Yall should make a ditch witch version for residential/smaller companies, plus I feel like this thing will be quite the investment and no one will know how to service it. Thoughts on it being user friendly to maintain?
But the debris from the stump grinder are much finer than from Dipperfox, plus where is the price comparision? I guess, that the stump grinder is more than three times cheaper than Dipperfox and it doesn't need a tractor/excavator to work.
You're comparing a brand new $80k USD plus machine with almost 60hp to a used $20k stump grinder with 25hp. That's like comparing a Ford F-550 to a Chevy 1500. It's not the same speed or power. A comparable hp grinder would blow that out of the water. The dipperfox has its place. But this video is not apples to apples.
Thanks for your comment! You are right, comparing the purchasing values of these sets, these two machines have a very different price tags. But overall it doesn't make big difference, as we have compared SC400 with disc grinder, attached to the almost identical carrier and the outcome was the same th-cam.com/video/tjqHKKOMMHc/w-d-xo.html. There were two reasons we have chosen to compare it with self-propelled grinder: 1) this is the most common platform, the landscapers are using today for stump removal 2) 90+% of landscapers already own some kind of loader or excavator, to power Dipperfox.
This is very impressive. Thank you for this presentation
