I had the same feeling bout Asamis singing first. Then someone told me to listen to "Epilogue", "Edge of the world" and "Empty Daydream", and since then i really started to love Asami much more and have also no problems anymore with how she sings in the pure powermetal songs.

@@jandshy Don't mind the backlash. Asami's awesome, but there are people who don't like her voice. Usually those same people end up loving her voice, but I still hear from a few who say the band's great but they don't like the vocals. It happens. This is common when a lot of Westerners hear Japanese singers for some reason. Mary's Blood get the same comments, "like the band, don't like the vocals", Aldious gets the same comments, etc. Then again, I could never get into Guns 'N' Roses because I couldn't stand Axl Rose's voice. People got ANGRY when I said I didn't like the vocals. Like, HOW DARE YOU?? And then they'd try to convince me that he has a 7-octave range and blah blah blah, and I'm sure he does and he's very talented and all that, but I still don't like his voice because we don't all like the same things and the world would be pretty boring if we did.
Their singer, Asami, comes from an R&B singing background. They are perhaps the best heavy metal band on the planet. LOVEBITES auditioned her when they first formed and they wanted someone with a very non-typical heavy metal voice so they could expand their repertoire. I understand she was also trained in dancing, perhaps classical or ballet. Lovebites fans will be invading your channel as they are growing increasingly in popularity. You might get a better sound to hear if you invest in some good headphones. I notice that the bands sound way more impressive to me if I listen to them with my headphones instead of my ear phones. You will learn to love Asami's voice if you give her some more time and you realize that they are not trying to sound like every other band. Sometimes it's good to think a little outside the box and allow bands to do a few things a different way. Not every metal band has to have a big male sweating and growling like a wounded bear. Asami has an absolutely fantastic voice and it works perfectly with the band.
Well said. Asami doesn't growl or scream (except on Painkiller!) but she doesn't need to. I can only stomach a little bit of growling anyway. I much prefer her beautiful voice and the high notes she hits and sustains.
Nope, they need to first check out their slower songs (Epilogue, Empty Daydreams, Edge of the world) to get more used to Asamis voice. After that they can listen to the heavier stuff or whatever else since they now love Asami much more 😉
They have some really thrash stuff too. They're like a mix of Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Dragonforce. Check out Break the wall set the world on fire, thunder vengeance, and hammer of wrath for thrash. If you want the piano watch swan song or frozen serenade if it's still on TH-cam.
I'm so regretful that A Frozen Serenade has been taken down from UTube. That is so unique and beautiful piece, it's out of metal genre. many say Lovebites sounds like Slayer, Judas Priest, or Megadeath too which means they just inherited DNA from all the great bands of metal golden ages of 80s and 90s. They also heavily influenced by composers of romantic era classic music, such as Rachmaninov, Chopin, Dovolzark, Beethoven. It is the reason they have unique sound, they are carrying authentic metal in 21st century style.
Metal is not about grinding your voices, its all about balance. Asami is matching with the guitar tone n the music heaviness or speed. The next question is...how about ozzy..😁. Anyway the Lovebites are the refresher of heavy/thrash/power metal music. I love them.....🤘🤘🤘.

