These women work so hard I dont think there is another sport where the camera catches the faces of the participants as closely as pole vaulting. You see their happiness or heartbreak after each vault. Just one jump would wear out the average person. These women are there to win.wish they could all take home the gold. I hope they are all well compensated for their efforts.
I used to love seeing the dramatic arm swoops over the bar. What I have really come to admire is Anzhelika Sidorova's way of retracting both her arms quietly back and away from the bar as she clears. I believe that is why she's come so far over the past five or six years and topped 5m. I also see a couple other vaulters experimenting with the move but only with their leading arm.
if all entrants were tested,i take my hat off to moser👍 for being consistent.my preference was shuk,but the podium athletes had their personal best,congrats✌️.my heart goes out to polak,on that bad fall.i hope she gets to rehab and compete in the olympics.☑️.following in the philippines🇵🇭.
I think moser is a great player, the game is not easy for her, but after so many failures, can still see her ambition and enthusiasm,and these finally took her to victory.The final 4.75 meters made me unconsciously pray for her and hope that she would win the championship.And she did it!!

Spirited performances by the top two ladies - very well done! Holly appeared to be lighter, fitter, and performing using a a sounder technique. Once she has grooved in her adjustments she will do very well as her potential is now significantly better.
Really great battle for Angelica Moser to win. Setting her personal best while doing it ! Indoors it seems easier as there is no wind factor. Watched the US College Women Pole Vaulting Championship at Oregon outdoors & competitors were trying to time the wind.
I connect with the Russian Sidorova's focus, resilience and how she kicks butt in this sport! I see and feel an ocean of strength in this goddess. She is a beautiful strong woman.
U can see how they want to show good performances especially this year, which is why everyone is sad when it's not as good as they hoped it would be. Heartbreaking how sad some of them were😔

Well, she wasn't there because that was a EUROPEAN indoor championship. She is good but I wouldn't say she is the best, and definietly not the best of all time. I think Morris is on pair with Anzhelika Sidorova (who is technically better I think). By the way Tina Sutej is a slovenian pole vaulter. My favorite is Eliza McCartney. Maybe not the best, but she definietly has a place on the big field, and I think she can cause surprise in the next few events.

Morris is my favorite because of the person she is outside polevault.a kind generous person who reaches out to school children as a role model and tries to help people.lets face it all these women are winners and are within centimeters of eachother.not only beautiful but so hardworking and dedicated to their chosen sport.since the 90s look at how much higher they are vaulting. At least runners get to do their event and disappear, while field athletes spend 90 percent of a day sitting and waiting. it's especially eerie in a big stadium with no spectators.

But just consider this: national athletic associations only started recognising women's pole vault as a championship event in the 1990s. You can't look at women vaulting in international events and honestly say that the world was better without it.
So many of my favorites are not here. Eliza McCartney, Angelica Bengstonn, Sandi Morris, robeylis peinado , etc. I guess it was because of covid-19 and travel restrictions.
