells more, but that is cool to invest in as a “saving grace” move when you’re overwhelmed. If your character feels like the one to use dark arts powers, skill tree investments in the crucio multi curse and Avada to kill all cursed enemies is enough without having to use traits on gear. It makes you an unstoppable killing machine, with demon cabbages as your minions! 😂

I'm still laughing a lot about that spider! The women's restroom near the Slytherin common room is the famous entrance to the Chamber of Secrets. I'd love for you to explore that place; you'll soon find the ghosts' ballroom! Another excellent video! 😊

Loved the vid as always. Now for the advice:
Glacius blast is a really annoying one. You the need the talent for it, which you have, but it only works if you basic cast them when frozen. This makes the talent essentially useless, because glacius doubles the damage from spells, so it’s best to use with either diffindo or incendio, not wasting it with basic cast. HOWEVER, to complete the duelling feat, you will need to glacius an enemy, then basic cast them so that the glacius bast hits other enemies around them.

You can transfigurate enemies to a barrell and then throw it agains anither enemigos and it explodes. Really fun too see ♡♡

One interesting dilemma that sebastian's qustline brings up:
For a non-dark wizard, is it worse to be the victim of an unforgivable curse or the caster?
For me, I would rather be the target than cast them myself. I could never be of the mindset to wish someone harm or death that is required to cast the spells. Even if I could, I would regret it forever.
I dunno; Crucio must be pretty bad but /because/ of that I actually think it's pretty hard to cast. I've never tortured anyone or been tortured, so I lack a reference frame; how would I even cast a spell if I can't visualize the amount of pain I'm trying to inflict? Doubt I'd be able to crucio someone without having been crucio'ed first. Otherwise I'd just end up giving someone the equivalent of mediocre PMS.

When the game first came out it had a bug where you lose the chest loot if your gear slots are full. They fixed it after a couple weeks so I’m sorry that’s happening. Maybe see if there is an update? I’m not tech smart so I’m not much help
I think if I were to of restarted the game it probably would’ve fixed it. I’ll have to go back to that area and see if I can loot it now
@@JxStn. for me it was only the big chests that have the gold legendary items but the first update for me fixed it and i haven’t had a problem for over a year so i hope that helps. You’re videos rock it’s my favorite game and i finally 100% it a couple months ago on a replay

But, by reading the letters, you can know the side stories/lores of the characters or something or anything in the game. It is also quite fascinating if you find any Harry Potter references or trivia on those letters. So I don't mind he reads all the letters

As for the thing about the different houses, the only differences are you get to see the different common rooms (which is cool for fans), and the jackdaw quest. Other than that sadly the rest of the game is exactly the same
And yeah, the sink for the chamber of secrets entrance is in the game as you say. But it actually makes perfect sense you cant access it in this game as canonically the chamber was never found and opened until tom riddle went to the school. It would really throw a wrench into the timeline if the basalisk was let out too early. Also dunno if you know this part, but tom riddle found the entrance because he is actually from the gaunt family just like ominus, and like they said only the gaunts know about slytherin's secrets in hogwarts

Yeah I understand the whole timeline thing it does make sense.. I just wish the game let you explore it freely that would’ve been really cool
@@SovereignSymphony it's not the number of quests per se, it's just Jackdaw's quest is longer for some Houses than others. Other than that the number of quests is exactly the same for everyone.