Asami (singer) was especially picked by Miho (bass) the band founder with Haruna (drums) for the sound they wanted. Asami was a R&B & Jazz singer and did not know Metal. This song was written, music and lyrics, by Miho. All write songs with Miyako (1st solo) writes about half the music with Asami writing most of the lyrics. I hate it when people who hear Lovebites for the first time always claim they sound like Dragonforce, if and when you do more of these amazing ladies you will eventually eat your words. They toured with Dragonforce a couple of years ago and saw they just got their butt whooped and bowed down and hailed the ladies with great honor and respect. Yeah yeah that is what most people say when they hear Asami for the first time, guess what you are so wrong about her voice doesn't fit this style. hopefully, you get to hear just how versatile and diversified she is as well as the many styles they play
I would rather hear people say Dragonforce instead of Metallica. Metallica would never want to follow these ladies on stage, but they would be a decent opening band for LOVEBITES.
Iron Maiden fans say Iron Maiden, and slyer, Priest, Megadeath, Pantera, Sabaton, Metallica.....they say every thing. Those guys want such a great band like Lovebites is under influence of their favorite band which is quite silly. Lovcebites has more than those great ancestors. They are metal of 21st century. It is just like Beetles got heavy influences from rock'n role in 50s but they really weren't. Aha additionally, I think is is relevant to refer all the influences to explain their footage, how Lovebites has become Lovebites.
Very true, although many reactors, like J and Shy did, try to compare Lovebites to bands they know. DragonForce is well known for their speed and shredding and from being on Guitar Hero. Midori and Miyako do play fast and shred, so it is an easy comparison. But Lovebites is so much more than that! Miyako plays with soul on Break the Wall, Edge of the World, Liar, and Epilogue. Midori does as well on Epiogue and Frozen Serenade and others. I haven't seen DF do that. Plus Lovebites has emptional ballads that bring you to tears. I haven't seen DF do that, or most of the legendary bands either. Lovebites is very diverse and should not be labelled as just a power metal band. Sure, SOME of their songs sound like power metal, but many do not.

Yeah, this band has really grown on me since I stumbled upon their music clips a week and a half ago. Lots of influences here: in addition to the obvious (and technically proficient) thrash-metal, you've got components of glam rock from the 80s, hints of progressive metal (think Dream Theater) and some classical music elements courtesy of Miyako's music background. The diva Asami lends more of a musical theater style of singing, like Broadway belt or rocked-out Barbra Streisand, than growling grunge. It speaks to her versatility, but you definitely don't expect it any more than you'd expect a quintet of ladies dressed like Dracula's brides to kick ass. I do wish their music was a little less formulaic, but their fans might turn on them like, well, a pack of wolves. Here's hoping for some fresh energy after a short hiatus!

Lovebites winners for best new band in 2018 by Metal Hammer and win their invitation to the most important festival the Wacken in Germany. Recognized in 2020 by the most prestigious magazine in metal as the fastest growing band with 320% from 2019 - 2020. Their first Lovebites album is rated better than Dragonforce's entire discography. Whether they like Asami's voice is a matter of taste, but she is not the first metal band with a pop or opera type singer, Nightwish (the biggest symphonic metal band has the number 1 female vocalist in metal, Floor Jansen), Epica, Amaranthe, Whitin Temptation and hundreds of other bands manage this style.
Anyway when you said about Dragon Force. Lovebites has been tour together with them. And when you said trivium. The singer of trivium has been singing cover song from Lovebites called "Epilogue" on him channel.
Lovebites is great. Only discovered them in 2021. Their song "Thunder Vengeance" from this same concert is awesome. The breakdown is headbanging fantastic. You should check out another all female Japanese band called Band Maid. They are more of a rock band than metal. Their MVs are great but they really shine in a live setting. Funny that you should mention Dragonforce, he sings almost as high !! Lots of amazing Japanese all female bands so try Band Maid , Nemophila and Gacharic Spin.
Sadly you will have a bit of a wait as the bass player and founding member Miho has announced she is done the project and they are on hiatus. Looking at some other things you have reacted to and your comments you might like Nemophila (bit of an all woman super group), Show Ya (veteran women of Japanese metal), Unlucky Morpheus lots of sword and pentagram with violin, Band Maid might float your boat but, while every song is good there is no one sound for that band.
Only a hand full of people who react to this song ever show any facial response or say anything to a bass player finger tapping in a song, your not one of them. I refer watching reactions when a female is reacting because they show more facial expression when first hearing a band. But I see no expression any either one of your faces. I don't expect you to go crazy since when I see it it is mostly fake. But when you look like to bumps on a log who look like your looking at nothing in front of you I have to give a thumbs down

I had the same feeling bout Asamis singing first. Then someone told me to listen to "Epilogue", "Edge of the world" and "Empty Daydream", and since then i really started to love Asami much more and have also no problems anymore with how she sings in the pure powermetal songs.

