I have 2k16 and it's really hard to learn but I wanna get into NBA and basketball figured I could start playing that game and get better. I wanna get 2k17 later but I'm so bad!!! Like Fifa for example it's easy to learn X = Pass, O = Shoot, Square = Cross and thats basically all you need to know (while then adding more complex stuff later on top of that). But with 2k I feel it's really hard because just the basic is hard. You need to like hold the right stick in curtain directions to do stuff and it's so much in depth.... just to dunk u need to run and click RS while holding it in a direction (thats just for the dunk, imagine learning to dribble before that too for a beginner!). plus the moment is really hard to learn like how you should position yourself to get open to shoot.
Just speechless,I bought the game not knowing anything about Basketball, NBA, first ever time playing any NBA/Basketball related game was struggling and this has just propelled my into Mycareer thanks.

Drop a sub and check out my other stuff! :) For PG's I don't normally play them but I think the most important thing is to wait for open looks and not force shots when someone is guarding you. Max your outside shooting as soon as possible, and in MyCareer you can call for a pick with L1. Calling for picks will put an obstacle in the way of your defender, often times leading to an open look as you dribble to the right or left. Try to switch up the location of your 3's and mix in some 2-pointers...if you're hitting a lot of 3's the game will make it harder for you to continue hitting them consistently. It's best to just take open shots and don't force yourself into doing only one thing.

Downloaded this but just havent a clue. Watched the really brief tutorial videos on the game but this video is what I needed. Defence is a struggling when I tried to jump in and play. I immediately turned it off and thought well i'll never play that again. Going to give it another chance thanks to this video. Just so many of the simple things I just don't know what to do.
I am shit at defending, they can always run through my defense and the support comes always too late. have you tips to defense more compact and in 1 block?

There's only so much you can do by yourself and you have to trust teammates. If you go to help play defense on their guy, it often gives up an open look for 3 points or a dunk, etc. A lot of people spam triangle to block too much and get beat while doing the animation--so make sure you aren't pressing it unless you're totally sure they're shooting! :)

The standard controls are allright; pass, "block", shoot etc. But im getting my ass kicked (usually just tried quick matches untill now). How do i learn to defend and other basic stuff. I'm feeling stuck. tips?
I know on ps4 when playing defense I press/tap L2 a lot, it will sort of pull you to the player you are guarding. When they dribble outside to get past you, let go of L2 and run in front of them, then press L2 again to defend closely again. This really helped me a lot, and lay off turbo! :)
VC is the ingame currency. You earn it by playing games in mycareer, mypark, even exhibition. And you're on point: you spend VC on clothes/attributes/other things that you want but don't currently have. :)
i have on PC using xbox usb controller was wondering how i play my second person i created.. every time i log in it goes to 1st person i created but i cant figure out how to play my second character
when you are in mycourt (practice court), go to your options, select attributes, and use the VC (that you earn winning MyCareer and MyPark games) and buy the "bars" under which area you'd like to upgrade!
yeah unfortunately it's incredibly difficult to dunk at 6'. Most players are much taller and unfortunately I dont think you can transfer stats. If you made someone 6'7 or taller I'm sure you'll be dunking like a madman! :)
I'm assuming its because the game hasn't full downloaded. Usually when I download games and they aren't complete they don't allow you to go into multiplayer/story mode/ etc. Hope this helps! Why can't I dunk? I have a 6 foot man and I'm 80 overall but why can't I dunk and if I start over do I loss all the stats or can I transfer them?
