    Button Shy is amazing. I hope I had them easily accessible near me. I almost always have a wallet in my pocket or purse or back pack. My favourites are Food Chain Island, Rove and Fishing Lessons at this point I think. But I love most that I have.

    Dang it, guys, I just dropped like $150 during the Button Shy Gamefound campaign, and now I have a couple more for my next order!
    So far Skulls, Sprawl, and Rove are my Top 3, but I'm excited to try out Numbsters and The Walking Dead.

    I'm a big fan of SpaceShipped, which is a solo only game where you are completing contracts and upgrading your ship. The market shifts, so timing and planning ahead is key. As you said, Buttonshy games pack a lot of punch in a small package.

    Skulls is great. I think Food Chain Island is my most played. I also enjoy Ragemore as a super stripped-down dungeon crawl. Death Valley is charming and crushes with its design.

    Button shy games are so good, but seem difficult to get your hands on. They seem to always be sold out directly from their page, and I don't know any stores that sell their games (including board gaming stores)

    Been supporting buttonshy via their patreon for about a year now, I carry a wallet or two with me everywhere I go. Things like in vino morte or skulls of sedlec are brilliant pub games, had some great tussie mussie or circle the wagon games in the pub too and solo games like unsurmountable, rove or spaceshipped are awesome to pull out and kill some time whilst waiting for your mate.

    Currently I keep ROVE and Ancient Realm on my desk at work for when I need a quick break, but Skulls is probably my wife and I's most played Button Shy, it is very fun and easy and I just ordered all of the expansions from the gamefound campaign. I also ordered Numbsters which sounds like a great solo game that i'm excited to try!

    Haven’t really gotten into button any games. I think my problem is that I forget that I own them because they are in a random drawer. I’m a simple man. I need a huge colorful box to smack me in the face and remind me to play

    Great video. Two perspectives on 'how cheap they are'. First £10 or $12 is cheap, benefits are 10-20 mins play, put in pocket, low storage needs ... they are cool. But 3 of these buys you a very good mid-weight game with much stronger production values, more complex mechanisms etc. If you buy 3 expansions for these then you end up with about 35-40 cards, no board, no counters etc and limited mechanisms for £30 - $40, that is bad value. So in context it's about having several short fun games vs having a single somewhat heavier game. They are lovely to collect and have a place in my collection of games - I have about 8 of them.

    • @samirjafri191
      @samirjafri191 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The expansions cost $1 - $3 so your math is off. Also, you can PnP these full games for $1 to $3.

    • @lmaoroflcopter
      @lmaoroflcopter 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      As above. Your costings are way off. They're usually 1 to 4 quid for an expansion. 10 quid will usually get you an expansion set (so 3-4 expansions in one pack)

    • @stevekingswell9143
      @stevekingswell9143 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@lmaoroflcopter @samirjafri191 I think my post wasn't clear, my bad. 3 games = $36 plus 3 expansions lets add just $4 = $40 for perhaps cards 18 x 3 = 52 plus 3 x 3 cards for the expansion = 9 cards totalling 61 cards. (My maths was off sorry). But with this you have no board, no chits, no money, meeples etc. So just saying when I add up the cost of say the Sprawlopolis / Agropolis / Combopolis set I get a portable game that is quite expensive for the production values. It's a fact though that nothing in small print runs and modular sizes cost the same as bigger production run games, and we all accept that. I am not saying they are a bad buy, just not really that cheap from a 'content/production' point of view.