LOVEBITES is a relatively new metal band formed in 2017 by leader Miho (base), but they made their major debut only half a year after the first stage, and before the pandemic, they mainly worked in Japan / UK / EU. was doing. @@jandshy Don't mind the backlash. Asami's awesome, but there are people who don't like her voice. Usually those same people end up loving her voice, but I still hear from a few who say the band's great but they don't like the vocals. It happens. This is common when a lot of Westerners hear Japanese singers for some reason. Mary's Blood get the same comments, "like the band, don't like the vocals", Aldious gets the same comments, etc. Then again, I could never get into Guns 'N' Roses because I couldn't stand Axl Rose's voice. People got ANGRY when I said I didn't like the vocals. Like, HOW DARE YOU?? And then they'd try to convince me that he has a 7-octave range and blah blah blah, and I'm sure he does and he's very talented and all that, but I still don't like his voice because we don't all like the same things and the world would be pretty boring if we did.

LOVEBITES auditioned her when they first formed and they wanted someone with a very non-typical heavy metal voice so they could expand their repertoire. I understand she was also trained in dancing, perhaps classical or ballet. Lovebites fans will be invading your channel as they are growing increasingly in popularity. Everyone is anxiously awaiting their return from hiatus.

The takeaway from for you guys is, English isn’t their first language. They all rocked it.
You might get a better sound to hear if you invest in some good headphones. I notice that the bands sound way more impressive to me if I listen to them with my headphones instead of my ear phones. You will learn to love Asami's voice if you give her some more time and you realize that they are not trying to sound like every other band. Sometimes it's good to think a little outside the box and allow bands to do a few things a different way. Not every metal band has to have a big male sweating and growling like a wounded bear. Asami has an absolutely fantastic voice and it works perfectly with the band.

Well said. Asami doesn't growl or scream (except on Painkiller!) but she doesn't need to. I can only stomach a little bit of growling anyway. I much prefer her beautiful voice and the high notes she hits and sustains.

Nope, they need to first check out their slower songs (Epilogue, Empty Daydreams, Edge of the world) to get more used to Asamis voice. After that they can listen to the heavier stuff or whatever else since they now love Asami much more 😉

They have some really thrash stuff too. They're like a mix of Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Dragonforce. Check out Break the wall set the world on fire, thunder vengeance, and hammer of wrath for thrash. If you want the piano watch swan song or frozen serenade if it's still on TH-cam.
I'm so regretful that A Frozen Serenade has been taken down from UTube. That is so unique and beautiful piece, it's out of metal genre. many say Lovebites sounds like Slayer, Judas Priest, or Megadeath too which means they just inherited DNA from all the great bands of metal golden ages of 80s and 90s. They also heavily influenced by composers of romantic era classic music, such as Rachmaninov, Chopin, Dovolzark, Beethoven. It is the reason they have unique sound, they are carrying authentic metal in 21st century style.

Asami (singer) was especially picked by Miho (bass) the band founder with Haruna (drums) for the sound they wanted. Asami was a R&B & Jazz singer and did not know Metal. This song was written, music and lyrics, by Miho. All write songs with Miyako (1st solo) writes about half the music with Asami writing most of the lyrics.

Lovebites is back, with a new fantastic bassist, and a slightly different sound. There are two videos out with the new Lovebites. "Judgement Day" and "Stand and deliver". Both are very good. Both are studio recordings. The second one is totally different. It is more trash than power metal do those say that knows what those two genres mean. And in the one they all sing. Personally I am more fond of their live recordings, but those two recordings are good.

with an r&b background ASAMI can sing, this song hooked me on lovebites forever, give some other songs a listen, edge of the world, is a power ballad check it out. and as gh said wolfpack loves her. wolfpack for life.
I hate it when people who hear Lovebites for the first time always claim they sound like Dragonforce, if and when you do more of these amazing ladies you will eventually eat your words. They toured with Dragonforce a couple of years ago and saw they just got their butt whooped and bowed down and hailed the ladies with great honor and respect. Yeah yeah that is what most people say when they hear Asami for the first time, guess what you are so wrong about her voice doesn't fit this style. hopefully, you get to hear just how versatile and diversified she is as well as the many styles they play
I would rather hear people say Dragonforce instead of Metallica. Metallica would never want to follow these ladies on stage, but they would be a decent opening band for LOVEBITES.
Iron Maiden fans say Iron Maiden, and slyer, Priest, Megadeath, Pantera, Sabaton, Metallica.....they say every thing. Those guys want such a great band like Lovebites is under influence of their favorite band which is quite silly. Lovcebites has more than those great ancestors. They are metal of 21st century. It is just like Beetles got heavy influences from rock'n role in 50s but they really weren't. Aha additionally, I think is is relevant to refer all the influences to explain their footage, how Lovebites has become Lovebites.
Very true, although many reactors, like J and Shy did, try to compare Lovebites to bands they know. DragonForce is well known for their speed and shredding and from being on Guitar Hero. Midori and Miyako do play fast and shred, so it is an easy comparison. But Lovebites is so much more than that! Miyako plays with soul on Break the Wall, Edge of the World, Liar, and Epilogue. Midori does as well on Epiogue and Frozen Serenade and others. I haven't seen DF do that. Plus Lovebites has emptional ballads that bring you to tears. I haven't seen DF do that, or most of the legendary bands either. Lovebites is very diverse and should not be labelled as just a power metal band. Sure, SOME of their songs sound like power metal, but many do not.

Yeah, this band has really grown on me since I stumbled upon their music clips a week and a half ago. Lots of influences here: in addition to the obvious (and technically proficient) thrash-metal, you've got components of glam rock from the 80s, hints of progressive metal (think Dream Theater) and some classical music elements courtesy of Miyako's music background. The diva Asami lends more of a musical theater style of singing, like Broadway belt or rocked-out Barbra Streisand, than growling grunge. It speaks to her versatility, but you definitely don't expect it any more than you'd expect a quintet of ladies dressed like Dracula's brides to kick ass. I do wish their music was a little less formulaic, but their fans might turn on them like, well, a pack of wolves. Here's hoping for some fresh energy after a short hiatus!

Lovebites winners for best new band in 2018 by Metal Hammer and win their invitation to the most important festival the Wacken in Germany. Recognized in 2020 by the most prestigious magazine in metal as the fastest growing band with 320% from 2019 - 2020. Their first Lovebites album is rated better than Dragonforce's entire discography. Whether they like Asami's voice is a matter of taste, but she is not the first metal band with a pop or opera type singer, Nightwish (the biggest symphonic metal band has the number 1 female vocalist in metal, Floor Jansen), Epica, Amaranthe, Whitin Temptation and hundreds of other bands manage this style.

Lovebites is great. Only discovered them in 2021. Their song "Thunder Vengeance" from this same concert is awesome. The breakdown is headbanging fantastic. You should check out another all female Japanese band called Band Maid. They are more of a rock band than metal. Their MVs are great but they really shine in a live setting. Sadly you will have a bit of a wait as the bass player and founding member Miho has announced she is done the project and they are on hiatus. Looking at some other things you have reacted to and your comments you might like Nemophila (bit of an all woman super group), Show Ya (veteran women of Japanese metal), Unlucky Morpheus lots of sword and pentagram with violin, Band Maid might float your boat but, while every song is good there is no one sound for that band.

Only a hand full of people who react to this song ever show any facial response or say anything to a bass player finger tapping in a song, your not one of them. I refer watching reactions when a female is reacting because they show more facial expression when first hearing a band. But I see no expression any either one of your faces.
